Based off everything you have said in here, my suggestion to your comment of gears and spending money or a new vehicle... I would say keep the truck. If you want to get a jeep to play with that's cool.. but I would re gear the truck and keep it. You know the truck and it's capabilities. And it serves many functions that you love. Its your toy when you want it to be and your work horse when you need it to be. Plus I always love seeing it out on the trails and witnessing what it can do! ❤ Cheers my friend. Great review! And to answer your question if I needed one I would get one like yours.
Thank you! Ok, I am leaning even more towards just regearing. That is true, I am learning its capabilities and its limitations, which is a great thing to know. TBH, I am surprised on what it is able to accomplish off road. Cheers! Talk soon, and we will see you on the trails :D
I got a 2017 SLT. The Warlock is basically from the SLT trim but has the add ons. 3.6L V6. Came with stock 265/70r17 Kelly Edge AT. Was getting 18-19mpg, most was 22.7. Got a set of Rebel rims with LT285/70r17s for $500 used off marketplace not too long ago and I'm getting 17mpg. Yeah the V6 is a bit quick, not fast. I'll take it over any turbo V6/I6 engines.
I'm having this car for 2 weeks [ loaner]... 3.6 engine amazing for gas....like 21-23 mpg....my own 2020 ram rebel 5.7.... like 12Z-14 mpg...3.6 double yo gas mileage
@@aalcorn409 ride quality is the same as stock. Its maintains its smooth ride and comfort which i like. You will notice the center of gravity difference with sitting a little bit higher and in extreme cases you can bottom out the shock earlier, and i do mean in extreme off roading situations or trying to go fast over moguls. Tbh i feel its more of the trucks stock features are the limit. Anyways, ride quality is still as good as OEM.
@@I_am_TrevorJ Good to hear. Just to be specific, I have a 2” leveling strut on my front side and I also swapped my OEM rear shock absorbers for a 0-2” Bilstein 5100s.
@@I_am_TrevorJ With the 5100s you can tell the difference in with the ride comfort. Plus they aren’t close to bottoming out, so that’s the good thing about them. When I replace them with the OEM parts they were already bottom out.
Yeah, that is the reason I stress that these are not for winter. People here have been saying these are good for winter conditions, to those people, I don't think they have ever run a dedicated winter tire. There is a huge performance gap.
I have the folder of clips labled as "Sandilands Safari" I don't know the exact location. Join in on one of our groups, Manitoba Trailrunners on FB is a good one for join in with others to go offroading.
@@enriquevenegas9931 After more researching, I couldn't buy it, the engine is a major liability. The lifters go out before 50k miles and knock like hell. Have two co-workers that warned me, they both went through it with theirs. Getting a 2025 F-150 with the 5.0l v8. Only downside to that one is the damn phaser rattle, but it's nothing comapred to the hemi. The electric motor crap is also a major problem if you don't get a classic
@@enriquevenegas9931 i have had a Hemi before. Had the tick to it, but ran until i sold it. I think i am going to keep running this V6 truck until it dies. Which could be soon if i keep towing with it. I should make an update on towing with the v6. Its not as bad as i thought it was going to be
Great shots 👏 do yo have a final video? Sub from a small german RU-vid filmmaker 🎥 i uploaded a model shooting too last weekend 🎬 best cinematic greetings from germany
Yeah, extremely simple to do on the rear of the truck. In all, 5 bolts, one for each shock, one for the track bar, and one for mounting each spacer at the top.
@@davelombardo1710 Oh it depends on the year make and model of the truck. Mine is at the top, which I thought was odd, as anyone we have put on in the past was just squeezed in at the bottom. Or on other trucks we have done, (leaf springs) it was literally a block and longer U-bolts.
@@philsviewsfilm thats a great question: ill make a video with a longer explanation. Tldr: i applied at a company that needed photos of their inventory. Long version to come.
@@colbyhenry2292 we have an open group on facebook called Manitoba Trail runners. People will post dates they are running a route. Join up! Come out next with a crew
Trail damage just means you and the Ram had fun! Crinkled sheet metal doesn't affect performance. It's the mechanicals that count -- protect them -- rearranging sheet metal is fun. Hope the paint job works.
Yeah! Exactly! I added two more layers of paint two days later as I saw some chips come off. To be fair, I did bottom out going over a sand/gravel crest
The trail run that made me fall in love with off roading!!!! My little renegade made me proud. I hope her new owner loves her as much as I did. Thanks for catching her in action.
From what I can tell, it is part of the ABS and Traction control system and is included with the truck. I have the lowest trim of the warlock and it has it, so I assume it was included in all models. Even the Wranglers and Gladiators have this system in place. Since it is just a program that uses the same sensors as the ABS, ESC, and Traction control. I found it activates when the system is in 4wd Low. It could be in 4wd drive high, but I don't usually get into places it would activate while in 4wd high.
Good thing your truck’s black. I just recently touched up my vehicle’s doors’ inner bottom panels with thermclad and rusts seem to reappear. The can said it can be painted on rusts directly but does not appear to do the job. Let me know how that stands after a couple of weeks!
I will update again in a month. I have been advised that I need to apply a few more coats than the 2 I did. TBH, I don't trust anything that says it can be painted right on rust like this. Never has worked in the past. If this fails, or rust come through, I will dremel out the spots properly.
@@wangwarren5908 started at Betker road and then looked for a route that could take us to Seven sisters lake. In the winter its the 761 snowman path i think.
I need to get that Jeep out of that good, clean looking water. It doesn't need to be in there for all the oils and grease to come off of it and get into the stream. I don't know what this man thinks he's doing. I wish he or she would get arrested
Horsepower is totally one of the indicators of how fast a car could be. Buts its not the only one. I guess it also depends and fast in what situations. Straight line, or track, or how it feels. A 500cc ATV at 70 kmh off road on a tight track feels so much faster compared to driving the R8 at 250+kmh on a smooth track.
