Hi, I’m Jackson Galaxy AKA The Cat Daddy. Welcome to my channel, the home of everything that is unbelievably amazing about your cat. I’m the host and Executive Producer of Animal Planet ‘s "My Cat From Hell." Don’t let the name fool you, though - I’m here to challenge every negative stereotype you’ve ever heard about cats - and the people who love them.
I was a working musician who took a job in a shelter, developed something I call Cat Mojo, and I’ve spent over 25 years preaching it everywhere - in houses like yours, in classrooms, on stages around the world, on TV, in the middle of the street - and right here.
I also write books! "Total Cat Mojo,” Cat Daddy,” and the New York Times Bestsellers "Catification" and “Catify to Satisfy.”

My cat sat on my laps every day when I was undergoing radiation treatment. He wouldn't leave me. He never did that before. So sweet. He doesn't do it anymore. 😢
I tried all sorts of brushes. A boar bristle brush he will tolerate, and still only for a short while. I keep it in the bathroom. Wet hands gets the most hair off him. And he KNOWS not to rub against my wet legs. 😂 And never his tummy. He's relaxing a bit in his old age, I might be able to brush him in a different room now. And I can get his tummy if he's all sorts of relaxed and half asleep.
Probably not gonna get the red wine out of my white carpet that my recently acquired feral kitty knocked over. Believe it or not I’ll keep the cat and get rid of the rug.
Hi Jackson, I need your advice. I have a beautiful cat who I adopted from a cat shelter 18 months ago when he was 2 years old. He's settled in really well and I love him to bits - and yes, he sleeps on me every night. But I have a problem: another cat (who I think is a stray, although he or she is in good shape) has been hanging around my house and trying to get inside. I feel sorry for this cat so I've been feeding him, but he's been fighting with my cat. I rang the local council and they lent me a cage to try and trap the stray cat, but he's very smart and he won't go anywhere near it! The only cat I caught in the trap was my own cat!! LOL He's not scared of it because I leave tasty food in it to try and tempt the other cat.😅 Do you have any suggestions about what I should do? Thanks so much, Cheers from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia
THIS KITTEN DOESN'T WANT ATTENTION, IT WANTS WHAT IT SMELLS COOKING IN THE OVEN! IF DAD OPENS THE OVEN THE KITTY US GOING TO JUMP INTO THE OVEN TO GET TO THE MEAT & BURN HIS PAWS ON THE GLASS & HAVE TO GO THE VET & COST DAD A LOT OF MONEY & THEN DAD WON'T BE HAPPY ABOUT HAVING A KITTY IN THE HOUSE! THIS IS EXACTLY WHY OUR CATS WERE PUT OUTSIDE OR LOCKED IN THE GARAGE WHEN MY MOM WAS COOKING! SHE'D BE "LIKE COME GET THIS/THESE CATS OR THEY'RE GOING IN THE RECIPE!"
We used to flip bottle caps for our cat. She would catch them and run all the way back to us. Sometimes she would get the caps and play fridge hockey with them. We went to move and found 59 of them under the refrigerator.
My cat is close to that 25% white but her markings are more tortishell. She also has a white undercoat. Ticked Calico with tortishell markings. Or Black smoke torbie with white? She ginger has stripes on one leg. Her face and back is definitely Tortishell. Tummy black and white patches. Place on underside of tail grey like a black smoke. I say that she is a Vangoe cat.
I have a few stray cats in my yard. They are pretty friendly and let me pet them but they don't want to go anywhere near the door. They had the habit of getting on the chairs because the were soft and comfy, until i got them a few pillows. After that they had their own seats so they didn't get on the chairs again.
After having my tree destroyed for about 8 years, I heard about this. I spent an hour crumpling up an entire box of foil to lay underneath my Christmas tree. My Siamese cat pawed at it for a couple of seconds, walked under the tree, curled up into a ball, and looked up at me like he was thanking me for getting him a new bed. Slept there until I took down the, by then, destroyed tree. 😡😂
My cat and he's not a big cat goes after possums mainly juveniles. Now our possums are not like the American possum but an introduced pest from Australia They are marsupial. I know cats do damage to native populations and we are mainly have birds as our native animals but my cats are proud hunters. So much so they bring me live mouse to encourage my hunting skills 😅
Hi! My kids and I are binging your videos and so grateful for all the help as they prepare to introduce their new 11 week old kitten (who we fostered with her littermates and mama) to their 3 year old spayed female cat who has always lived alone. We have a question that is kind of niche and wondered if you might be able to help us. My kids live part time in my house with no pets and part time with their dad who has the 3 year old, calm, not very playful cat that they've had since she was two years old. We are considering keeping the kitten at their house with me until she is older because I work from home and can also foster other kittens so she can keep having playmates until she's older and can be home alone more but we are wondering if it would be possible for the kitten to go back and forth from houses if we introduce her to the concept early while she's young and doesn't mind new environments. But we're worried it might affect their adult cat's chances of accepting her if they do your protocol for introducing cats off and on instead of consistently. They REALLY want to bring her back and forth, and I really want them to too! Do you have any advice for us?! Thank you so much if so!
