When Obito rented to Kabuto having Madara in his arsenal I always took that as shock from Obito. Because it's a big question as to how Kabuto found Madaras body. And given how Obito would think he's the only person alive that knew where Madaras body was it only makes sense.

Naruto was dodging light speed jutsus, sensing happenings across dimensions (Madara's Limbos that existed in another reality) in Naruto Shippuden. Meanwhile him being unable to sense Isshiki cuz he got smaller despite having the SPSM.
In regards to the plot hole of Obito not using the rinnegan I think it kinda makes sense. Nevermind that Obito didn’t really get time to practice those powers to be effective with them (since that seemingly stopped being an issue) Obito had a very powerful fighting-style he was already well-versed in, dumping rinnegan powers on top would be more likely to destabilize his flow as he prepares for his regular counter only to remember on the last second he has a new power to use on that situation. For all that sounds like something directed at the writers, as an RPG player (especially one with a fondness for magic-casters) I can attest that if it’s not something you use semi-regularly chances are that you will end up with a lot of spells (or Jutsus as the case may be) gathering dust on the bottom of your list as you learn and literally never use. This would be especially bad since the rinnegan has so many abilities that Nagato (one of the most OP characters in the anime) built six entire complementing fighting-styles upon just the unique techniques it gave him access to with enough leftover for Madara to pull up original stuff out of his ass later. And yes, that’s also my headcannon for why we only saw a baker’s dozen or so of Jutsus from Kakashi despite the hype of him copying a thousand and why Madara only used, like, 3-4 of the same techniques as Nagato despite being the one who awakened it in the first place.

You’re probably right about the idea that the Uchiha are only strong because of the main members. That being said, my problem is that all that makes the strong Uchiha strong, is that Uchiha genes. Take away their Sharingan and they go from top tier to high tier.
