This is a solid list! It would be amazing to have Neo Metal Sonic, Emerl, the Gun commander and Mephiles return as their own dedicated Boss fights. Time will tell on who ends up making the cut!
Since this game happens at the same time as Generations, I feel like there will be a Sonic boss fight akin to the one in the main Sonic Generations to overlap the 2 stories.
I feel the GUN mech fights are some of the more underrated boss battles from Sonic Adventure 2. I’d love for them to return in some way in future games!
I feel once this game’s finished it will look more graphically impressive and with the Konpaku system mechanic it could allow for a lot of interesting options. I hope there’s a lot of potential to mixup attacks and make combos!
You gotta also look at what the game is "visually adapting". Putting textures into a visual style like an anime where most of them don't have will just put games into uncanny valley territory. Look at Jump force, it visual style did not age well with it's attempt of integrating anime realistic textures . The flat cell shaded look even in games that is not based on anime are usually the "games" that visually age well. Like basically Persona 3 reloaded is pretty similar with how they shaded models in these Bleach games. So I don't see how that is a "bad thing". Anime artstyled games usually is more of how they do the "shading and lighting" for the models rather than textures. You should worry about textures when the game is aiming for the anime realistic Final fantasy look.
@Snzn18 while I’m definitely excited about this new Bleach game, I want it to do well and be a success for the Arena Fighter genre. Fingers crossed we get more trailers that flesh out the battle system and show off other aspects of what the game is like!

It would be a nice surprise to have the G.U.N. commander return with him piloting the Diablon mech, it’d make a great boss fight if the mechanics aren’t too repetitive and is fun to play!
If either Mephiles or Solaris end up appearing as Boss battles it would be a very cool homage along with Kingdom Valley to represent Shadow’s part of Sonic ‘06!

We already know three levels in Shadow Generations are from SA2, Heroes & '06, so levels from Rush, Colors, Boom, Lost World & Forces may happen. Yeah, of those games Shadow is only playable in one (Episode Shadow, Forces), absent in three (Colors for Wii, Rush & Lost World) and Not playable in two (Colors on DS & Sonic Boom). In Frontiers, Amy references Sticks, so we can't ignore the continuity includes all media. Maybe we'll have a fight with Dr. Eggman Nega & Lyric as Shadow's other Boss Fights. Also, I've played very few Sonic Games and also... *never* *beaten* *any* *of* *them.*
Out of all of these possibilities what I’d love most would be to have Shadow interact with Eggman Nega from Blaze’s Dimension. It could be not only interesting but also give some needed details about just how much that world contrasts from Sonic’s. Maybe there’s even an alternate version of Shadow that exists in Blaze’s universe?! Either way I’m quite looking forward to this game!
Lost World and Forces wouldn't make any sense. Shadow's story takes place during the same time as Sonic and Sonic's events happened from 91 to 2010. It'll be the same for Shadow.
Shadow did on fact play a part in the overall plot of Sonic Forces by being the first main character to battle Infinite single handed. I’d personally love to see a rematch between the two someday!
My hopes for stages when it comes to what hasn’t already been announced would be the Black Comet, or The Last Way, from Shadow the Hedgehog as the final stage, building up a final battle with Black Doom. Also, for the already announced DLC stage, I actually want to see Dragon’s Lair from Black Knight. I get Shadow didn’t go through Black Knight, but DLC is a chance to represent stages that don’t matter to the story, and it could come with Lancelot as a skin. I would go insane if Shadow uses Chaos Control, like on the missile in the already shown stage, on the Earth Dragon. That’d feel so cathartic after the nightmare that boss was for me as a kid For Bosses, you’ve got the obvious of Sonic and Mephiles, but thanks to Dark Beginnings, Emerl would be amazing to see. Maybe Shadow Androids, or Neo Metal, or even the GUN Commander in his mech from Shadow the Hedgehog? There’s so many options
It would be pretty epic if either the Black Comet or The Last Way from Shadow the Hedgehog make an appearance as a returning stage. Even a combination of both meshed together to make one giant level would be peak of Sonic Team to pull off!
There is an admittedly small chance that GT is being saved as a final "hype bomb" announcement in August or September, but I personally wouldn't bet on it.
I would be very happy if that turns out to be the case with Bandai Namco saving GT characters as one of the final surprises, time will most definitely tell as we get closer to Sparking Zero’s launch day. Can’t wait for the next trailer to figure out what gets revealed next!
Nice list, but its a little weird how 06 was entirely omitted considering how iconic of a villian Mephiles is. Even bosses like Iblis or Egg Cerberus would be great to see return in glorious HD
I chose to omit Sonic ‘06 mainly because aside from Mephiles I didn’t see any reason to have the list be longer just for the sake of it. If I make a follow-up video I’ll definitely consider it along with any other games Shadow’s playable in!
Yoooo a boost style Egg Cerberus battle would be awesome. Do some damage running alongside it, then jump on and drive it thru architecture to deal massive damage!
I think if the Egg Cerberus was brought back that would be a very unique way of referencing the original boss battle from Sonic ‘06. It would be an interesting idea so long as the mechanics work properly I could see it being fun!
How do you think a Classic Shadow would look… one of his earlier designs like when he was originally going to be named Terios would be an interesting idea. A Dreamcast skin from Sonic Adventure 2 would ultimately be my favorite if this would be explored by SEGA and Sonic Team!
That makes two of us! I really hope every Super Saiyan 4’s moveset will stomp the God Ki forms and show what the true next level of Super Saiyan looks like!!

At the very least a Mephiles cameo would be interesting. I’d prefer to have an actual boss battle and be able to use Shadow’s inhibitor rings to prove why he was and still is the ultimate life form!
I think the gun boss blue falcon might take away really dramatic and theatrical bosses versing like mephiles, emeral, black doom, biolizard, fighting sonic, or even a dragon in sonic and the black knight haha. dudes just like, some human in a mech idk.
You have a strong list for possible bosses we could see return. I’d like forShadow to have a fight against Emerl in the game, hopefully he’ll appear and get some needed justice and add onto Shadow’s backstory even more like how the Dark Beginnings animation recently did!
I know it’s wishful thinking but personally I’d like to see more of Infinite and his character get more development… plus it’d be awesome to fight against him as Shadow!

@@Azure4Shore I personally don’t think we will but If we do it’ll probably only be a few (Maybe just one form for each). I’d say Z Broly LSS, Final Form Cooler and Super Janemba. I also don’t consider Bardock and Future Gohan as movie characters as they are actually part of the main continuity (Unlike the movie characters).
@MCWSam I’m holding out hope that for Broly, Cooler and Janemba they each get their full respective transformation line how they did in Budokai Tenkaichi 3. If only the most powerful forms would be considered then I suppose it’s better than none at all!

i figure were getting 4 bosses half of what we got in generations 1) sonic 2) biolizard 3) mephiles 4) black doom stages we had 7 with 14 acts so im guessing 4 with 8 acts but will end up being 5 with 10 acts when the dlc arrives 1) space colony ark 2) rail canyon 3) white acropolis 4) black comet? 5) dlc level space colony ark from the past battle with gizoid
That’s a pretty solid list, I hope they’re at least double the amount from Sonic Generations!! Depending on what other trailers show from the game I’d be open to making a follow-up video sharing additional stages I’d like to have included as well as my current thoughts on how I feel about the game!

I definitely want to see more of Emerl and his connection to Shadow’s backstory with Maria and the Space Colony Ark. If he does appear and Sky Troops does too they would be awesome references to Shadow’s stand-alone game!
I grew up with every Budokai and Tenkaichi game that came out back in the day… such fond memories. They’re still some of the most polished and fun Dragon Ball titles to go back and revisit!
I do hope that Bandai Namco choose to include GT content in the base game and not lock it behind a DLC paywall… it would be major disrespect to all the original fans who supported the Tenkaichi series for all these years! Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 will always be the two classic Dragon Ball games that I still enjoy going back to revisit!!
Some things i didn't really like: 1- Dark Souls didn't have a mana bar, it wasn't implemented until Dark Souls III. Instead of the Chosen Undead (DS1), it should have been The Ashen One (DS3) 2- From didn't implement a jumping mechanic until Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring (Other than jumping attacks, wich were made by pressing forward+heavy) 3- The mana bar never regenerated in DS3, you used a consumable to replenish it (or to get more uses in DS1 and DS2) 4- Up B didn't really seem like a direct reference, just a generic uppercut Everything else was spot on If I'd change anything I would start with this: The character could have been The Tarnished (ER). This would make the jumping more faithful to the franchise and The Tarnished could use Torrent for a double jump and Recovery But, I understand that The Chosen Undead is just too iconic. So I'm thinking of another alternative: Keep the jumping, as the Soulsborne's lack of jumping is just a mechanic and doesn't reflect real capabilities of the characters. But, the mana bar has to be reworked DS3 does have a mana bar, so it could be The Ashen One or the mana bar could just be replaced by DS1's magic system In DS1 and DS2 we have a limit to how many times you can cast a specific spell instead of a universal mana bar In order to not make TCU useless once their uses run out, they could have another spell that's a weaker / stronger version of the spell. On the other hand, the spell could be replaced by other spells that work differently like Magic Armament, Great Soul Arrow or Power Within replacing their "Neutral Special" I would like the spells to be replaced by stronger spells after running out of uses. The starting spells would be weaker, but they would have more uses This way TCU would have their stronger spells once they've already been fighting for a while, wich would Balance their high percentage if they survived and their stronger spells would have less uses in order to prevent spamming and keep things fair

I really appreciate the amount of depth shared, thank you for these nuggets of wisdom. It would be very interesting if there were additional mods created that incorporate these suggestions for a more varied playstyle. I’d love to see both Dark Souls 2 and 3’s protagonists get a similar treatment to Chosen Undead. Perhaps one day both the Bearer of the Curse and The Ashen One will as well!
@sebastiannoriega9466 It is the same bar that makes it easier to see during gameplay. Rivals is a fast-paced game, and The Stamina mechanic needs easy to understand and see.
Likewise I’m hoping that Bandai actually includes both the Z movies and Dragon Ball GT but maybe the vast majority of them could be hidden as unlockable characters as a nostalgic surprise. As long as they’re in the game in some way shape or form without having to shell out additional money then I’’d be pretty content with whichever route that might be!
My expectations for most returning characters moves that are brought back is that each one has additional camera angles or feature one or two entirely new attacks that are unique to the specific character. I’m hoping some of the Z movie villains get diverse movesets that help them really stand out on the roster!
I agree that for the most part GT is pretty mid, the fights with Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta from the Shadow Dragon saga in particular were awesome with the choreography and banter!
I know the love he has for rising but I still feel MGS 2 was Quinton Flynn at his best....a more fleshed out performance then just the ripper.....such a great pov character with his own dark past just trying to figure it out and caught up in something bigger then he could possibly comprehend

If memory serves me, there was a brief moment where Trunks actually goes Super Saiyan 2 after having his body possessed by Baby at the start of the Baby saga!
I just wish that Trunks did more throughout the duration of Dragon Ball GT and got a few fights where he actually was given moments to have the focus on him like in Z. The Goku Black arc’s ending still infuriates me to this day and Future Trunks was done so incredibly dirty. He deserves to have a better ending than what he was given that leaves Trunks’ timeline in a more hopeful spot for potential storylines!
@terralecoutain3056 what the Goku Black arc did to Trunks and his overall character development somehow stings that much harder than what Android 17 & 18 did to Future Gohan. It’s quite tough being a Dragon Ball fan while trying to make logical sense of everything in terms of continuity!
@humanman9920 I hope that Super 17 returns in Sparking Zero but maybe with a revamped moveset to make him more useful during battles and not just a damage sponge trying to gather energy for special attacks. Having a grab that’s like Android 19 & 20’s where they drain the opponents energy and health would not only fit Super 17 but help him be more fun to play as!
@@Azure4Shore Or he can just have the grab he actually did while keeping the absorbing to how it happened , they can just give more than normal amount of energy for landing the grab attack .
@@Azure4Shore definitely the classics like OG Broly, Coola, and Android 13. I personally love Turles and I think he’s super underrated. The OG Evil Goku with amazing Saiyan Armor. I loved how BT3 had Dr.Wheelo. What a fun character to play as
@Holtermatteson I know there’s a Japan exclusive Dragon Ball series called Super Dragon Ball Heroes that has Dr. Wheelo get a powered up version of his mechanical form… it’s interesting for a spinoff show and wish we could get an official english dub of it someday. They even have a golden form for Meta Cooler!!
No. If I have to waste money on cash grab DLC for features/characters that were BASE GAME features almost 20 years ago, I won't buy it at all. And frankly everyone who does is part of the problem. Corporate greed has shown us time and time again that the only thing that works it the stick. Saying 'thank you for the scraps, Massa' is unacceptable, and it's the reason the industry is in such bad shape as a whole right now. Companies are supposed to create products to service us in exchange for our money. That's the entire point. Corporations have forgotten their place, and accepting it or making excuses for them only further enables their evil. Ask Vegeta how it felt to live on his knees.

@@Azure4Shore, w. I always loved it when they locked characters behind unlock conditions like Raging Blast 2 because it meant you had to earn them. Hopefully they do a similar sort of thing like they did with SSJ4 Vegeta in one of the old Gen consoles.
@MasterXeno0 I would appreciate if Sparking Zero has at least a dozen or two sets of characters that can only be unlocked from reaching a specific part of Story Mode or maybe by fulfilling specific win conditions that give the player the task of winning as an alternate character for the battle. Can’t wait to see what else gets announced next!!
