A few points of criticism. First the baby boomers capital is not gone. Considering we have just been through the great bull market most retirees probably are dying with more capital then they started with. Then the capital is passed on to their children. Third the money that they spent did not leave the economy it went into others paychecks then reinvested. As far as demographics is concerned it could be solved via immigration.
No one is hiring. They are collecting personal information for sale. I have noticed layoffs lately. So no companies are not hiring. It's been this way for a few years now.
Dear Sir. I'm writing the next very carefully, with several levels of meaning. "There is a labor shortage in America, at the wage levels offered". One key is the phrase "at the wage levels offered". Unless both the number of jobs and the pay levels improve, a number of effects happen. I.) the gross consumer market shrinks (no money for discretionary spending). 2.) the tax take per worker is at like 45% or more [example in California - 14.1% SS, up to 15 % state, 10% sales, federal tax, Obama health care tax, Property tax (which is also an indirect rental tax), credit and mortgage tax, required insurance tax, and special fees. Yes, I'm being loose with the word "tax": the point is all these items kill off discretionary income. 3). Excessive and idiotic regulations have an effect of greatly increasing the price and waste factors. For example, where I live, I use neither AC nor heating. Yet my windows are double paned and sealed, which also raises the cost of repair when a baseball breaks one. And I have a central heater that has not been used in at least 30 years. Summary: No lack of labor, provided adequate compensation. Compensation includes more than just pay and work conditions.
I like listening to what you are saying but it’s not clear what direction the country will go to resolve the dilemma’s. Shrinking number of workers and shrinking capital markets. Pretty soon the millennial’s and others will need to decide whether to off shore production to Mexico or Vietnam or let go of certain aspects of the manufacturing economy. If the political environment will continue to deny immigrants to work in this country legally then the shortage of workers will make everything more expensive.
As people are feeling the squeeze of lower pay and worse living conditions will NOT rise a child! That would be irresponsible. Hope? what hope!! We are at a crossroad. The transition to the next "normal" is unknown and could be a hard one. It will take a decade or more to be stabilized again. Believe me, the good times we have been used to, has ended. Probably for a very long time.
Comparison to post WWII Germany breaks down. Why? First, the reason Germany was immediately given a wonderful and generous reconstruction Marshall package was because US et al desperately needed them as a military ally. To fight off RUSSIA! We were frantic to get German military, nuclear, and rocketry expertise. What expertise can we get from Russia? Besides incompetence and beasteality the people of Russia have demonstrated an utter and complete lack of humanity. Too much of the fabulous wonderful creative Russian soul has ended up to be support for Putin's gangsters and the military mass 2:30 murder of their neighbor Ukraine. We all agree Russia is merely a gas station posing as a nation. But it is also posing as a wonderful center of literature and the arts. Really? One or two composers 100 years ago. Two or three novelists and three or four playwrights? Doesn't really add up. Not like Germany. Russia can't revert back to the past culture of industrial achievement, warm hearts, and creativity. It never had any of those attributes. The German people in the 1930s truly were lead into disaster by an evil genius and his murderous cohorts. They were taken by surprise and then it was too late. Russia was not taken by surprise. Hell no. Russians have always known all about tyranny. Tyrant czars. Then the Bolsheviks. Then the USSR. But when Gorbachev handed the Russians an opportunity to live well and free, they still let the KGB and Putin into the Kremlin.
Have you ever been to Central America??? You’re not only allowing people in, you’re allowing culture. If you think it’s not very different there you’re delusional
CNBC reported that layoffs are at a 15 year high (Sep 5, 2024). There is no shortage of workers. What there is is a shortage of opportunity. "Layoffs soared in August, hitting their highest total for the month in 15 years, while year-to-date hiring reached a historic low, outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas reported Thursday. Announced job cuts totaled 75,891 for the month, lurching 193% higher than July. Though the total was just 1% higher than the same month in 2023, it was the highest number for August going back to 2009, as the economy was still escaping the worst of the global financial crisis. On the hiring front, companies said they were adding just 6,101 new workers, up by nearly 2,500 since July, but down more than 21% from August 2023. The year-to-date hiring announcements of nearly 80,000 is the lowest total in history going back to 2005."
It seems like the boomers in charge of everything have no plan except to just close up shop when they retire. The time to hire future leaders is a decade ahead of time, not the month before you leave.
Looks like those bell curves prove illegal immigrants are needed to provide employees and new little future tax payers. Not enough tax payers means less taxes to pay for the oldies government paid benefits.
Unless China and the rest BRICS sell all US Treasuries in a coordinate attack on the Dollar . That's why they've all been Buying Gold and Silver . Just a thought and a scary thought at that .
Lol...what....unchecked immigration and transing the kids shutting down our energy and food supply....destroying our economy for the global warming hoax....thats as far left as it gets
1:04 as someone born and raised in America, I have my doubts. This place is now full of morons. Everyone is a lazy dumbass and no one can do their job anymore
This guy might know something about the US but he knows sh1t about Mexico. Every single word he said, literally is wrong. To understand the situation of your backyard, refer to someone who understands the whole deal…
Poor Petieboi...he knows the same nothing about inflation that he knows about how nations are actually run. Hellooooooooooooo...Pete...investment is not inflationary. Inflation is created as policy by your precious neoliberal world order over producing currency. This comes in 3 basic forms, but is not limited to them; First, too much debt. Second, too much deficit. Third, government "investment" and welfare. That's it. Too much currency in circulation creates inflation. Prices and costs rise because the CURRENCY IS WORTHLESS. Period. End of lesson.
Fertilizers and pesticides happen to be chemicals. No chemicals no crops. If we run low on food, the fussy can wait until the organic crops come in from heaven.- I'm eating until then.
@@timmcm9538 We need to reduce the role of pesticides in our food . Residues of these chemicals get ingested . We need to move to lower intensity type of farming that relies less on chemicals
@@eamonhannon1103 if you reduce yields by half, you need double the land for the same yield. Land that is idle because of topography, drainage, climate... So we clear more rainforest? Double the acreage means double seed costs, double the diesel required... food costs jump + environmental impact + increased carbon footprint. Your solutions sound like BIG problems 🇨🇦
The Chinese wildly over reacted to the mistake bombing. It was a conflict zone after all. The Chinese also quickly forget all the assistance they got from this country during their rise to power. They are no friends to this nation.
O Goblin do Kremlin disse que as sanções apenas iriam fortalecer a ditadura do império do mal... Quem somos nós para lhe desagradar acabando com as sanções?
