I disagree about Kylo in TFA. He's intimidating but no one takes him that seriously...until he kills Han Solo and then there are stakes. If Darth Vader is a laser beam, then Kylo Ren is a shotgun. Vader has laser focus in his plans, while Kylo Ren isn't. He's all over the place, like shotgun accuracy. THAT makes him more dangerous because Kylo is more dangerous. Then the other movies actually gave him character dev.
It's like I always say, this is your first time hearing this, but it's still true. If you mistreate nature, nature will have her revenge one way or another. So to people who think that we concerned nature, we never did. If you think otherwise, why are people hiding in your basement when a hurricane comes? NATURE IS THE ONLY FORCE ON THIS PLANET THAT WILL WIN EVERY TIME IN THE END!
Buddhism works well when you are able to live in a temple for the rest of your life and have no responsibilities in the world. Bur Buddhism is really hard to follow when you have to live as an average person with a job and bills.
another reason ankian was told not moron for his lose love one because sadness is negative emotion. negative emotions are part of the dark side there for should suppressed.
Ok, I saw an error. In the episode “R2 comes home” we have Commander Wolffe in his Clone armor. Yet in the description, The Malevolence episodes are after that episode, and Wolffe hasn’t gotten his scar or his armor. Now I don’t know if that’s for lore purposes or something else, but I thought I should point that out since I saw that error in my current watching. Edit: Also, the phase 2 armor as well in mercy mission.
It's worse. He's a Goku, a generic, flat character whose only appeal is to be very strong, to get stronger to fight the strongest. He's a character that would easily be created by a kid and put him to fight vs Superman.
Definitely prefer Episode 1's take. While I can see some sense in making them sillier to off-set the darkness of the Prequel trilogy... the silly battle droids persisted into TCW as well, which, at least for the first several seasons was relatively light all around for the most part. ROTS & onward, the droids have these uniform high pitch voices which are just kinda obnoxious and ONLY silly, which I don't like. Meanwhile, the droids in TPM are almost ALL unique -- the first speaking droid doesn't sound like the second, the one that stops them in the hangar is unique, there's one with an almost Boston-esque accent, the next time one speaks it has a unique voice & the droid that responds has this "digitally-coarse" voice reminiscent of Leia's Boushh disguise. And yet they all fit under the same "umbrella."
I miss the voices from the Phantom Menace. I get that George Lucas always used droids as comedic relief but I never actually liked any of the droid humor in the movies or the Clone Wars. I absolutely *hate* C-3PO and I think the type of humor they went with for comedic relief was terrible. But K-2SO is by far the best comedic relief the series has ever seen. He still cracks jokes, but the humor is dry and sarcastic, rather than obnoxious or infantile. It fits with the overall tone of the conflict and tension instead of breaking it with a completely dissonant one. If you put a B1 or a protocol droid in the same situation they wouldn't say the same things or have the same tone and it would take the viewer out of the moment. For example, as the wave of debris from Jedah city is approaching a B1 would probably say something like "Uh oh" or "What do we do" and then panic, and "C-3PO would start screaming about the statistics of survival, but K-2SO is a droid designed for strategic analysis, he analyzes the problem and makes a calm statement that still acts as a joke that highlights the danger of the situation without making it silly. "There's a problem on the horizon... there's no horizon." I don't care if some people think it's too grimdark, that's the type of tone Star Wars should have, and the comedic relief shouldn't be used to break the tone. It should be used to support and emphasize it.
If I could make one change about the movies, it would be the March of the Ents. Do it almost exactly like the book, just some double-time and a little shaping and cutting here and there for dramatic effect, and of course they sing this song as they march in.
I like the DEEP version from Clint young. I like it more because when I see a B2 battle droid it looks like it sounds like a deep and more scary than a B1 droid
They should only used Tim for Palpatine's Sith voice, while using Sam for his Senetor voice. Sam's Palpatine gives the illusuion of an old man, longest he does not try to sound sinister that is. So he deffinetly would nailed the role. Like he did in Lego Skywalker saga game.
I DO like the droid voices from the clone wars, but I ALSO like their voices from ROTS... I don't even know why... :) Also, if you listen to the B1s from ROTS, they all have a slightly unique pitch to their voices, some higher, like the pilot who said "We're leveling out sir" to more clone wars like the commander who handed grievous the Lightsabers and said "You’re WELCOME" or deeper like the b1 pilot who "Located the jedi in hallway 328". -A battle Droid nerd
Too bad Dave Filoni can’t write decent shows anymore. Also, I’m not fully convinced that Admiral Purple Haired Space Karen wasn’t a subtle piss take of Kathleen Kennedy, the poisonous rectal cancer….
Holdo reminds me of an art teacher I had when I was an undergraduate in Intermedia. He had the same traits as Holdo: smug, condescending, conceited, elitist, and an overall toxic asshole. He embodied every stereotype of pretentious art teachers and how Holdo was not fit to lead, he was not fit to teach. His explanations for assignments were extremely vague and nonsensical and every time I would ask him to elaborate he would act dismissive and would even have another student explain it to me instead of himself. Every time Holdo would tell Poe that there's a plan and to have hope, it reminded me of when the teacher would say "you're very close to breaking the surface" or "you're scraping at the surface." Its the same stall tactics bullshit artists use whenever they get confronted. So when I see Holdo, I see that teacher and my distain for her is doubled.
Right, and because of how well Luke's new philosophy worked, we, fortunately, have never seen a new dark lord being spawned from the jedi just after 30 years or something.
Ik most won’t agree with me but I much preferred the robotic voices like from The Phantom Menace, it was very realistic sounding and sometimes intimidating, even
Dee Bradley Baker is a really good voice actor and fit perfectly for the clone wars cartoon but I kinda wish they got another New Zealand person and made the clone more Pacific Islander looking, especially with the hair cuts 😭😭
These are suppose to be klling machines and occupation / police forces, under the control of Palpatine, not comedy relief. I think it's a dlgusting way to make the automaton thug tools of a pollce state seem ineptly likeable. Kind of a whitewashing. Fine if you're doing a comedy, like 'Hans are we the baddies', but is Star Wars a comedy?
