I have it. The jerks and twitches can be annoying especially when I’m very tired. They also love to wake me in my sleep causing even more poor sleep. But at age 41 I’m so thankful they finally found what is wrong with me. That took a 3-5 min full seizure with no memory to finally get answers. But I’m thankful for a very good ER doc and neurologist. Thank you, and thank you the vlog. Very very helpful.

My 4 yr old just had second in six months. It’s like she’s in a very deep sleep and dreaming and starts stretching and tensing up and kind of talking. Cant wake her up when it happens. Not sure if it’s a seizure or not. It is scary. And advice or help appreciated

@GilSolanoREEGT Thank you for your kind words, my wife suffered a brain hemorrhage and has been on Sodium Valproate for many years, the fact she's never been checked, They told us the medication may have caused damaged to her brain, that why they introduced Keppra. It been stop now but my wife is still not back to normal. More worrying they are testing now for signs of dementia. She has been totally let down by our health service.

I was just prescribed Topiramate today for seizures. I'm a little confused about how it's supposed to stop the electric current, because my understanding was that a seizure occurs when the electric current stops or gets interrupted. I was on Dilatin and Gabapentin, but Doc says this is a better medication for me. I really hope this works, cause everyday is horrifying thinking that I can have a seizure at any given moment. Thank you for your channel. Best regards...

This drug work EXCELLENT FOR Pseudopapiledema as this can cause massive migraines also. The tingling, dopy feeling & many of the side effects listed will go away eventually. This medication cause weight lost also which is needed for this condition. I would say just work closely with your doctors. It's totally safe.

I was on Deppakote for a long time before Keppra, and what we found me and my neurologist doctor at the time when I lived in Michigan was that Depakote was making me gain weight and it was also making me lose my hair, so they were looking for a different medication with no those side effects and that’s why they put me on Keppra and so far it’s been working

My son was on Keppra twice p/Day and clobazam at night, that worked for 2 months and dr suggested reduce Keppra slowly…we were half way of the withdrawal and seizures came back, we increased again slowly and seizures got worst to the point he got Todd Syndrome on his right leg and arm. Now we are beginning to control the seizures still on Keppra + clobazam day and night. Not very high dose but im concern if this work and need to be permanent because I was hoping Keppra would do the work itself. He referred us to an epileptiologist but He will wait months before they see him. He’s 10y/o No side effects with Keppra bit I’m surprised how they came back harder when reducing the dosage.

Horrible medication!! My grandma was prescribed that for seizures and it caused her to lean on one side when she walked and ate, she lost her strength and her body became stiff and heavy. She was admitted to the ER because that medication caused her to lose so much balance and she fell and hit her head and had to get a transfusion of platelets. I do not recommend this medication to ANYONE

I hate all of these medications. I am doing my best to take them day by day (Firts 1 month after craniotomy, I was on Keppra and fall into depression and suicidal thoughts; none of my parents believed which was the worst part, they thought I was just down because of the surgery and that made me believe "Perhaps I am going crazy because my brain is still swollen" and then I investigated, proofed myself by taking the risk of not dose for two days and my old self returned) I am now using Phenytoin after talked with my doctor, he recommended 100 mg x3 during the day, but I am just taking 150 mg I know I should follow the instructions but I don't want to feel worse again which I know is going to happen again 😢

My daughter was diagnosed with JME last Feb at the age of 17. Since then she has not been able to drive because she may go 4 or 5 months without a seizure and then it happens out of no where. She is currently taking 4000mg of Keppra daily and I feel that it isn't working since we can never get to the 6 month mark of being seizure free. She's 18 now, her senior year in high school and feels like she has lost her freedom. When she does have a seizure, its either she has a grand mal or she passes out.

Same happens to me, every 4-5 months I have a grand mal seizure after waking up, usually around 30 minutes after, after having it I cry and cannot stand, I lose balance and feel I am dying
