Awesome. That's all I needed. I have a bad power outlet. Fuse is good, power present, but the socket is old and flaky. Buying a new one. I put a stereo in a few years ago that's almost exactly like yours. I love the usb port on it for playing music. :D Many thanks! I just needed to remind myself how to take that bezel off. Best!
Having trouble taking out the passenger side, seems like alternator is in the way yet it seems you didn’t have to remove yours ? It’s a 92 corvette lt1
🤬!!!!! I haven't even watched all the video and i gotta give you a thumbs up solely based on we literally have the same truck down to the color. Exact match. Freakin crazy
Thanks for the video. I got a 96 xjs that’s been acting up (famous last words). Changed the spark plugs and ignition coils. Now just need to clean the injectors, hopefully don’t need new ones. Question: How do you know you need new baskets? And if you do where do you recommend sourcing them? Thanks again. Edgar
If they are the original injectors and you're gonna pull them to clean them, i would just change the baskets. They are not outrageously priced. You should be able to pick them up at your local part store or eBay and Amazon , rockauto may have them as well
You are awesome I would add that my 97 had a misfire at bank four plug and coil checked good but each coil has wires and one of my wires was smashed under the coil screw which was grounding it out after bending it straight and massaging the wire back to its shape the misfire went .completely away
Yeah, sorry about that. It was the only place i had to hook the camera. Working with what i had, hopefully, my later videos camera angles have been better
I didn't check a code for it. I noticed it would go from heat to cool by itself. Also i looked through the heater box under the hood, and i could see the door open then close randomly
@@tinkeringjoeVA interesting , thanks dude. I will try this before digging elsewhere. If this doesn't fix my problem I may have to install a new heater core,,,,great video by the way , and subscribed
Bar pins have the tendency to become loose and allow the shock eyelet to move side to side, reducing shock effectiveness. The bar pin eliminator converts the shock to a traditional captured shock mount. Also you dont have to replace broken bar pins
Great vid, do you still have your LT1? If so, check out my TB coolant bypass vid, we show how to keep the stock TB even cooler for a few extra ponies 🐴🐎
So just did this job on my 95 and now I’m getting little tiny droplets of oil on top of valve covers. Ugh.. can see a small amount drip of oil at valve cover lip. Maybe I’ll try some sealant. Everything was clean and new gaskets.
Great video and it was very helpful, I am working on the same issue with my 1993 Corvette and the problem is the plate on the back side of the window spins when I try to remove the screw (bolt) that hold the guide in place, did you run into this problem? Thanks
I had to grab onto the back plate with vice grips along the circumference and then loosen the bolt, and it worked, You can also use a tool called a spanner tool. @@tinkeringjoeVA
I know you posted this 2 yrs ago but I hope you see my comment. Thank you for posting this video, it encourages all of us that don't have fancy tools or shops, that we can still make some simple content that helps the community.
