Keep in mind that even the ubiquitous pepper used in gochugaru and gochujang is a New World vegetable. The pepper plant likely did not take in northern climes. but the chili flakes made its way up north. Instead of the sparseness of naeng myun, you should mention it's purity. People love the way it is. There is no fusion, or street food, or Western foodie slanted version of it. It may be because Northerners are nostalgic for what they had in the past.
I’m 26 trans ftm and I wanted to have kids my whole life but I was diagnosed with pcos when I was younger which didn’t really bother me because my mom has it and had two kids. But then I was diagnosed with a septum in my uterus, the day I found out mixed with my pcos diagnosis it really cemented the fact that I will probably never have kids with my dna. Like you said my god given right was taken but my opportunity to be a parent is still there. I think it’s really beautiful to nurture and love a child that didn’t come from you but becomes a part of you. Hopefully I get my uterus removed soon since it does cause me so much grief. What I also find very beautiful is our right to choose, human beings are more than just procreation we are much more complex and interesting than that. Our capacity to love is boundless.
