I love free food. This is something I can pick in the wild here. It grows everywhere. It has a sweet, earthly flavor. What's something you can find growing wild where you live?
This was a fun recipe. I love trying "weird" food combinations. I would recommend trying this. What weird flavor combinations have you tried that turned out to be tasty?
This is still my favorite recipe for the itaki. It's so quick and it's versatile, so it never gets old. What are your favorite toppings to add to eggs?
Wow. It took me forever to get his video edited and posted! 😂 I need to work on my skills. At this point, this video is posted for the closing ceremony of the Paralympics! I do really enjoy these muffins with a cup of coffee. Did y'all watch the games? What were your favorites?
One of my husband's favorite desserts, this is not the king cake from New Orleans! This Galette des Rois is traditionally enjoyed on January 6 (Ephiphany or Twelfth night), but you can find them in bakeries starting in December. It is a puff pastry filled with frangipane (an almond cream). There are other traditional cakes served around the world to commemorate the visit of the 3 wise men to the baby Jesus. Maybe we will make one of those next!
Hot dogs are my guilty pleasure! I love them and I love finding new ways to serve them. I stumbled across this idea when I was looking for a new hot dog bun recipe. I think they are a fun and convenient way to enjoy a tube steak. Tell me, what would you dip these in ?
I used to make fun of people who treated their dogs like kids. Now here I am cooking for the dogs! Anyone else cook for their pets? Do you have a go to recipe for them?
I loved walking into the bakery store because we would have our choice of snack cakes for the week. I wish they would bring these apple cinnamon rolls back. I have been craving them ! What discontinued snacks are you missing?
Are you talking about on the sieve? I didn't notice it as much in real life but on the video ... it's gross. and I apologize. I will edit it out next time. I'm learning! Thanks for your feedback.
Anybody have a garden this year? I'm not growing anything because I have a puppy who needs to learn not to dig things up. Maybe next year? Any tips on training a dog not to pull up plants?
where did you get these?? Also I love my itaki lunch box so much my husband and I got a second one, I'm saving like $100-200 dollars on groceries a month now.
That is awesome! I love hearing that people are enjoying making homemade food. I picked these up at Marshall's I believe, but I've seen them in some speciality grocery stores, HomeGoods, and Ross.
I wish they did better about putting a recipe book with it! Seems we get a recipe book for every appliance. There are lots of recipes online thank goodness!
Looks good, going to have to try it,but since I’m diabetic going to try it with almond flour and no calorie sugar,my fav hot dog topping is Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise,I have found recently that honey mustard is great too for hot dogs🌭also love the onions, chili, cheese & so on for hot dogs too, essentially chili dogs with Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise or maybe even sour cream with some salsa for a more Mexican version😋great job & thanks for sharing🙌🥰♠️💀🌹
Oh!! Another mayo on hot dogs person! Yay! Miracle whip is good. I will try the honey mustard. let me know how it works with the almond flour. I love making bread, but I have yet to try one with almond flour. I found a pizza dough recipe with almond flour that I might try. Honestly, you may be able to leave the sugar out all together.
I’m kinda obsessed with mini appliances/lunchbox cookers, especially this one. I’m skeptical about Itaki though. I have another lunchbox steamer type cooker. I think your cake had too much liquid & oil for a steamed cake. I’m curious why you didn’t try to cook it longer in the Itaki. How noisy is this appliance & does it throw a lot of steam/water around in the air? Thanks
Oh I did try, but it wouldn't cook. My problem was I didn't cover it. Oops. I'm curious about the other lunchbox cookers. Which ones have you tried? I might order another to compare them. I also might be obsessed with mini appliances. I have quite a few. I even saw a mini hot plate with a mini skillet, but I didn't buy it. And as for noise.. it doesn't make much. I mean you can tell it's on, but it's not steaming up the room. What I find messy is when you got to take of the lid (on both versions I have) water goes every where!
There's barely any noise and you could even preset it to cook hours in advance. I only found out last week that the 'manual timer' option is what they meant by prescheduler! The instructions are lame and basic af so not much help. RU-vid's actually been great tons of people doing demos
@@charlescg3904 oh... well I learned something! Thanks for sharing. I do wish the company would provide more instructions with their appliances. You don't even get a basic cookbook with the Chefbox!
Oh the pecans sound great! Now that you mention it, when I was a teenager, I worked at a restaurant. My boss gave us rum cake with a big piping bag of whipped cream each Christmas. I forgot all about that.
Honesty, I feel like the construction of the original one is better. (The round one). It's also easier to fit things into. Not many options because it has one button and no timer. I have a few small cracks in the purple one, and it has been treated well. I see that they came out with a new one that is round with a timer. I wonder if the plastic housing on that one is as good as the original one.
oh ok. I looked it up. I vaguely remember that logo from childhood! hahaha. Purple is a hard color to photograph. This was actually purple, gold, and green for Mardi Gras. But I see what you see.
