@Patrick FRILLS I have a 100w on a sledge stone(grey) in my bearded tank. There is about 14 inches between light and stone, including the mesh lid, and my stone EASILY hits 105°F for basking. I do need a supplement DHP or CHI to raise ambient temp though.

@@jocelynmckervey5962 that depends on ambient and airflow around the tank. If you hit that level of heat over stone, the stone will radiate heat away as warm air

@Jocelyn Mckervey hi friend. With his enclosure & topper it is 5 feet of vertical height to heat. The HP & Halogen produce enough heat to travel 2 feet down, I'm getting 102°-108° at the basking area. I'm now using a small computer fan to circulate heat from top to bottom. Working well but destroys the humidity.

Petsmart doesn’t carry the 35w only the 50w My question is they both say comparable to 50-70 tungsten so what makes the 35w different than the 50w? Same temps/speed just less wattage? Or same temp but slower heat up and less wattage?
