So how does "fine, kinda" translates to "does exactly as it should"? Also, you forgot to mention what model you are using...

Had mine about a year now and use it for every edit. Yes it has an annoying wire, yes it’s a bit plastic. However, I find it very comfortable to edit on, have presets added and masks set to certain buttons and this really works well. Also when I want to review my whole gallery and make some minor adjustment to ensure consistency it is really quick and again comfortable to use. I still use my keyboard above it but find if I edit with the sliders I don’t have the same control and look at the sliders rather than the image. Has it made a massive difference to my editing time, no but it is quicker for sure but it is a more comfortable and enjoyable experience and would not go back.

I have LoupeDeck+ for about four year and would never be without one. Set mine up in a pull out drawer so it and keyboard are very easy to use. With the newer firmware it is useable in numerous application by adding them and almost unlimited customization for each. I prefer this deck over their others because I like having buttons and dials at hand. Muscle memory over time helps in speeding up the work flow for me.

So if you already have a real nas you can just plug this one in with usb and it add drives. I have a synology 2 bay nas but thinking about getting a larger one. 2 x 18 tb isent enuff for me so thinking getting 8 x 18 tb drives but 8 bay nas is insanely expensive so this if it work is more affordable I think.

Great video. I just picked this item up today. I'm thinking it may be a faulty model... No matter how loose I make the 2 knobs on the arm, both segments still point upward. I can push them down with some force, but then they pop right back up. Am I doing something wrong, or does it sound like I may have gotten a dud and need to return?
@BuyersGuyd

The springs in the arms will always be springy. They'll always want to point upward. You just need to balance that spring force with how heavy your camera is

@BuyersGuyd

It was just the 1/4-20 adapter that they give you with it that usually screws into the bottom of the gimbal I've just screwed it into the fx6 tripod mount. I'd definitely recommend fluid head or something instead though

@BuyersGuyd
@BuyersGuyd 8 месяцев назад
Not sure how to say exactly how small but I'm not a big dude and it can definitely get too tight for me if I reign it fully in. nice review, have you used this without a gimbal in order to have a more "natural" movement maybe? most cameras have stab and i was wondering if this could be a solution cause my rig is still 4,5 kg .... have you filmed anything in this way? you think it would worth use it without a gimbal? thanks :)
@BuyersGuyd
@BuyersGuyd 9 месяцев назад
Yeah I tried it out as a 3rd arm for "handheld" and it definitely works. You'd want some kind of dampened ballhead or bowl on top of it though to let you still point in any direction you want. Without a gimbal it's movement is a little stifled

Basically restricted. Because of the way the arm connects to the gimbal or camera it can't go in every direction smoothly or 360. So a head of some kind would fix that

I bought the loupedeck+, returned it shortly after, then gave it another shot and I'm pretty with you on it. When it works, I do like it, but I can't say it's saved me much time in LrC (I never use it in photoshop). I use the Speed Editor for Davinci and also feel pretty meh about it however I got the studio key with it so I feel like it was a freebie (since it's the same price with or without for studio). The nice thing about the Speed Editor is it's wireless so I keep it off my desk when I'm not using it but still close by so I can grab it while Davinci loads up. If you're into macro pads, the Razer Tartarus v2 isn't a bad option since it can take your hands of the keyboard and is infinitely customizable. The big pro there is it adds a scroll wheel to your left hand and gives your thumb more functionality than just the space bar key. The Synapse software isn't my favorite, but it gets the job done. I really wish these sorts of macro pads were more widespread so companies would compete with Razer, but unfortunately the only competitor I know of was logitech and they discontinued the G13 quite a few years ago. I guess Azeron's gaming pad would also fall in, but the price point, 3d printed materials, and steep learning curve are pretty tough to get over.

Don't have the crane4 but Id wager the rs3 could. The 35-150 is pretty damn heavy and the fx6 is much longer which makes it harder to balance than a more dslr shape like the r5c. If you want to be sure though you might have to try and find someone with the exact setup or close

Thanks! The crane 4 just came out so that might be something to look into also. I definitely like the rs3 though. Way more comfortable to hold than the crane 3s and the arms flex way less too. As for easyrig or front spring it kinda depends. The easyrig will probably take out more footsteps and give you more freedom of movement for the camera BUT you'll have to mount the gimbal upside down or use a ring
