The main problem with these damn sklights seems to be that the plastic (my MPK is polypropylene) is resistant to bonding to sealant! Scandalous for the price. I'm going to spray mine with plastic primer first.

I have owned many Haines manuals over the last forty years, mainly because they have the monopoly, but the best by far is Johns caravan manual, brilliant guy and gentlemen.

It was actually a good quality model. For a budget price and size. There are many old caravans that's sucks. Abbey is well built.

If the flue is blocked would it cause a strong fume smell when running on gas

I put a new mixer tap in bathroom in my caravan the hot water is spot on but the cold doesn't work in will work if I open the cold tap in the kitchen can you help me?

To replace the thermocouple to the burner? Would I need to remove the fridge fully? Or just get it so far out to hook the new coupling up?

I looked up on Google on congestion charge which I thought was all of London... Google said it would be free from 10pm until 7am so I travel within this time... I went in 12 minutes before 12.00, and came out the next day 00.27... I was picking my friend up that was isolating for 10 days that came back from holiday with his family... I have been charged £1,000 per day... Do you have any suggestions for me dealing with this crazy situation please... I have written to the address I was given on the penalty notice in Darlington 2 times and had no reply... I have not been able to sleep, please can you help, I would be very grateful...

I own a 2000 model, got it for 2 grand, its an L shape lounge, it has a few issues, but she is a old girl, a real trooper, saying it was parked since until 2001 😅

Ace. The 12v red switch had become reluctant to turn on. I tried pulling the panel out, 2 screws, but didn't want to move. I've read people have prised the switch out, but then found wires too short. My fridge has the 4 securing screws on the inside covered with white plastic buttons. I had taken those out and tried pulling but it didn't want to move. Watched your vid and decided to give it another go and on closer inspection I saw the side edges of mine had been clear siliconed! No wonder it wouldn't move. Cut the silicon with a Stanley blade and tried pulling again and it shifted. Bit of switch cleaner on all switches and spray 3 in 1 on the thermostat and gas switch which had got stiff and all is great now. 30 mins max job time. Thanks.

Great video , I've got a dometic RM7291L, my problem is that when using hook up, the fridge green light will illuminate for the 240, and will start to cool, after a few hours the green 240 light will go dim but still slightly lit and fridge will stop cooling, if left like that for a few hours, the fridge will start working again, green light will be full lit and start cooling again, this cycle keeps happening, 12v won't work when towing, tried gas the orange light just keeps flashing, please help its our new van , thanks
