We are Bill, Deb and Deliliah. We are both in our early 70s. Our mission for our videos is to show people that full-time living in an RV or Tiny House on wheels is possible. Our cargo trailer conversion (tiny house) resembles a luxury apartment on wheels. We have actually converted 2 cargo trailers, once on a 7 x 16 then our current one 8 x 20. We meet and interview (walk thru videos) lots of other people in cargo conversion, vans, school buses and RVs, that they have converted or updated to make life easier for them. We show how we handle campground reservations, handling fresh and grey water, our solar experiences, breakdowns, required maintenance on our trailer and tow vehicle. We do campground reviews to share the location and beauty of each one. We try and stay mostly at COE campgrounds, this way we get to take advantage of our America the Beautiful Senior Pass. We honestly believe that this lifestyle will lengthen our lives and has definitely improved our quality of life.
Thank you for your time to reply to my comment. Yes, I'm an animal / dog lover. I was concerned for your dogs' sleeping space, as I am Ozzy & know their sizes & their litte boxes did seem too small.
Hi Jane, our Aussies are MINIS and our kennels were chosen for the height and size of the largest of the three. Our trailer was pretty much built for us and our needs including our pups needs. 😊
That’s a great rig. A bit too small for me but it’s awesome. Make sure both of you can tow your rig. You’d be surprised how many spouses can’t. If for whatever reason there was an emergency both have to be able to tow your rig. I have a personal friend that can’t hook her rig up and drive it. Her bf left so now she’s stranded. Won’t learn and won’t sell. It’s sad. Enjoy you wonderful trailer.
Those who can do are critiqued by those who can't. I'll take my cargo trailer conversion into places a factory RV can only dream of. I'm 69 yrs old (young) and couldn't care less about what 'they' think.
Aaron, nicely done. Bet you're glad for the extra ceiling height. Bill, maybe you could get into the solar a little bit for those who are interested. Love your channel.
Hence the reason we vented it outside. At the front of our trailer you can see the vent. We also have a carbon monoxide detector set at the proper level and distance.
These are their kennels that we use in our house. Plus, they love their kennels and blankies. Did you see the size of our pups? They are comfortable. Also, they are outside with us during the day and most of the evening. Thanks for being a concerned animal lover. ❤🐶❤
Nice build! Currently building out a 6×12 with a ramp door. Can you please share what you are using to hold the ramp level? It kind of looks like scissor jacks. Are they mounted to the ramp? Thank you! 😊
They are scissor jacks with a very wide round plate at the top. We have two sets. They seem to be working perfectly. Our trailer also came with the telescoping fold up jacks at the rear. 😊
Just found your channel! Sounds like you're in my neck of the world, I'm in South central Oklahoma (Ardmore) and have a cargo trailer conversion I love but always looking for improvement ideas. Look forward to watching many more of your videos!
This is not only Beautiful, but functional as well! I love that it has a full bath and kitchen, nice closet and storage under bed, SO CUTE! That green is Perfect, plus it's roomy and comfy too! Would they consider building and selling, same set up, for folk like me without a clue?
Price? Round figures? I want something like this to live in until i can pay cash for a handicap adapted home. It’s just me, a service dog and a blind Siamese. Alabama unrestricted lake property. 🎉 Would $25,000 be enough to begin this project? I drive a 15 passenger Chevy Express van. Can this haul a trailer?
I love the bed idea! @In_search_of_a_simpler_life Do you have a link for the bed? Also, does the mattress come with it? Or did you buy a queen mattress and cut it to fit??
Were having our heat wave this week in the San Francisco east bay area. Was 109 today . It's going to be 107 tomorrow. 100 degree weather til next Tuesday. HELP!!!!
Bill, have you thought about adding a couple of PC computer fans at the back side of your battery box? Your batteries and the van needs a set of cooling fans to help control the inside heat during spring, summer, and fall..
Thank you Bill and Deb. Glad to see you both healthy and with another project well thought out as you begin the implementation. ML to you both and to your viewers.
The racks on the van are inexpensive ladder racks from Amazon. About $65 per set. I used automotive muffler clamps to mount the panel mounts to the rack. Inexpensive and simple setup. The panels have been up there for about 2 years now and traveled at least 20,000 miles.
I purchased 8.5 x 16 x 7.3 a couple of months ago, I have watched a lot of your videos and have started on my build. I'm in the process of sealing, insulating and adding my ac wiring, I have also gone with the 12-gauge wire. Is there a certain process that I should go with. Thanks in Advance
Like# 908 - I wasn't able to get an extended tongue from the factory so I hired a welder to do the extension. I think I paid $100 and that was the best $100 I've spent yet. I'm going back to have him make it removable for another layer of security against theft! Love this Build, definitely one of my top 10 favorite builds!
