Welcome to One More Guitar! I started this channel to share my music experience with guitar players and anyone who wants to learn more about guitar. This channel will mainly focus on lessons, tips, tone, upgrades, and reviews.
I brought this exact epiphone yesterday used for £500 not a mark on it and with the case. It sounds amazing. Absolutely no issues with it at all and well worth the money for how close it compares to the real deal.
Cool review. It's incorrect that rt handed only have a bigsby, they have hardtails too. The bigsby guitars have filtertron pickups and the hard tails have a hotter broadtron pickups.
Thank you for the review! I have gotten better to think about buying an Epi 59 but not good enough to buy a Gibson, and your video convinced that Epi is a great choice for now as I have also played one at tge local GC. But one day, as you said it: "God intended for me to play a Gibby" 🙂
I have a Marshall DSL 40, I changed the main tubes with some new Tung-Sol EL34 Tubes. The highest I could get them to bias was around 24. Did I get some bad tubes? I bought them off Amazon.
Kyle, I respectfully have to ask you what was used to capture your amp here. There is something wrong. It sounds like playing an amp head through headphones. Was your mic dead center? What mic was this? Was this into a capture box of some sort? Listening on quality monitors reveals almost no signal under 250hz. And a large shelf at 2k and up. These amps do not have this character. I love your content. And I do hope you understand that I am not bashing you or your playing. I record these types of amps often, have a few and frequently work with similar amps and I have never found a tone like this out of one of them. Would love to discuss this further as I learn when I find these types of videos. Thank you again.
Maybe the 335 is played by more musicians because it is more versatile, in my case and it is only for home, I want to try to make my guitar sound like the classic T Bone Walker style blues, that authentic and older sound is what I would like to hear from there choose the Casino!!! Maybe I screwed up but the sound takes me more to that place that I think I'm looking for.
Just today I bought a Casino from 2023, vintage stunburst, with the P90 Pro.... I really want to have it at home!!! Thanks for the information friend 💪💪
I first got an Inspired Dot in natural but it did nothing for me.. took it back and got a Matt green Casino and I love it.. so much so I now want more Casinos!! But.. I still want a 335 and I have a Raspberry burst in my cart waiting for me to be drunk and wreakless 🤣
@toneyharley5230 hey not everyone is a freakin luthier, get over it. It’s an affinity, most people are just scratching the surface on doing their own setups… great video, perfect for those learning…
This has been an enlightening video. Thank you. It has helped me even though my 335 is a little different...it is actually an Epiphone BB King Lucille. I just got my Casino last Friday and was absolutely astounded when I compared them. What a tonal palette I have been blessed with. Anyway, very good video.
What ive always loved about Gibson and Fender is that THEY are the real deal. They’re tone it’s absolutely amazing put up against any posers, bottom line.
I think the master vol controls the pre-amp and the the other vol controls the EQ side if I remember correctly. I installed a pair of EL84 Electo-Harmonix tubes in mine to soften it a bit and waiting for the Fromel Supreme kit to mod it for a better overall tone and correct the bias.
What I heard was a very reasonable and empathetic John who recognized the problem and even admitted he was just as guilty, while Paul was not quite ready to admit his part in the whole thing and did not want to believe the situation was as bad as it was.
Thanks for this, l;oved your review so much, i went out and bought my 2nd Epiphone Casino, have the Natural already, so of course i got myself a Olive Green Worn! PS, on both they had black dirt all over the fret board lol! The ring is from the cheap Tailgate used. There hollow, plus a little short. It causes a rattling. I replaced mine with an ABS one. It pulls the guitar in correct.
It’s a Blues Jr. its strengths are to play blues tones. You know a bit dirty. In my opinion the pristine clean tones of this amp sound like shit. Just get a good dirty tone and roll back your guitar’s volume knob for a cleaner sound.
I would have to say, to really see the quality and how the send their guitars out from the factory, I would say you should have purchased this guitar from Walmart or other retail outlet that won't tend to clean it up and adjust out the not so good parts to give it a good review
While John was receptive to Paul and actually understood Paul’s intentions, he sort of called Paul out at the same time. It’s as if John was issuing a warning to Paul that he is taking on too much with direction. It didn’t help that George had past frustrations with Paul but by this point in time, George was fed up (he was not afraid to go solo and do his own thing). John seemed to indicate, although very subtlety, his emotional disinvestment with the band (despite the fact that he was used to working with Paul this way). To me, this conversation foreshadowed the inevitable breakup of the Beatles. I believe Paul meant well and was trying to keep the band productive and professional. Paul wanted the band to achieve more. Timing was not on his side.
