Seconding Joseph's comment from last year. Really insightful discussion and it's uplifting to hear how much power such a simple process can have. I'll be checking out the IIRP's offerings for sure!

Do you have a similar story or experience you can share? What was your favorite quote or concept discussed during the session? Do you agree that we are in a state of "leadership purgatory" and/or that the narrative and paradigm need to shift?

Philosophy is a taking of a position of the thought vis-a-vis the problems which arise. And to define is to pose in such a way that the opposite of what is posed is excluded. To define is to discriminate. To have a vision which transcends the self and which tells others what it perceives to horizon in order to arouse the available energies, to channel them by a benevolent approach which avoids dispersion, towards achievement. The ability to deploy to represent oneself, the feelings of others, is one of the determining qualities.

Oh technology...wonderful for connecting us to amazing people and allowing us to have great dialogue, but also tricky sometimes. Less than optimal audio on my end, but the words of wisdom from Sally come through loud and clear - and that's the most important part of the interview! What was your favorite insight from Sally?

One of may favorite messages from the session - prioritizing profit doesn't mean you are putting money over people! Rather, it enables you to do the work you love, more effectively serve your clients and customers, and no longer have anxiety around your business finances! Take the fear out of finances, shift your money mindset, and appreciate the opportunities and freedom financial wealth provides. What is your money story? What were you told/taught/messaged about money growing up?

When giving directions, you wouldn't just say "go north" and expect the person to arrive at their destination, but you also don't want to rattle off a list of unnecessary detail that will just overwhelm the person - think of giving feedback this way. You want to provide enough detail to help the person move forward and grow (be specific and objective) but don't overwhelm them with a laundry list of things to improve (and don't micromanage!).
