Surprised you used your Osmo Pocket 3 out in the rain and it didn't get damaged! Thanks for the video, it's helpful for getting my mind wrapped around how to plan out how to get different b-roll footage or different shots to help with visual storytelling.
Ahh thank you!!! He WILL do a color grading tutorial, we're just catching up on some wedding work right now but definitely a video we plan on making :)
Just found your channel and immediately subscribed 🤍 you content is so beautiful and informative! I would die for a color grading tutorial, or if you guys released luts!
I had no idea that Japan had crystal blue water and coral like that - gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, loved discovering your channel recently and enjoy the vlogs 🫶 Also, your family seems so sweet!!
I was surprised at the beauty of Okinawa too!! I've never felt the need to go since I'm from Hawai'i but am so glad that I finally got to visit! I'm glad the algorithm brought you here <33
YAAY thank you! I wanted to add a little touch of Japanese tv to these Japan vlogs 🤭 and I am so glad to hear the color is good because we RUSHED this one a bit 😅
mari and the umbrella omg!! love love love your videos, the color grading, and just your overall vibe and personality! def taking inspiration from u in your travel vlogs. 🤍
this was such a great video i was so surprised with the tone because i feel like all other of the sort i've seen were just sooo overwhelming.. thank you so much i really enjoyed it!!
I remember summers at my grandmas house, there were SOOO many semi in our yard. I would SPRINT from the garage to the house because I was scared they were going to fly towards me! I'm glad to hear they're getting love from people like you :') hahah
We are a locally owned small camping rental company. Our whole business is supported by tourists. Mostly those visiting Yellowstone & The Tetons. Renting a vehicle from big corporations wouldn’t help the locals very much. But choosing to just opt for locally owned companies for your vehicles, accommodations, and tours absolutely helps. And you typically should get much better service from these small businesses.
Thanks so much for this in depth guide! Really appreciate the list and guidance. I imagine your partner's packing may have looked different, but any guidance on what he packed? Im headed there in November and want to be ready!
Yes of course! He actually just brought a bunch of clothes -- shorts, board shorts, t-shirts, a couple button-up shirts for dinner and just one long pants. I think for November, it will be much cooler so I would bring more long pants instead of shorts, longer sleeves, and things to layer on top!
Also you mentioned something about wearing the same outfits, I just wanted to say that I think it's okay to do that because it shows that you take care of the things you have and honestly so what if you wore the same thing twice your vlogs are already impressive.
I say again that the comfort and professionalism that your videos give off are outstanding. The effort and camera knowledge is there along with that personal touch of traditional vlogging. You're definitely an inspiration (vibe) Please don't stop making videos.
your color grading is to die for (on top of all of the absolutely flawless cinematography fundamentals that you and your partner always implement in all of your work)! I am also heading back to japan in january and I can't wait for your guys' next drop of japan vlog content because I lovedddd your prior ones (gave me a lot of inspiration for my trip earlier this year as well :D). also!! if I remember correctly, they completely STOPPED issuing/making the 2000 yen bills so they are super collectible and when I was in Japan in february this year, there were private buyers buying 2000 yen bills for ~6-7-8000 yen !! I got blessed by my american bank when I exchanged with them and they gave me 15 CRISPY 2000 yen bills and I have now stored them away as my $2 bills of Japan haha. okay sorry for the tangent but I hope yall have fun out there and again, cannot wait for the footage!!
omg thank you so much :') I'm glad you enjoyed those older vlogs, they're like digital time capsules for me!! And I had NO idea that they stopped making the 2000 yen bills. I'm going to go tuck mine away now 🤓
I felt sad when you said that you need a job to allow you to surf more, I directly guessed you were American at that point. Most country in the world allow you to have 5 weeks holidays and you could do more surfing trip. Do not hesitate to leave the US, there is a lot of country with better working conditions, you only live Once !
I AM from the US hahah. I actually don't have it too bad since I'm a freelancer but I just don't make enough to be traveling around all the time! I've honestly been considering moving out of the US though, I'm taking this as a little sign that I'm headed towards the right decision 🫣💕
I just found your channel and i love your style! I’m surprised you don’t have more subscribers. Excited to see more of your videos and vlogs! I lived in japan in middle school for a year and a half and miss it. I was booked for a trip April 2020 with some of my best friends but sadly had to cancel. We all got married since then so it’s been harder to get everyone together and go again but hopefully will book another trip soon!
Thank you so much 🥺 I hope you're able to book a trip soon too!! I'm so curious on what middle school was like in Japan. I only went up to half of first grade so I barely remember what it's like but I have the image of it being strict there!
@@wegofilm thanks! My wife has never been to Japan so definitely on our list! I actually went to an international American school in Tokyo so not quite Japanese traditional strict but the standards were definitely higher! But I loved it.
@@jeffreyyahiro9704 I've been thinking about the future (having kids, where the raise them, etc.) and been considering international school in Japan as an option! I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience, thank you so much for sharing!
@@wegofilm yeah definitely! We’re in that stage as well. Honestly it’s a lot to think about! I went to the American school in Japan in Chofu and it was a really good experience. But obviously it’s been a while since I was there. Hope all goes well! I’ll be following your journey! Have fun on your trip!
@@jeffreyyahiro9704so much to think about!! I don’t want to leave Hawai’i but I want my future kids to be close to their grandparents, cousins, aunties/uncles 🥲 I will definitely be researching a bit into American/International schools in Japan. Thank you 🙏🙏
Exciting that you’re going to Japan! I went back in April and I’m just getting to edit all the footage I shot when I was there for a personal project. Looking forward to seeing your videos from your trip!
@@wegofilm it was great for me; I live in San Diego so it was pretty similar outside of a few humid moments (although most of my sweat came from me carrying my camera bag all the time 😅). Best day I had was in Aomori, got really lucky with the weather since I traveled to Hirosaki for their cherry blossom festival and it was the only sunny day out of a week of rain!
