Hi, my name is Samantha Diaz, I'm almost 47 years young and due to a lack of information, advice and support, I have decided to share my menopause experience with you. My aim is to produce diary and share my own experience of finding my way through this new 'change' in my life. Having been extremely ill for around 3 years, peri pausal for around 6 years, and having no idea of what it was or could possibly be, it totally blindsided me in every way. If I can help one woman with my dulcit Simpson tones, then this will be a success. Cheers to us strong women!

May you find healing. I am in the same situation with anxiety. I prefer being out of the house than at home as I feel much better. I don't know if this is part of menopause, but I have suddenly got a sense of fear as well , like I fear going to shower. Maybe it is fear of having an anxiety attack whilst showering. Honestly , we as women are definitely warriors because we have to deal with body. changes throughout our lives, and it is not always understood well. I do the essential oils in a diffuser , I do the deep breathing techniques, I have the turmeric ginger milk before bed and that has helped. Insomnia has been whack. Sleep like 2 hrs, get up, and then fall off to sleep again after an hour or so for just 3 hrs.

Do you cry everyday? I had a complete hysterectomy I have been feeling so bad: I’m 46 years old, I was fiooding pads bleeding on to my bed everything very emotional cramping pains were so painful. V very tired all the time. As I’m writing this in tears telling you how blessed you are to have a husband. No one understands. You know what’s do strange in one of your videos you mentioned all you can eat is oats. I do the exact same thing I do strongly have high anxiety and depression. I have anxiety everyday and I cry everyday it’s debilitating. God Bless You.

Hi, my other half watches all of your updates as she’s going through the menopause. I’ve just been watching this one with her. I can’t relate to the menopause but I can relate to the anxiety. I have suffered with anxiety for years but I’m sooooo much better now. Going to the cinema was a real ordeal for me at one stage of my life but it wouldn’t be anymore. Just remember… at any point you are free to get up out of your seat and go outside for some fresh air and you are NOT trapped in there! I find meditation really helpful and I would recommend reading “the power of now” by eckhart Tolle x

Thank you so much for reaching out. And your words are very wise, anxiety has a funny way of imposing your mind, and I'm slowly realising the only way to deal with it, is to force myself do the things I'm terrified of, to relieve the fear. I'm going away to stay with friends for a week, I've downloaded the book on my Kindle, I'm praying I have a clear enough mind to read 🙏. And I want to also say thank you for supporting your wife through this journey, so many women write to me to say their husbands are not supportive and don't understand, so this is very refreshing ❤️. Take care of you both, and we will definitely get through this 💪🙏🥰 Xx

I understand all of this you talk about. I wonder if your estradiol is too low?? What are your numbers under 70? They should be over 100 - I understand it’s best at around 200 if you can tolerate it. Hope you /we all get better ❤️‍🩹

I so relate to everything you’ve said, I had to give up work 2 years ago because my palpitations have given me awful panic attacks and anxiety. I haven’t driven since as I’m terrified of having a panic attack whilst driving or out of the house. I didn’t have a period for seven months last year....guess who decided to visit me for Christmas....it looks like they are back with a vengeance. I just want to feel “ normal again”. 😩ps I’m forever putting things in the wrong place and either can’t remember a word or say a totally wrong one! 😆. Love your videos x

Hi Taryn, thank you so much for your kind words, it makes me keep doing this vlog. It's honestly heart breaking to hear your menopause journey too, so many of us suffer so terribly and feel so lost. What a Christmas present!! Lordy, after 7 months you would've expected it to be completely finished. I hope it's not another few months of hell for you. This journey seems never ending. Please take care of yourself Xx

greetings! TY for sharing your struggles w/ this crap. I am really going thru a hard time w/ these heart flutters/skips/hard beats etc. I've had them off and on once in awhile my whole life... usually period related, but now it's been almost 2 mo non stop where they are every day. I know it's hormones but doc is putting a heart monitor on me for 2 wks just to be sure. I'm 51 and still have regular periods... but I think my hormones are just way off. perimenopause I guess? I asked my doc for HRT for the heart issues and she said she doesn't like to put women on it... too many risks she says. I'm getting a 2nd opinion bcus i feel being anxiety and heart flutter free is worth any risk. sending u lots of love... thank you again for your vlogs.

Luv ur blogs . I seem to be getting poorly , blood tests keep showing up high blood count . Had to get private tests . Now I am low in folate . Even did tyroid test privately . My normal gps gave me yet another fsh hormone test and it’s 37.2 and says on test (borderline ) can’t get to see gp , always no appointments . Anxiety ramped up , now getting stiff painful neck and weird dizzy head and eyes . No period for 7 wks . And so fatigue . So many issues . X

Also I am getting weird off balance feelings like my eyes feels dizzy and when I am walking I feel I am falling forward . I used to luv getting out and about and chatting but now I rush to shop and back . Is all this peri ? Still having periods but weird ones . Been brown for around a week and before that periods every other week or two weeks . I have also developed health anxiety which is disabling I feel no joy in life and like you I just wanna stay at home . Thinking do I need anti depressants?

I'm going through menopause ,and I suffering from depression and anxiety too. I definitely agree you get more anxiety with it. Hot flushes are a nightmare . It's not spoken about enough. Everything you say is true and my heart goes out to you . I've spent the last 6 months in bed because I'm so anxious and worn out from it . Too scared to go outside . Just started HRT ,see if that helps . Happy to speak to you

I'm lying here in bed freezing for no reason and feeling spaced out from anxiety due to starting a new job this week and am seriously doubting whether I am going to be able to cope with this again being so worn down by it all. I feel so decrepit with my neck cracking and twisting into a widows hump, my vision blurring and my weight being almost out of control. I don't have a cycle anymore due to having a coil fitted against my better judgement but had no alternative because of the NHS giving up on trying to treat menopausal women. I thought I had worked it out and had it beaten by lowering my cortisol, but 3 days back in work and I feel like I've gone back to square one or straight to jail on the monopoly board. So Sick of this rubbish existence. Thanks for this vid, don't feel quite such a leper after hearing your thoughts. We need to support each other as we are more numerous than we realise. 😩

(the list goes on!) has had an awful effect on my life.
