Make sure connections are clean and tight. If your stock lights worked fine then maybe the new ones are defective. Ask for some new ones. Mine work fine and still look good as of today.
@SanDiego_VDubLife thanks for the reply, I bench checked the old and new lights they work fine. Fuses are good I can't figure out what's the deal with this smh
@@MrAlexjr06 Bench test won't identify if there is an issue with connectivity. I would reinstall the stock lights and see what happens. If you have no problems then it is the after market lights. If you face issues with the stock lights when reinstalled then something went wrong with the connections.
just installed a set of these into a 02 GTI. the car had factory fogs, plug and play. Did you figure out what that harness with the little clip is for?
Not sure what which one your talking about but if it was extra it was prob for the fog lights that I don’t have on my car stock so I will have to go buy some OEM fogs to install on these light housings. I may do that in the future.
This is exactly the kit I used for my Beetle, however on my Beetle (2001) it took a bit more "creativity" On my Beetle the screws are set way deeper, so if you somplt put the magnetic catch in, it is too deep to catch the metal disc on the lid. Also they are at an odd angle and will not contact the lid nice and flat. So Beetle owners, if you want this kit to work, you have to be a bit more creative. Do like I did and mount the magnets at the very top edge of the glove box. I dropped the glove box, and epoxy in a wooden strip of square right behind the upper lip of the glove box. Then after the epoxy is all set, drill a 12mm hole, but do not go all the way threw your wood, just a hole threw the plastic to expose the wood. The mount the magnets with the screw provided into the wood. Set your black metlel catch prices onto your lid on the perfect contacting spot and your good. The Beetle has to be different and difficult, but it works marvelous 👍
I think you can turn the tie-rod tube without taking out the tie-rod end. It's the reason why they have opposite threads at each side. Some tie-rod bars have a flat side portion so you can get a wrench on it once you've undone the locknuts.
True but I wanted to upgrade to a newer style cooler. This style came stock on the later engines that VW built. Maybe 1600cc and later. It allows the air to flow directly onto the number three cylinder.
Yeah. Me neither. It was my first time seeing this tool. I paid $120 to have all four tires mounted and balanced and sensors programmed. Not sure if that was a good price or not?
Hello Brian, sorry to hear it didn't work. To clarify there is two options, one is to change the button color and the other is the color of the screen display. This video shows the process for the buttons. But it is a very similar process, it is just another step in the process. Keep going until you see the option for display and then hit select. Lemme know, maybe I should make another video explaining. Would you please watch and share that video if I make it?
Man, I just replaced my starter on a 06 Tundra and I noticed the same sharp/faster sound.. wondered the same.. maybe because it's new.. took a day to get used to it but damn feels amazing to have it start right up
Thanks for the video - Excellent! Just fixed my 09 Tacoma using the same methods that you did and it's working well. This literally saved me $700.00. The dealership wanted $500 for a new module and around $200 to install it. Great video.
I have ford focus ST I decided to remove the seats lot easier to get straps under it. I have had issues before with seat covers that come off the seat getting in and out of the car. Easy to unbolt seat 4 bolts 15MM socket on my dewalt impact driver I just flip ed the seat back so I could get under it.
Hey that is a good idea. I actually haven't had any problems with the seat cover coming off or sliding around. I just noticed lately that they are starting to fade a little bit so I might replace in a year or so, but they are so inexpensive it is worth it and they work great.
Ok, I have had this for a year+ now, and I cannot get my string head off to swap and try the orange blade head. When I twist it to the unlock 75% of it pops out like its supposed to but a portion of it is jammed in there. Any tips on getting that out anyone?
Usually it’s dirt or grass stuck in there. Try spraying with compressed air. If that doesn’t work try scrubbing with a toothbrush to loosen anything that may be jammed in there.
Yes the manual sucks, but come on my 10 year old granddaughter put it together without any instructions, and boy ,she ain't no genius lol. She only looked at the box. The only problem i have is trying to reattach the cutting head it is verry stiff but hopefully it will loosen up after use. I have limited use of hands due to arthritis so the line crank helps me out.
I’ve noticed the older and more use my string trimmer gets it can get more difficult. But if you take a brush and clean the head to loosen up the dirt and grass it comes off easier. Also clean before putting back together. The slots need to have a clear clean grooves to remove and install easier. Hope it helps.
Good video , i just had a pair of EMPI's to rebuild , the carbs i received had F3 in one and F56 in the other carb also different jets . i got the imulsion tube out be using a self taping screw into the tube hole and pulling it out . Done loads of Weber 34 ict's these were the first EMPI epc34's i have done nice carbs .
Interesting thanks for the info. I thought about the screw trick but I didn’t see any threads in the tube. I will look again. Where did you get your parts?
@@SanDiego_VDubLife Yea you know what I have had nothing but bad experiences with VHT. It ends up chipping within a short period of time, despite prep work. I remember one time in particular I bought high temperature red and it turned out to be orange.
@@Noneyabusinesscoolstorybro Yes, the paint hasn't lasted at all. But I think my prep was wrong because I used a rust converter paint first then I went over it with the high temp paint, so that probably caused it to fail. Not sure.
What is the correct carb? This is not a stock engine. It was a single port. I put dual port cb 044 heads and a quiet pack empi exhaust. It also has a 009 distributor. 88 cylinders as well
@@kenburkham5483 My point is that the stock carb is not correct because the engine is no longer stock. I don't remember off the top of my head, but I believe a stock carb for a single point 1500cc engine probably would have been a 32pict. Since I wasn't running a stock engine I was trying to increase the volume and air flow, thus I went with a larger carb, I think its a 34 pict in the video. I don't remember I think it was prob about 10 years ago.
@@kenburkham5483okay so I finally went back and watched the video and I must have chosen this carb because this is what I had available to me at the time. If I had a 34pict carb I would have used it but buying the jets was cheaper than buying a whole new carb. I ended up buying dual carbs later but this was to get me by in the mean time.
I don’t remember the name of the app. I deleted it off my phone. But just go to the App Store if you have iPhone and search level tool or degree finder
Hey, I know it’s been a long time but I just got my led lights and I noticed your vanity not working. In my case the drivers vanity lught is broken because the cable that goes from the visor to the light is broken, it dried out apparently. So yours might be the same. Good luck!
This video was helpful for me. I'm getting ready to reinstall the alternator stand and wasn't sure if I needed to place a paper gaskets below & above the metal oil deflector. I haven't seen to many other videos explaining /showing it in detail. I'm a rookie at this stuff. I appreciate your help /video. Thx 👍🏼
I thought I was going crazy trying to bleed the brakes too. I bought a pressure bleeder and that was 100% key. I did it in a couple minutes after I used it.
@@SanDiego_VDubLife I literally just bought it today and couldn't be happier. I immediately thought about some cabinet jacks I was thinking on buying but they were plastic. This is metal. It says to not load it with anything, but have a feeling they can do probably better than those plastic cabinet jacks. Thanks again! Support from NC
