Although water fasting is relatively straight forward human anatomy is not and so water fasting will vary significantly from person to person. Also is that it may not be advisable for persons with certain health conditions. I have successfully undertaken water only fasts of 20 to 48 days in recent years and would recommend the following books that need to be carefully studied for anyone interested in this. Principles of Fasting by Leon Chaitow. Published in 1999. and Water Fasting by Elizabeth Moore. Published in 2019. These are available from Amazon. There are people who have been carnivore for 15 plus years .. They should do a study on then I think you’ll would be very surprised how healthy they are.. Maybe not a cure all for everyone But … We have been 2 years and completely life changing in an amazing way And carnivores don’t just eat meat.. But you can sure tell the difference in your body when you eat ruminant compared to not.. digestion is way better .. I met a lady who was vegan / vegetarian her whole life and just went carnivore a year ago and it saved her life..
So basically.. the rate of normal fat burning process is too slow for water fasting state the body said "fuck it, lets gobble up the entire fat cell instead"

You may as well just say “well, I think that…” - it’s just as scientific as assuming that the math would support your conclusion … if you bothered to do it.
I don't get his point. Saying collagen is useless because it's low on Leucine is like saying it's useless because it's low on *[insert any protein or vitamin]* . Is it it's job to be high on that? What if we pair it with something that *is* high on Leucine?
I think you are forgetting one factor: the level of inflammation. I heard that fat and cholesterol get dangerous when the veins are inflamed. Usually this inflammation comes from processed foods (as natural carbs in a healthy diet does not give much blood glucose spike). So low-carb in a healty diet (like whole food plant based diet, or Mediterranean diet) is expected to be heatlhy.
I wanted to do just a 3 days water fast but now I am on the fifth day. I decided to go for a week...and who knows maybe I will extend it for another week or more :) Good luck to all people trying to be healthier.

I don't know how much the followers of the keto diet try to disprove that the weight loss is the same on a diet high in carbohydrates for the same amount of calories, but I know that they claim that the roller coaster of glucose in their blood and thus their body energy is a problem. They claim that it's impossible not to eat too many calories because when you eat carbohydrates you can't stop eating so you take in too many calories. Whereas on carnivore or keto, you don't have that problem because hunger control is easy.
Why is a spike in hormones a problem? You see it with every other type of hormone that is secreted. Cortisone spike in the morning, adrenaline spike when aroused. Hormone levels increase rapidly then go back to baseline. Perfectly normal
