2023 Finally comes to an end. Take a tour of the interior of my bus and what I plan to do to it in 2024. I also talk a little bit about my 1965 Beetle and very special package that came in the mail. I finally decided to get this missing piece of the puzzle for my bus. Super stoked on how it's gonna look.

godannm!! she's finally ready for the road. great job and i can't believe how much of a difference the whole bus looks after installing the VW badge on the front! Looks amazing.

Thanks dude. Yeah the front emblem makes the bus. Crazy how big the emblem is. I’ve put off buying it for years but finally decided to spend the money since I had got most of the mechanical done. It’s actually not mounted yet cuz the PO drilled out the holes so not it’s too loose. Not sure what I’m gonna do about that yet. The right way would be to weld them shit and re-drill them the right size.

Yeah, I've had the bug for even longer. I would say since at least 1998.

Yeah, you got lucky, it seems like that is always the first thing that goes missing on these busses when they get abandoned.

Great video. Dang your vents were really butchered. My bus needs just about everything but my vents are original and perfect

Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah it's not common for someone to cut out the vents, but the previous owner just loved chopping this bus up. He also used screws to hold down a carpet I think, so there are a ton of small holes inside the cargo area above the engine, so all the fumes from the engine come into the cabin area. I need to weld those shut one day or just put some silicone in the mean time.

Jaaa thanks. It actually has a dent from where the spare tire was and got pushed in. It has also rusted a lot behind the bumper, which is a common area for rust. I think because of the holes for the front emblem where water leaks in from and settles at the bottom and just sits there and causes corrosion.

Actually, probably a lot cheaper. You could probably find it for maybe $500 but I could be wrong, I haven't looked. There are a few companies that sell replacement panels. The best will always be German that would have to be cut off an existing bus. There are a lot of bay windows out there that have good noses so shouldn't be too hard, but the layers behind the nose are almost always rusted out and those you can use replacement panels cuz know one will ever see it.@@pstreetgarage7304

Yeah based in Canada, I think in BC, but they are called California Import Parts for some reason.
