Hi, I'm Stephanie. After a brush with fame a few years ago making my private live very public, I decided to regain control of my own narrative and stop all the fake news about me by posting my own updates instead. I stopped filming due to the pandemic but I'm getting started again now in 2024. Here I post videos about life with all its ups and downs.
Upcoming videos will be posted weekly starting in April 2024 and be about big and little life changes, modern dating and all its horror stories, lifestyle experiments, life in Spain and the UK, and travel in all its forms.
Be prepared for more light hearted Vlogs than technical how-to’s.
Nice to see you are back to yourself again, since you said that you decorated this space under the stairs, dose that mean that you got your house back? Love to see the tour of your house in one video, having said that you do your own DIY. Just an idea for one of your videos.😊
It does indeed! As of a few days ago I am back in and… great minds think alike… I plan on doing a house tour and update on the situation next week or the week after, depending on how quickly I can get the decorating finished. 🧡
I took 2 trips and spoiled myself one night in a hotel, the rest were sleeping in the suv, in the summer heat, i don't know how people can do it on the cheap, i was sore and wore out by the end of the mini vacation
Oh of course! Very good question! Yes it was fine. I do plan on getting an all in one bottle with a shall we say feminine shaped top, as the traditional style requires a bottle and it could drip when you take it out. I’m doing some more car camping in the coming weeks so more videos to come, I’ll be sure to feature the new style I get. 😜
I drove about 20,000 miles in the last 2 years up and down the east US, sleeping at truck stops in my chevy spark. I took out all the passenger seats and made a foam composite bed platform to save on weight. With blackout window panels that are also black on the outside with a dark window tint, I sleep better at truck stops than indoors.
I have seen a lot more cases of ME in Western societies although I have seen a few cases in my home country as well. Do you think it might have to do with geographic location or diet?
I am no expert but I would guess there’s a number of possibilities. 1. Lack of diagnoses as opposed to less common, 2. The burn out culture, I have family world wide and though all work hard, the western ones tend not to take down time but the others will take the non working time to rest not constantly on the go. Would be interesting to know more one day.
I love your red Fiesta, and great go at camping in the car.I just started living/car camping full-time in my Fiesta after I built a platform and totally camperized my lil rig. I've documented most of the transition on my channel.
How cool! I’ll check out the channel sometime soon. I really enjoyed it and have more videos coming soon. Been hard recently as I was moving but definitely excited to get out again.
If it’s not for you, it’s not for you. I love that you found a bonus to it! I’ve been struggling to find a stable home life over the past few weeks and that’s made me realise how little I really need. We find the best lesson in each situation. 🧡
It sounds like you need a different solicitor with some better legal advice, because there are next steps to take, and "well, it's their house now" is really crap legal advisement, and just not true. You should be able to serve a legal eviction notice if they've overstayed their contracted tenancy. If they refuse to vacate by the date on the eviction notice, you can apply for an order for possession. If you're not asking for unpaid rent, then it can be a quicker process. They will have an opportunity to object, but will have to pay your court fees and leave the premises if the order is upheld. If they still fail to vacate, you apply for a warrant of possession, and then a bailiff will come and oversee them moving out. The bad news is that this can take a while, and you'll have to find a place to stay in the meantime. But you do have recourse and legal rights, and will get your house back.
Honestly, you're probably right. They are through the insurance company so if I could afford to hire someone privately I imagine they would be more eager to hurry the process to get paid. I will contact them with your suggestions though so thanks!
Unfortunately this is going to get worse for Landlords as Labour are changing the rules even more for tenants rights. I would never rent out my property now due to situations like this. Best of luck with this and I hope it sorts out ASAP.
Here's the thing: I think it's unbelievably naive to trust that someone is able to find a new home in the greater London area in just four months. That's close to impossible. Especially if your tenants are not super well off themselves. Initiating your return without your tenants out of your house was definitely a mistake. I guess you can blame them for exerting their rights but imagine yourself in their shoes, you can't just move your furniture and all your stuff around to other people's places until you eventually find a comparable place for yourself.
They wanted to move away from London, this wasn't me pushing them out. They told me they thought it was really cheap when they moved in because they were previously in central London paying double. I had to also give notice to leave and couldn't afford to keep both situations just in case they might possible change their mind (it's quite naive to think every landlord can afford that situation) and they had confirmed that they were leaving even the week before. the furniture was mine, so staying at the property and in their situation giving that they knew my situation I would have left. I can comprehend their side, I'm not an ogre, but it doesn't make me some naive or horrid person for not finding this situation fair.
@@StephanieSaintRemy I understand that you might think naive is too harsh a word to describe it but I still think it's imperative to always plan for the worst. And I don't believe you didn't know these laws existed prior to renting out your house or apartment. If the furniture is not too expensive or easily replacable and doesn't have too much sentimental value I'd put on craigslist or whatever equivalent you have and sell it off quickly. Losing items like a fridge or wahing mashine might motivate them to move out faster. Unless of course you made these items explicitly part of the contract.
FYI. Hasta - means UNTIL and "Now" is AHORA in Spanish. ASSHOLE!!! Hasta pronto means: Until soon. Just as well you're returning to the UK. Your arrogance smacks of stale beer and Fish & Chips.
Thanks for all the supportive kind comments ❤ for those that seem hung up on them being served notice I want to just clarify a couple of things as I clearly wasn’t clear enough… 1. The tenants were the ones that chose to leave. I was happy to continue and would have given them alternative accommodation (through insurance) while the building work was being completed but they said they wanted to move out of London anyway. They were told they could go whenever they wanted with no penalty by me if they wanted to leave early. They chose a date 4 months in the future and we all agreed to it and even with checking in days before they were confirmed to be leaving but the hour before, they changed their plans. The notice was only served as it was being managed by a company and regardless of who makes the decision to go, said company always serves it officially. 2. I found them through a national company who does checks, financial and reference. I also personally interviewed them and they both had well paid jobs and are private tenants. (I only mention them being private tenants because it was commented that they are overstaying because of seeking council housing but that’s not the case, my mum was a council tenant, I loved our home) 3. Aside from being fully managed, I also had landlord insurance so apart from having a crystal ball I’m not sure how I could have foreseen what was to come. 4. Don’t talk like I’m a bad landlord and ‘shouldn’t be providing’ accommodation to people… I rented it BELOW market value because it was only to cover the costs while I was living elsewhere, not to become rich. £1200 in Greater London for a 2 massive bedroom property in greater London with private garden, a driveway, an attic and basement one bedroom with a walk in wardrobe, private side access, freshly decorated throughout and I offered to GIVE them the TV kettle and microwave which they could take when they left. I also immediately fixed any and every issue, not waiting and even when they were at fault for blocking a drain TWICE I paid even though legally they are responsible for that type of issue. I feel you’ve had a bad landlord experience and I’m sad for that. But if decent landlords like me are scared away from renting their properties due to situations like this, how much worse would the rental market be?
"It was commented that they're seeking council housing" that was absolutely not commented. I commented that the council often rightfully advises people to stay beyond section 21 notices. That has nothing to do with people seeking council housing. Councils advises this to all kinds of people, rich, poor, high or low paying jobs.
@@sharonnichols1519 The point of a section 21 notice is that a landlord can subsequently initiate for a court to evict the tenant (which a landlord cannot do). A section 21 notice does not end a tenancy.
I knew that the new tenants rights law would cause major issues for people. Lots of bad tenants out there. The good news is that with the weird and wacky laws we now have in the UK you could burgle the house, steal some of their stuff to cover rent and the police won't touch you.
I would also like to point out that "my tenants made me homeless" is plainly incorrect. You left your previous place gambling on the property being vacant on a specific date and essentially made yourself homeless in the process. A section 21 notice does not end a tenancy. At the expiration of that notice, you can start a court process to end a tenancy. Only courts and tenants can end tenancies. What you do is educate yourself on housing rights BEFORE you become a landlord.
@@carinateske6261 so from what you’re saying. Anyone can set a date for tenants to leave but they can stay another year if they want and not pay.…are you actually for real. You clearly have no empathy or understanding yourself of the situation! Go crawl back under your rock you troll 🙄
British landlords are the most entitled landlords I have come across. They believe that once they become property owners that means that they have right to do anything with said property and that laws should not apply to them. They grew up on Thatcherism's legacy and don't believe in society.
I’m really hoping that they are not inherently horrible and more just disorganised and oblivious but who knows! I really appreciate your concern for my situation. 🧡
This will take 6 months.. I would hope that you can chase them with debt collection, but yes they are now squatting and for some reason they have those rights.. Its like noisy neighbors - theres nothing you can do to stop people playing loud music overnight and destroying your working life. Also say to the tenants that you will be chasing for all costs related to this - meaning missing rent, money incurred by you staying (your friend charging you money as an example) and legal fees.. so it's in their interest to leave as quickly as possible.
@@StephanieSaintRemy surely this should be a breach of contract and allow you to issue an accelerated eviction.. you might have to chase up money separately though. Being a victim of neighbor noise I can say I wish I could press charges and get payment for loss of work due to them.
@@old486whizzthey have breached many parts of the contract but at present doesn’t seem to make a difference. I really feel for your situation too. I’ve had the noisy neighbours and it’s awful. ❤
It sounds like you were neither ready nor informed about what being a landlord may entail, in which case you definitely should not be providing housing to people.
Excuse me? Tenants should not have the right to extort properties from landlords. I've been a landlord for 10 years, I can tell you with confidence that too many rights have been given to tenants and not enough responsibilities. I started out wanting to help people and I thought if I was kind and treated tenants the way I wanted to be treated they would return the favour. Nope. It's 100% a business, I just raised the rent and didn't lose an ounce of sleep. I tried my best, it just wasn't good enough for today's generation of entitled people.
@@carinateske6261 well I don't force people to rent from me and I'm charging several hundred dollars under market value for rent. If you feel so passionate about this I strongly encourage you to rent your home out for free. Be the change you're demanding from others.
Did you actually listen to what she said! Such an ignorant comment to make. Who can foresee that after doing everything correctly for your tenant they are going to turn around and treat you like garbage. Especially as they were the ones who wanted to leave in the first place and just because they couldn’t get their act together they decided they had the right to stay and leave her homeless even though they weren’t paying! Absolute joke 🙄
@@sharonnichols1519They're not treating her like garbage. Only courts and tenants can end tenancies. A sect 21 notice is only a first step for a landlord to initiate a court order later on. Councils often recommend that people stay past a section 21 notice because they otherwise cannot help with getting subsequent housing as the tenant would voluntarily give up the home.
The law here in Ireland is totally skewed in favour of the tenant as well it’s not fair on those landlords like yourself who aren’t doing it to make lots of money. I am very sorry to hear that you are going through this 😢
Thank you. Yes I have no sympathy for the landlords who leave them with broken things or hikers the rent etc but why it always seems to be the good landlords get the bad tenants and visa versa.
Rich or poor we all have these hard times whatever the situation, health money etc. It's all a part of life and let's be honest life would be boring if we didn't have difficult situations to get around. You will get things sorted in the end. Take care.
It is your home but you're going to have to play a longer and legal game to get it back. This is why I will never ever rent out my place initially because its not worth it tax wise but also because people are selfish as sadly you're learning. You'll have to stick to the laws and possibly get to court but you will get them out - eventually
@@StephanieSaintRemy I really do feel for you - its such a frustrating situation! I know you will get your home back - it seems so wrong to me that you have to do all the leg work - they should be doing the decent thing and just giving you your keys back in all honesty
Muchísimas gracias! Espero que si algún día decidas cortártelo, que lo dones también. Y con o sin pelo, eres guapa y lo más importante es ser guapa por dentro 🧡
Get your windows tinted with 1 - 5 % light and spray them window covers with black paint on one side. Do not park under a lamp post.... then you can stealth camp... change your mindset 😊 Subbed btw.
People will use the words brave and courageous when a women shaves her long hair. But they aren't running into a burning house saving lives What you are is amazing, stunning, bold, beautiful and sexy! Yes I said SEXY I loved this video and the voice over explaining your personal experiences and societies and generations views and reactions to a woman's hairstyle It's definitely pulverizing in certain countries!
Yes I agree! I'm not brave for shaving my hair, though actually, I have run into a burning building to save lives... true story! Haha! I'm glad you like the video. Thanks!
It was a fun video to watch and i commend your cause! I think it is real noble to donate for wigs for kids. One question---did you ever consider shaving your head smooth bald rather than buzzcut?
Honestly, no. Last time I kept it at a grade 2, this time I went for a grade 1 and didn't like how much I could see my scalp through it so let it grow back to a grade 2 which is where I want to keep it for the foreseeable. If I ever had to go skin, I would embrace it, but for now, no plans to. Though I never imagined that I would ever have it short at all so who knows!
Are you blind! First of all she looks absolutely beautiful with short hair and secondly she donated her hair to make wigs for children who have lost their hair through cancer! You have destroyed yourself with your ignorant comment!
@@MarcelloAllegretti If my hair was the only thing beautiful about me I’ve got more to be upset about than this comment. 😅 Plus I value my beauty by things like the fact I’m willing to shave my head to donate it to children with cancer over my looks.
@@StephanieSaintRemy 👀Please don't let ignorant children like him get to you... For what it's worth, I think you look amazing, rocking a buzzcut doesn't change that
Wowwww I LOVE this!!! You are so incredibly brave to shave it all off and absolutely stunning with a buzzcut!! I'm so proud and happy for you!!! <3333 Why did you shave it all off and may I repost this wonderful and brave act of kindness? xx
Thank you so much! I did it to donate it to a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair. Yes indeed you may repost, all I ask is that you credit me when you do. 🧡
