Why B2 Battle Droid Voices Changed

I like the super battle droid voice from Republic commando a lot it doesn't sound silly.

I like the idea that a voice speaker is just a mass produced part that by the end of the war the CIS just installed whatever they had on hand. Hence the different voices.

That B2 didn’t shove that B1. The B2 straight up became Grievous and punched that B1.

Battlefront 2 is actually silent, thats the commander telling you whats going on the battlefield.

It isn’t even about how they sound, but even moreso about how they use vocabulary. You can hear the Republic Commando droids being more blunt and official in their talking when compared to the RotS speech, who are more comedic; it is not just about the pitch of their voices.

I always thought because Battle Droids are usually destroyed and reused, some voices probably uses some B1 voice components especially earlier before the Supers were employed in AOTC with the Battlefront 2004 to BF II 2005 game and ROTS, especially when it's usually Dooku in-command

The super battledroids did have a voice in that one episode with commander thire in his phase 1 gear "im having a serious malfunction get out of the way" or smth he says and its a deeper voice

Clone Wars voices were always a good middle ground to me. They could be kind of intimidating in some situations, and kinda funny in others.

Honestly, the RotS B2 voice seems like it is just to mock the original criticism of the Battle Droids, being they sound funny. George surely gave them the higher pitched voice and "child talk", with simplified sentences, to poke fun at critics of the original droids.

The way I see it the battle droids all have different vocal variety, during times of conflict the droids become more militarized hence their much deeper more robotic vocalization.

Whenever Clint said “meat bags” I knew I was gonna be screwed. But I’m a little confused on why they didn’t use Clint’s intimidating voice for the B2 in the Phantom Menace.

I like the DEEP version from Clint young. I like it more because when I see a B2 battle droid it looks like it sounds like a deep and more scary than a B1 droid

I really hated the Episode III voice when I saw it after watching the clone wars, I think Commando had the best change to the voice 3:30 I always thought that was a B1

They should have mixed them. Have one with the new voice and one with the high. Have them bounce off eachother.

I prefer the Republic Commando voice, not sure why you might make them silly when the originals exist, the new voice sounds so much like an X-Men Sentinel it comes across as pretty derivative.

I DO like the droid voices from the clone wars, but I ALSO like their voices from ROTS... I don't even know why... :) Also, if you listen to the B1s from ROTS, they all have a slightly unique pitch to their voices, some higher, like the pilot who said "We're leveling out sir" to more clone wars like the commander who handed grievous the Lightsabers and said "You’re WELCOME" or deeper like the b1 pilot who "Located the jedi in hallway 328". -A battle Droid nerd

idk the B2 voice from TCWs don't really sound like the Jedi Survivor B2's to me.

Yeah, I honestly cant imagine any other voice than the one from the clone wars.

The rots super battle droids sound like the nerdy kid from the polar express

I personally would have ranked their authority of the seperatists droids like this: Super Tactical droid is above the Tactical droid, which is above the Battle droid, which is above the Super battle droid which is above the Comando droid, which is above the Droidica There have also been the IG-100 Magna guards, which are the droids from grievous which I would rank at the same Level as the Super battle droids And then comes the rest of the seperatistic drouds on which I refer to as "the client droids". Which got added later on the clone wars and didnt fully get integrated into the seperatistic battle environment and got more likelly adopted as a 3rd party thing Thats the pespectice how Ive seen it since I grew up with the prequils along with clone wars, I got to say that this way of ranking their authority seems to get more and more proven to be right
