Grest video Dan. I have a 42 B and a stamped frame B which is not running water got into it. I will be tewring it down for a complete overhaul/rebuild. This video will be very valuable....
Ouh boy. i have some vibration under the cab. i have to look this up tomorrow. it is middle of the hay season, i dont need this kind of mess right now :D
For this issue, you notice the warning sign when you turn off the tractor. The worse the tractor shakes when you shut it off the closer it is to doing it. Also when are are below 900 RPM. As it spins down the shaft shakes within the clearance of the splines. What exact model do you have?
@@DanielFarmChannel It is 6420 with powerquad transmission. it starts vibrating after 2000 engine rpm and it feels that it vibrate most with "fourth powershift gear"
I don't think the shaft setup is the same in that tractor. You likely have another problem. They also did some things to fix this issue starting with the 10 series
Hi Warren! I'm glad you commented. I felt bad because I realized I missed your 650 in the video. Apologies. It was great meeting you there. I saw in a clip you had yours on the dyno! How'd she do?
@@DanielFarmChannel she did 19hp, I had my governor stoppage bolt too far out so only got to about 460PTO rpm. But for a tractor making 17 HP at the engine, 19hp at the PTO is very impressive. I'm proud of her
It's OK. My G was too fast. Realized later the Magento needed adjusted a little. Plus it's just a single barrel carb. Those duplex carbs I think are an advantage

Man that's a nice late A you were standing by!! I've seen all those games except for the one where your blind folded and have to get as close to the line as you can. The only ones I've actually done are crank your tractor get on it and beat the other to finish line and I've done the one where you back your drawbar into an egg just enough to leave a mark on the shell but not crack it.
Really nice video. Some of those tractors I have never seen. Beautiful tractors that represent a lot of history. Thank you very much for the video. Awesome!!!
I saw several nice A's which are my favorites!! Several nice H's also!! Which I have also taken a liking to!! Lol. Did you participate in any of the games?
@@DanielFarmChannel oh nice, I think I like that better than ours, this one pushes them off so sometimes when they hit the ground it pokes a hole in it
That is very satisfying to watch. To be honest I could quite happily follow your tractor around for the afternoon with a fold out chair and a coffee and watch this whilst enjoying the peace and the sunshine. Don’t suppose you’re in Wiltshire at all ? I’ll bring sandwiches as a bribe 😊
Dan, you mentioned in this video the need to seal the manifold bolts. Since I needed to replace the head on my B I needed to buy new bolts. I also went with brass nuts.
Yes, you have to seal the bolts/ studs. Use some sort of high temperature thread sealant. If not coolant will come through them since some of the holes pass into the coolant channel.
Check out part 1 of my A series, it should show you everything you need to know. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AYZ6ihL1lV8.htmlfeature=shared
Checkout part 1 of my A series. You have to take off the nose cone, steering wheel, steering end bearing cap, and take out the steering shaft. I show it all in the video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AYZ6ihL1lV8.htmlfeature=shared
Those are for the Power Lift system. Used for cultivators, the rockshaft and such. Just allows all up or all down. Precursor to the Powr-trol system that allowed fine adjustment.
@@DanielFarmChannel so the tractor has to be running to work it. It’s all the way up right now. It’s got 2 plows up front underneath and 3 on the rear behind the tires. I pressed the pedal nothing happened tho. But it was already all the way up.
@@DanielFarmChannelI figured out how to work it all after getting my Manual My B is a 42. Also have a 60 I’ve been working on and a A that is stuck I’m trying to free.
for me i very much like the video. personally i would like to see a deeper in depth video like a step by step but i do know that is a ton of work. it is good to see the good, bad and the ugly. especially on this tractor sense i have one of my own all your videos will be very informative and help me in the process
My other videos will be more step by step. Splitting it just didn't go according to plan and there were a lot of pieces already removed so I couldn't really do that.
