It’s probably not the same. The demon power is likely harder to control since demons usually don’t project it out their bodies like that. Also a spirit weapon requires some kind of focus not physical not emotional it’s more like willpower or a souls conviction. Demons don’t have souls and don’t use energy in the way that a human would because spirit energy could take almost any form. A former human would potentially have it EASY because whatever remaining spirit energy from having had a spirit would make em capable of casually busting out a spirit energy weapon and giving it a shap. Also Kuwabara doesn’t have like the highest amount of spiritual energy, but he actually has like really refined spirit energy even before his spirit sword becomes a dimension sword because he’s a descendent of psychics.
This has got to be Top 3, Probably #1, worst fates you could possibly experience. Not a single grandios fight as the time loop, no immortality in a silent void, no over the top repeating torture from a higher dimensional abstract, not even experiencing every possible death in an infinite multiverse, (even outside of time loops, worse than some of that insane Mindbreak stories you hear about), THIS. The same "mundane" life (even with the fantastical heroes and villain-heroes war playing out) where no matter what action is taken nor how you end (and how far) it sends you back to the beginning, not even having "save points" either it's literally the same starting point and manual actions needing to be taken to make any "progress" in numerous plans that don't even work (till the final one of course), And knowing it was a choice You made that also locks everyone else in a stagnant unaware life that can never progress past a certain point (being the holder's comparatively fleetingly short life in the grander scheme of things of around 50 years)... AND. EVEN. AFTER. ALL. THIS. In the final time where a way out is found, you know the grander system that lead to all this is still in play (the whole demon king and hero multdimensional calling thing) and while Probably nothing could end up worse than what you did to reach your end there's no guarantee someone else won't choose the same power you did eventually... Someone who probably isn't as **Omni-Ultima-Giga Sound of Mind And Conviction** as you, just wanted to add this bit at the end this character is probably the strongest willed motherf'er in fiction to face all this and 1: not just be a brain dead husk by return 400 (which I mean he Did for a time with the whole cardiac arrest bit, but he came out of it eventually on some Professor Paradox Energy going Insane, then getting bored of that and going Sane again) then 2: make sure there is a way to "unplug" your "way out button" so that the people you still actually see as people can live a life past your's.

I'm certainly open to having extra writers, but as a writer myself, I'd probably be a lot more critical of the presented work just because I'd want to make sure it's quality. Bringing on writers would also ease the workload but would unfortunately have to wait until I have more of a budget to work with.

I BOUGHT THE 30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF YU YU HAKUSHO AND WORSHIP IT Edit: so I recently researched Yu Yu Hakusho and they honestly foreshadow this ranking system in the dark tournament!! Togura tells Yusuke he grew too powerful to pass to the demon world foreshadowing the barrier and power rankings.
YYH is one of my favourite anime and manga ever, and having watched/read it multiple times, both as a teen and as an adult, I gotta say the final arc and ending is still one of the better ones in shonen manga history, far from the atrocious disappointment the internet has popularized. I think its mostly due to Togashi never betraying his characters and giving them and the world he created a satisfying and earned conclusion (them finally finding their true selves and purpose for the future/a new era of coexistence between human and demonkind) even if he had to rush and twist the plot in somewhat controversial ways to reach it. I dont have that big of a problem with the anticlimatic tournament taking over the 3 Kings war and the power creep because I see them as part of the point Togashi was trying to make: the world is ultimately still bigger than Yusukes and co life or death struggles, but that doesnt mean they cant make it better through constantly opening up to new possibilities and searching for truth instead of just punching some big bad in the face.
One thing I don't get is when he started to try to make a demon lord why didn't he tell the other warriors about his situation before the warrior rampage began than it would be easier to make a demon lord?

Oh lordy I hated the show. I gave the first season a full chance. The plot by itself is REALLY INTERESTING, but the constant crying is so insane. Mikey explains why his scooter is the best, and the tears start flowing "MIKEYYYYY!!!!" Dear god. It's a fucking scooter. He's not a freaking god, he's a teenager with an opinion. Holy shit, seriously.
Honestly as messy as this arc is, one thing about it I absolutely adore is Yomi as a villain. He is easily the second most well written villain the series other than Toguro, and personally my fav. He just has so much presence, charisma, and wit. While also remaining constantly cool and collected. His motives are also very understandable and to the point and rather nuanced, unlike Shinsui whose motivations I felt were kinda cluttered. Plus the way that Yomi behaves, aka genuinely having a sense of respect, even for those who stand against him, shows that he is truly a pretty morally grey antagonist. Especially if u consider the fact that what he wants is legit probably, at least what he thinks is genuinely best for his ppl. Making his motives come from a sense of utilitarianism, and not spite. I just wish we coulda saw more of his character being displayed and had time to see him even more, and delved into his past with Kurama more even if that already was handled decently well in the Three Kings Arc.
Personally this is the chapter that shown me how many other IPs are just branches off YYH's tree. Like JJK is just a more modern version and Bleach before that. Overall taking a lot of themes and powersets then expanding on them.
The money I’d GIVE for the original English dub actors to act in this movie and for the localizers to fix the script. The animation is SOOOO dang pretty. 🤩 Too bad everything else about it, is pretty bad💀😭
I did not expect to get teary eyed with this video. Had a friend of 20 years. We were so close people thought we were a couple. We practically made our own language, and somehow just KNEW when the other was nearby but out of sight. Things didnt just fall apart, they burned. I havent seen him in 15 years, and theres a lot of anger even now, but i miss him every day.
I watch most anime in Sub but I'm starting to open up to Dubs more often as of recent. Their quality has improved alot in recent years. Another positive for Dubs (when done well) is that it better captures dialect differences. If I'm watching an anime that's set in a different region, or has characters from different countries, the dub makes their accent more distinguished and identifable. For example, even though both speak English, the dub will allow you to better appreciate if a character is from America vs England just by their accent.

The key takeaways from Yu Yu Hakusho were mainly camaraderie, and knowing that you matter to people even when it feels like you don’t . I grew up with Yu Yu Hakusho, and having distant parents along with having only a small friend group. This show along with Tales of Symphonia and eventually Persona 4 shaped how I view a lot of things. Maintain your core group of friends who stick with you through thick and thin. that you are special even if you have some bad aspects to yourself. And that just being alive has value.

Kurama - a grass / poison type trainer - the guy summons deadly plants. Kuwabara - a psychic / ghost type trainer due to his high spiritual awareness and precognition abilities to predict future events Hiei - Dark/ Fire/ Ice Type Trainer due to being an ice and fire demon hybrid and his practice of dark demon arts. Yusuke - ghost/ dark type trainer since he can detect ghost and possess demon (dark) energy due to his ancestry. Since Yusuke's essentially a brawler and not a martial artist, I didn't categorize him as a fighting type trainer. Genkai - a ghost / fighting type trainer - she's a martial artist and can detect and see ghost.
hiei comes from ice apparitions but he is not one himself and doesn’t have any ice abilities. hiei is fire / dragon yusuke is fighting becuase spirit gun = Aura Sphere. so fighting / dark (mazoku)
