Hi! I'm Judy Cho. I am a Functional Medicine Practitioner, Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition and a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner focusing on root-cause healing starting with Carnivore Cure's all-meat elimination diet. I am the author of Carnivore Cure and The Complete Carnivore Diet for Beginners and the founder of the Carnivore Summit. When it comes to food, I believe in marrying ideals and real life. Wellness must be for all.

I firmly believe in food as medicine or food as a slow poison. I advocate holistic health, supporting evidence-based content around nutrition as a fundamental baseline of health and also exploring the mind, body, spirit (faith) and our environment.

I don’t believe in living in echo chambers because diet and wellness is not dogma. We should be open to new ideas.

My community wants root-cause healing (like I have) and I'll serve with the talents God has given me to bring forth topics to support you on your journey.

Never give up on healing.

I also ended up introducing certain carbs like fresh lemons, green apples and kiwis into my mostly-carnivore diet. I noticed that when I become too physically active I end up eventually "crashing" and feeling physically weak. Every so often, it helps me to pile up carbs on a single day every couple of weeks, but I noticed that it helps to fast on the very next day after doing this. Every day I add a lot of salt and squeeze fresh lemon over all of the meats that I slap. Based on my experiences thus far, I feel that Paul Saladino's stance to add carbs like fruits is correct, but not excessive quantities of them. Again, it seems to relate to physical activity/use of muscles, and if your activity is lower you might be able to recover based on the blood sugar spike that protein intake naturally causes.

Paul is a very active person, is hard to have hormones in balans when you are that active, so i thing this hormons being not perfect and those sins sugesting stress in the body my be result of long and intense workouts. I thing if someone is very activ i mean lile 2-3 h intense workouts everyday and is metabolicly healthy carbs are good. If someone is not active not healthy, metabolicly not well probobly is good way to go zero carb.

If we were meant to eat only meat we wouldn’t have omnivore teeth. Paul is living in Costa Rica and burning a ton of calories surfing every day which is why he needs to eat more carbs. Add to that the vegetables he eats are not contaminated with chemical fertilizers. Look at photos of people from the 1800’s and early 1900’s. They ate everything and were fit and ripped. So sad today’s nutritional “experts” can only see the world through the lens of the modern nutritional paradigm.

Your story is so interesting! I am a science graduate and I worked at KPMG in tax services many years ago. I was unhappy with my job, so I quit. Then got myself qualified as an accountant and worked at a small practice, earning much less than what I used to. Fast forward to now, I found the carnivore diet in 2022 and put my deep depression and anxiety into remission. I am happy for you that you were brave to change the course of your life and you are happy where you are right now. Thank you for what you do, healing people and sharing information so selflessly!

Thank you, Judy! Saladino's book turned me on to carnivore so I was deeply disappointed and disillusioned when he disavowed the carnivore diet. Now I can't even stand to see or listen to him.

I hate when people wanna go out of their way to find something wrong with carnivore diet! Now do the standard American diet! Let’s compare that! Why don’t you measure the essential vitamins & minerals in vegan foods & compare!

Every "body" is different! Some bodies are at one stage of healing; others, another! There isn't going to be a one-size fits all approach for everyone. Some people do and feel better with a strict carnivore approach, others a more animal based approach. Some more keto, some more paleo. That's totally fine, as long as the goal is healing - the gut, the body, and the mind. Whether it's Saladino, Berry, Berg, Deleur, Tufano, Baker, Snake Juice (Cole), or whether it's keto, paleo, carnivore, animal based, omad, 2meals a day, 16-8, etc...if you're finding the healing you're looking for or need, I applaud you. And I am grateful there are so many in this community with so many novel takes because there are so many "bodies" in need in healing! I think that's totally healthy, and to be expected when looking for the proper human diet for humanity. I think we can all agree it won't be veganism, tho. 😂😂😂

Hi , I am very interested if I could find the excel with blood work data , in the last few weeks I started to search more and more about Carnivore Diet, I am myself diagnosed with Hashimoto Thyroid since 2020 , at first I started a plant based diet which I can say it helped me , but over the course of the years things got back little by little, at this time I cannot say I feel bad but I dont feel extremly well either. I also started with a cholesterol of 300+ , Triglycerides of 723, and and LDL of 290+ HDL of 49 which is bad ( all of theese were at the start of 2020). After 1 and half year my Thyroid pannel went to normal, and I managed to lower Triglycerides to 169, LDL to 196, total cholesterol to 219 my HDL kept the same. So that being said I kept searching about diets supplements and all of that, and now I am studying the Carnivore Diet which I want to try but as I see is not as easy as directly eating only meat so I keep research , had an attemp of 1 week , but I felt very very bad , mainly I think of electrolytes which I didnt took , so ended stopin it and started research more. I would love to know where I can get such excels with Functional Ranges of BloodWork, so I can monitor myself. Thank you very much!

I’m glad Paul is finding what works for him, but it is frankly dangerous to recommend it as a panacea for others! Especially when he isn’t working with clients on a clinical level! All of his theories are based singularly on how he feels with his outrageously unconventional and unrelatable lifestyle.

I went Carnivore and lost hair, muscle, couldn't sleep and my heart began to skip beats. Carnivores told me I should eat more. That didn't help. It just made things worse. They told me to supplement electrolytes. That didn't help either. When you're eating a healthy diet, you shouldn't have to supplement anything. Now keep in mind, I was really healthy until I started on the Carnivore diet. I had no health issues. When I went back to eating my normal diet, which is similar to the diet Dr. Paul eats... my hair grew back, my muscles came back, I could sleep again and my heart beats regular now. My blood work is great. I'm 56 and I climb mountains like I did in my twenties. I have no health issues and all I can say is the diet that Dr. Paul has works great for me. And I must say that God didn't create all these wonderful fruits, herbs and vegetables for us to never savor and enjoy them. It's the processed foods that we shouldn't be eating. Diets shouldn't be confusing or hard to keep and follow. When I travelled to the Philippines... I noticed they ate lots of fresh fruits every single day. They seemed very healthy and don't have the diseases we have here in America. So it's the processed foods that are bad and not the fresh fruits. God made fruit for us to eat. But man makes the things that harm us... the vegetable and seed oils and processed sugars and chemicals. It's not confusing at all if you just use common sense and listen to God. Look at how are ancestors ate over 100 years age. They didn't have the diseases we have now. And they ate more than just meat. It's just crazy to limit yourself when God gave us so much to enjoy here on Earth.

Paul Saladino's Info's Irresponsible & dangerous! Mixing glucose with protein, or fructose with protein, creates sticky proteins, causing glycation that sticks to the walls of our arteries hardening, clogging them, causing heart attacks, & strokes. Fructose glycates 7 times faster than glucose! Glucose Burns fast, volatile, & erratic, like rocket fuel! The early deaths of many carb loading bodybuilders dictate the outcome of burning glucose for fuel! The damaging side effects that glucose & fructose has on our cells cause an inflammatory response. Glucose creates the same level of inflammatory response to our cells as meth & cocaine, with similar levels of addictive dopamine hormone spiking occurring in the addiction centers of the brain, lighting dopamine receptors like a Christmas tree. Repeat inflammatory responses over time damage the cell, disabling its ability to stop repairing, causing it to multiply into cancerous tumors. Two fuel types cannot enter a cell at the same time. We have to be burning fat in order to use our "fat soluble" vitamins. There's no such thing as an essential carbohydrate! Cell damage & nutrient deficiencies lead to autoimmune diseases, & eventually cancer. I see where Paul is headed. I wrote a note to paul about 38,000 characters long, explaining nutrition, & was Ignored... I get it though... I'm nobody in his eyes, & that was a waste of time. I'm pretty sure Paul's what's known in psychology as a narcissist, based on all the interviews that I've watched. Lots of videos where he just wasn't wrong about fake studies that have been proven false by many doctors, & specialists with much more accurate knowledge, that don't get their information from corrupt studies. Narcissists almost always think they're right, because they can't fathom the thought that they're wrong about anything, & don't care when they get something wrong, even if it hurts others. Narcissism is a condition caused during trauma, abuse, or chronic stress that creates a neurological disconnect in the mind to prevent a psychotic break. War & fake diets are the most common causes of narcissism. Narcissism is detectable with a brain scan. Narcissists like to shame & devalue others in an attempt to raise themselves up. Cheating, lying, & stealing their way through life without a care in the world. Narcissists feel empty inside, so creating arguments & turmoil through control & power over others to lift their ego, becomes their go to dopamine Spike, & it's very common for them to use dopamine spikes from food as well. Most narcissists go for addictive high insulin hyperpalatable fake foods, but ripe sweet fruits are nature's candy. Narcissism disconnects us from the side of the brain responsible for empathy, sympathy, compassion, remorse, & humility. It also hampers our ability to make logical conclusions & connections using intuition & reasoning skills. Let me know if you want more information. I'll write you an essay!

MRNA vaccines have been in the US pork supply for over 5 yrs now in most commercial livestock. Our planet is a toxic cesspool . All toxins bioaccumulate up the food chain. There has never been a documented case of a strict carnivore living to 100- not the Masai, not the Inuits. There have been several documented cases of long term vegans surpassing that milestone with all their mental faculties intact.

Good info! What should be the ideal C Peptide be. Also a few months ago i tried the carnivore diet for a month though was doing keto for several years with OMAD. Was curious about the carnivore diet so tried it. When i measured my fasting g blood glucose i was surprised to see it over 115. So i got a CGM and found my average during the night and day was around 85 most of time. I also noticed that sometimes BG reading varies with activity, sleep and stress so i also tested my cortisol next time and was normal. But since the LP-IR is calculated using fasting insulin and fasting blood glucose it could also be not as reliable if the fasting blood glucose one time measurement varies a lot during the day and is not an average for the day?

What if we can’t seem to eat enough on carnivore? We’re too full and feel sick? Shouldn’t the right diet be easy to do right? If someone like Paul can struggle with it too, isn’t that good evidence there’s likely something amiss? I’ve always thought this way about vegan diets whenever vegans say of other vegans that they “weren’t doing it right”. There seems something really off to me about a diet that isn’t easy to do right. And I say this as someone who has done the diet and loves it.

That’s a very “young” looking Paul in your videos…they must be from at least 2-3 years ago…..Today, he’s got a withdrawn/sunken face and leather skin from being out in the sun so much. But I do think he “feels” better on his current Animal-based diet than he did on the 100% carnivore diet….100% carnivore is way too restrictive for me…I enjoy a variety of Whole Foods: fruit, veggies (sauerkraut), dark chocolate, walnuts, sprouted oats, dairy, and other complex carbs, but do abstain from eating any gluten (20 yrs now)…More power to the people who can sustain a 100% carnivore diet more than a year. 👍🏼. To each their own.

Please don't take this as an attack, it's meant in the spirit of trying to learn and share. I have a lot of trouble reconciling the possible health benefits of a carnivore diet with what I am convinced are its ethical problems. I grew up on a farm and lived in middle America most of my life, and was raised on a typical American "meat and potatoes" diet. But as I've gotten older (65 now), I've become convinced that all animals are conscious to a greater or lesser degree, and I feel bad about them dying (or in the case of factory farming methods, suffering) for my benefit. I also have read a lot about how so much more land, water, and energy goes into producing meat, and I realize at the current human population levels, the Earth couldn't sustain everyone on a meat based diet. I'd appreciate feedback and constructive criticism of this view.

Thank you very much for this video, Judy. I have only recently found your channel, and have followed Paul's podcast for several years. I am curious what your analysis would be of the "Mastering Diabetes" people's recommendations, as they are type 1 diabetics saying that you should eat carbs to cure diabetes. Which certainly sounds backwards, but it must somehow be working for them, because they are Type 1's. Also curious about your take on Dr. Cate Shanahan's info. Is Hesperidin a direct anti-oxidant, or is it the kind that triggers anti-oxidants in the body (meaning that at too high of dosage it becomes a poison rather than having a hormetic effect)?
