I watched this video with great interest, thinking there's something that would be cool to do. Having a little available cash, but not unlimited, I was thinking the whole time that I was going to buy one of these for fun. As I watched, I was thinking $250, $350. Maybe even as much as $500 to $600, and I was going to do it. I was totally stunned when I found the price of $2100. This is clearly not a thing one does on a whim. Some have other hobbies with similar expenses and if it's a thing you're committed to and have worked up in skill and attention, it could be a reasonable thing to do but it's certainly not for the casual or newbie to RC car racing. Still, very cool engine and my comments are probably heavily influenced by my jealousy!
Yup. Runs as well as all the 70's and 80's carbureted engines did. Fuel injection is awesome. Check out Holley or Edelbrock for these old (full sized) motors. It will change your world. This is a really cool model...NO question....I love it.
Am I missing something? Why are some of these kits going for THOUSANDS of dollars?? I feel like you could literally buy a crate engine for that money. I’m all about hobbies but damn…
