This was such a great video!! I never thought about women wearing wigs from this perspective, and that waist length could really just be short, or average at best. I have never worn a wig, and can count on one hand how many times I’ve worn extensions. I never felt comfortable with them and they never stayed longer than 3 days. I have fine strands and my density is on the lower side naturally, but has thickened greatly since I started wearing plaits over a year and a half now. But what I could never understand is why women with a head full of hair would slap on a wig…why?!? I feel like it’s just trampling their God given glory under foot. 😓 Thanks for this perspective. 💕
TELL IT LIKE IT IS SIS! I'm 100% with you. We simply need to silence the programming. I knew when I read that a woman's long hair is her glory and covering, I knew it was a myth that they probably fed black women (to cultivate that inferiority complex) more than any other race. I believe God. Hiding my hair away so that it can grow will be well worth the results.
We sweat when exercising. I see men washing their hair every day and they go to barbers to cut their hair. It depends on the hair type. At least every 2 weeks or 4 weeks we should wash our hair. My scalp itches and I use herbal cocoction spray and add oil not much because I have low porosity hair and the scalp feels better. This can work for her hair but not for everyone.
You are giving golden hair advice! Keep going…only a few may receive it and apply it, but that’s okay. Strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leadeth to life, and few there be that find it. 🌺
I believe if depends on the hair texture. My hair doesn’t get matter nor tangled from twists. I’ve done both mini braids and mini twists and honestly do prefer the braids for longevity - I can rock braids 2-4 weeks longer. The length retention is about the same for both - never noticed one is better than the other.
Thanks for the video Sisi 💖🙌🏾 wisdom as always. So I wanted to ask if you ever considered interlocking as a method to refresh your front area? Coz it's like a form of braiding (backwards braiding, they say), so the hair doesn't lock quickly like it's crotchet or even twists.. also, because you avoid washing and wetting your hair, it won't mat easily... Just asking coz it seems easier than taking down micro braids altogether just to refresh the front...
