Join me on a flight from KGEU (Glendale) then over to KDVT (Deer Valley) to do some pattern work! KDVT is always a fun/busy pattern to work as its home to one of the busiest student training schools in the Southwest.
Im Flying an RV-12 with dual Garmin G3X. Shot with GoPro Hero 8.

Cool video. If your at 2500 feet, aren't you below the SATR? Do you still need to call them anyway??

I usually call them at 2500, get the clearance and then climb up through 3k. You could cruise under it the whole way but I like the practice of talking to them, I’m still new to the pilot life😁!
