Our wearable cycle locks are 'Designed for Riding - Built for Security'
We love riding bikes. In fact, we love our bikes... and like everything you love in life, you want to keep it safe.
Keeping our bicycles safe without disrupting the enjoyment of riding is what drives us. Creating innovative, unique products that address and solve problems is a challenge that we set ourselves constantly, and something we are very proud of.
We use our wearable bike locks everyday, and stand by their quality, design and security. All of our research and development is done in house by a small, passionate team. This allows us to test and evaluate every detail ourselves, and gives us the freedom to dream of new ways to innovate. This attention to detail and design has shown itself in the multiple awards and test victories our products have received so far...
We hope you enjoy using your Hiplok as much we do, thanks for the support.
I purchased my Commensal Meta HT Am essential because I was fat and when I was a child I have found memories of riding all day not just for transportation but for the adventure. Now that I’m in my late 50’s I’ve slimmed down from 230lbs to 180 lbs and I enjoy my life more and more every day
Nice bike-i have a titanium bike to and the same lock which has never let me down, because the lock is designed to tilt to fit over a belt I find it rattles a fair bit though in the mount. I have tried everything to get rid of this rattle but as I always pair this DX lock with the chain you wear I often slot it in there somehow haha! :-D
I live in Saudi Arabia. I don't need insurance and I don't have to worry about someone stealing my ebike, because then he could lose his hands. People know that and that's why no one steals. What a relief.
"DX1000 currently has the best resistance to diamond disc attacks" according to security expert John Milbank who has independently tested DX1000 alongside a range of other locks. Johns test can be found here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JVqNCv_p7Ug.htmlsi=-CdL4tmXcPi73PRa&t=1218
@@HiplokBikeLocks Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Yea, I was thinking about it, they didn't have any at Urban Rider which is where I usually buy my motorcycle gear. Oh well, I guess I have to buy it elsewhere :D
@@fiucik1 Hi There, Urban Rider do stock the DX1000 and should be receiving stock on a regular basis it may be worth giving them a ring and asking when they will next have stock. DX1000 is also available directly from our website hiplok.com/product/hiplok-dx1000/ we also now have a free returns policy so if for any reason the lock isn't right you can send it back to us.
@@HiplokBikeLocks Again thanks for the reply. Well, if Urban Rider don't have, they don't have it(now). I can't really wait, I'll check my at local motorcycle shop tomorrow, and if they don't have it, I'll order it from you. Cheers
Why can't they just say how much things cost ffs. I believe that you believe in the product but we're not gonna know unless we try it so just cut the crap people please
The video if about the 1000 Series, i.e. a group of products. It's meant to drive traffic to the website. If you wanted to try one or more of the products out, you would go the website and all the prices are clearly marked there..
@@skoomskaa we all know that mate you either accept it or complain and try and change it. Sheeple basically. People shouldn't be lured away it's annoying and weird
Anyway, usually, the steel pipes that you lock your bike to can be cut....... you guys can't replace every single Steel structure known to humanity........
My code has recently changed on its own. Been using the lock for the better part of a year. No issues. Then suddenly one of the digits is different. Took me 30 minutes to figure out the new code. What gives??
I was bikepacking last week and had the same thing. I didn't change from the default 0-0-0 but (having debugged once home) it's now 8-0-0. I had to brute force it off which worked (thankfully) but had damaged the plastic . Only used it three times too :/
They sell chains and pad locks too I think. That will have to do even if not as grinder resistant. I f you can't fit one of the grinder resistant U or D locks out there, there are a few, then a hardened square or polygonal security chain and a big secure padlock will have to suffice. Security chain not regular chain and a padlock you research not just any old one...Videos more aimed at scooter and motorcycle owners would be more appropriate to watch for you...
Often these devices come with a way of disabling it from being removed, such as using ball bearings and a hammer to round off the hex bolts, or ways of rounding off the bolt heads.
I even use the chain for my motorcycle. It would be good if hiplock did something sold secure diamond or the higher rating for motorcycles with maybe a water proof motion 😅siren or something
You can check out the full motorcycle range here. hiplok.com/product-category/motorcycle-locks/ We have the 1000 series and the mega chain which are diamond sold secure for motorcycle
@@HiplokBikeLocks cheers they look amazing. A lot of the food delivery guys could probably do with a presentation from hpllock over physical locks-the police would most likely say the same thing. I have been using hiplock for 10 years and done thousands of deliveries and they have done amazing. It may be great to see the German standards that exceed the sold secure gold I know at least possibly as criminals quickly moved and move with the times
Good professionalism. I took some pointers here. Reading is my local store 🏬 I guess you have more awesome essential products us bikers need. Keep up the innovation some people are in desperate need of a bit of common sense that is backed up by your amazing products.
Go ahead waist 100 bucks plus the DAM LOCK body IS MADE OUT OF PLASTIC . CAN WE SAY FIRE AND 2 min latter it's open ! Every druggy has a torch that can beat this lock . SHAME ON YOU FOR MAKING A LOCK THAT THIS BAD!

Lock picking is not a common way thieves are stealing bikes it requires a high level of skill compared to more traditional methods. Our locks are tested by various external testers such as the Master Locksmiths Association and the French champion lock picker with the results in Le Monde. We pride our selves on the quality of our key barrels. We did send a D1000 to the Lock Picking Lawyer over a year ago and have also been in contact with McNally and have not heard back from either.
This video is to prove that the new system replaces the chain, and is no longer the weakest link in the system. There are separate videos showing that the D1000 also burns through grinding wheels and is hard as hell to cut through. The test is valid. You just need more context.
@@dx-xb what do you not get? They're testing their new product and proving that it is no longer the weak part of the system. There are separate testing videos on the D lock.
@@Hekilikaua you said the chain is no longer the weak point, there is no chain . The chain was replaced by the D lock. So why not cut that... i know why cause the "ground achor " part is thicker. Thats why.
