Travelling The World As A New Flight Attendant for a Major US Airline. Follow me as I share my experiences, thoughts and sights on what it is to be making a living seeing the world! See you out there!
The older you get the harder the job. I was flying for about 10 yrs and in the last 2 or 3 years i didnt sleep either. It was a nightmare. My best decision in life to quit in 2000 and never walked into an airplane. But each human is special..have a good time..from FRANKFURT. K.
I'm doing well today. How about yourself? A lot of us end up staying because of the flight benefits its really what makes up for the pay. It always amazes me when I meet coworkers that have never used their flight benefits. That was my brother in law. He worked @DaddyD since 1973 for over 50+ years and never got on a plane. But my mother in law used them all the time. Day trips are the best!I know what you mean about meeting someone new. In my base we have over 7500. Sad that sometimes you may never see them again. great content
Thank you for another great video! Only 101 away from 1k 🎉 (I swear I'm feeling like your #1 fan 😂) My biggest struggle is gonna be the food situation, the time changes and the lack of sleep, I value sleep as it's so important for the body to recover. Question, is it only the lead FA who gets to cover the flight deck when they need to step out? Or would it be any FA? That's pretty cool to catch a view like that!!! ❤ safe travels my friend ✈️
Thanks so much!! It is a whole new world for sure. But a pretty awesome new skill that I’m attempting. Stay tuned and I’ll let you know how things are going. Thanks for the comment. 😃
Hi there. Thank you so much for the comment. And thanks for watching and subscribing. The best place to reach out is DM me on IG @valenciaflyer. Have a wonderful day. 😁
Hi i just recently subscribed to your channel and i interested in asking you a few questions on applying to different airlines what is the best way to get in touch with you thanks
Hi there. Thanks for watching and subscribing! You can reach me through the instagram messaging. My IG is also ValenciaFlyer. I wish you all the best. Thanks again! 👍
Hey there, Justin. Great to hear from you. Yes, the job has been very good to me and exciting. Still much to learn in the coming years. The increase in pay is going to be very helpful with rising costs of living. But overall, it has been very rewarding. Have a wonderful evening. Talk soon.😃
What a wonderful airline that you work for.. I got the job in Feb this year in well knowing airline in the middle east as i am a citizen there but they pay us 4$ per hour for flying or for out of base 🥲💔 and a 6$ for any hour over 100hr a month and we dont get a boarding pay at all my maximum monthly salary reaches 3180$.. that if i worked my ass up to reach it. Its sad for all of the crew in my airline and it’s spreading negative vibes and gossiping and make the job so hard.. the unfortunate thing is that its a governmental airline company and they dont know how to make profit same as the other airlines next to us l.. we did bot get bounce pay and will not get it any time soon 😂💔💔
Wow. That is a massive difference in Pay and philosophy. I hope that things get better for you in your career. Thank you so much for sharing that. I had no idea there was such a difference between airlines around the world. Have a wonderful evening. Thanks again for sharing.😄
Something tells me 🎉it will be a noticeable difference when you get your anniversary pay jump in July 🎉 because you got a raise on June 1st. So you will see quite a few dollars bump on hourly and boarding🎉...my anniversary is in July also....I'm contemplating now how I want to bid 😢 for that month... happy flying 😄
Hey there,Cherie. Thanks so much for the comment. Hope you’re doing well. Yes, I expect that. I will see some sort of a difference in year two. Year one has been very cool. I’m actually going to lift this week so I will be able to see all of my classmates one last time. Have a wonderful evening. Talk soon.😁
I agree. Some trips do pay pretty well. Overall, I’m very lucky and grateful to have this job. I try to share my experience and knowledge as best as I can with others. Thank you for the comment and for watching. Have a great day.😁
You know, for all the information contained in this video I think it went pretty quickly! RU-vid has this cool button feature where you can play the video faster if that helps you! Lol 😜
That’s wonderful news. I wish you all the very best. I’m sure you’re going to do amazingly in the interview. Thanks so much for the comment. Let us know how it goes. 😄
Very detailed and well put together to understand how pay works! Thanks for that! Is your airline going to be hiring this year? I’m assuming you work for 1 of the big 3 that might not have a union if I’m correct? Let me know. Thanks so much for this video it was exciting to hear! Take care!
Hi there, Aimee. Hope you’re doing well. Yes, you are correct on the airline that I work for. The rumor is that they may be hiring once again in the fall. I’ll let you know once I know. Thanks so much for your comment, I hope that the info was helpful. Have a great evening. 😀
I'm hoping you can get to 1k subscribers before the end of this month!!! ⭐ Great video and thank you so much for taking the time to break all of it down! ❤⭐❤⭐❤ Also noticed the new intro footage, nice! Of course I have questions 😎 When you deadhead, are you in Uniform and if you are in a regular seat, not a jump seat, are you allowed to close/rest your eyes? As for the HI and AK, it's my guess that when flying over the ocean, that's considered international waters? Such a helpful video! One of the absolute best ones. I expect nothing less of you 😉 Keep up the great work!! ✈️
Hey there, Michelle, thanks so much for the comment. As far as deadheading, yes, we are allowed to rest which is nice. Yes, we are in uniform. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. This one did take quite a while to edit with all the information that I wanted to convey. We will cross our fingers for the 1K within a few months. Have a wonderful evening. Talk soon. 😄
Hey there Anna. That’s awesome that you’re going to Zürich in August. I’m sure it’s an amazing time to go. So much to see, I’m sure you’re going to love it. Try their hot chocolate and strudel. Have a wonderful night.😁
It is a pretty easy, peaceful feeling. Very low-key and relaxed out there. I’m sure they have their issues as well. But none of them are subway notorious. Thanks for the comment. Take care.😊
Hey there Cherie. Thanks so much. I was happy that Zurich got to be my first TO. I was super excited to be there. It was a place I’d always wanted to go. Hope you’re doing well. Thanks so much for the comment. Have a great day. 😀
Thanks so much Vanessa. So here’s the thing. Our layover is typically 24 hours. But once you take into account the time change, jet lag, sleep time that you need for your next day and also getting ready to go back home… You typically end with about 6 to 10 hours of Exploring time. And as you can imagine that is not a lot of time to take advantage of such a beautiful city. But we make the most of it and see as much as we can. It is a place that I want to return to, and dive deeper into. Thanks so much for the comment, watching and subscribing. Have a wonderful day. 😁
Hello there, hope you’re doing great. Wonderful to see you again. Thanks so much for the kind words. I am looking forward to flight training. I will keep you in the loop on how things are going. Thanks so much for the comment. And I hope you’re doing wonderfully. 😄
Glad to see you were able to salvage (b/c of what happened to your laptop) and take the time to get this video for us! Zurich is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to in Europe, and I was there many years ago. So clean there! I remember the lake and seeing mountains off in the distance, it was very peaceful and beautiful. I did one of those guide boat tours. Perhaps next time you have an opportunity to go, maybe you can do one of those boat tours. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! And woohoo, your getting closer to 1k subs!! 🎉🎉🎈🥳
Hey there Michelle. Thanks so much for stopping by. Yes, Zürich was an amazing place. And I only wish I had more time to explore. There’s so much beauty to see there. I did one of those guide boats in Amsterdam recently. It was so cool. Yes, almost 1K subs. Super exciting. Thanks so much for coming along on the adventure. I appreciate you. 😀
I was lucky to get Zürich as my first TO. I was also fortunate to have a wonderful crew help me along the first international trip. If you haven’t gone, I would highly recommend it. So much culture and so much to see.😃
I would like to turn my home into a crashpad. If I have a 3 bedroom home with 3 beds am I only allowed 3 individuals access to my home? Or can I have as many people as possible as long as it works with everyones schedule?
Hello there. In my opinion, it might be possible to put two people to a room if there’s enough space for two beds and dressers in each room. Making it comfortable is a top priority. Space and organization are very important. Hope that is helpful. Thanks so much for the comment And for watching. Take care.😁
Hello there. I would say one of the top things is Organization. Try to make as much room and the ability to organize their things. Space is King. Also, if there is a place they can get ready and not disturb others that are sleeping would be a huge plus. Hope that helps. Thanks so much for the comment and for watching.😊
That’s great Pete. You’re going to do so great. One big piece of advice I’ll give you is to always look hppy to be there and never stop smiling. They watch for things like that. Please let us know how things went. All the best to you.😀🙏

That is so great Pete. Congratulations on your interview. I know you’re going to do amazingly. Please keep us informed on how it goes. I wish you all the very best. Talk soon.😃👍
Unbelievable! It's shocking that people would behave that way on a plane. Thanks for sticking up for yourselves and the other passengers. You guys are heroes!
Thanks so much, Chris. Very kind of you to say. Yes sometimes people might forget themselves but we just have to remain professional through it all. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing. Have a wonderful evening.😁
You are my favorite!!!! Thank you!!! Greek speaking flight attendant have my in person interview w/ a major airline you give me inspiration thank you ❤️
Great video I got invited to a major airline in person in 2 weeks. Being older 50 but all my life in customer service industry like 30+ yrs want a change. HERE I GO LOL
Hey there Pete. Thanks great! Congrats! Yes, I am in the same boat. Decades of customer service. I know you’re gonna do great! Please let me know if I can help in any way. 😀
I am a felon..8 was in college..i wrote some checks on my abusive stepdad s xheck book..i did an on paying him back..lol..i was young and stupid....i was 24.. strapped foe cash...h3 dropped the charges..the undercover xops asked me to wear a wite..blind... meaning..walk up to kods on the corn.. selling crack ams make buys..even though i didn't even know these people or whsy i was doing...thats why theu call it blind. They said they would drop all of my felonies to misdemeanors...wven though my stepdad dropped the charges the state picked them up This was 20 urs ago...oh I refused tbeir deal So i was stuck w felonies because i wasn't putting my life or my very academic and career-oriented very good family and risk at risk for myself at risk so I refused their offer and so I got stuck with a bunch of felonies and actually I plead down to 5 I think but they always offer a plea for that that's no big deal.....they have to...but i declined the wire..so now im stuck w felonies. My stepdad lost ZERO dollars
That is a very good question. With a very complicated answer. Ha ha. Maybe I’ll do a video on just that. But to answer you quickly, I sleep when I can. This job does do a number on your body at times. So, depending on the kind of person you are, it might affect you differently. I can manage with 4 to 6 hours of sleep of day when I’m working. 🥱
I'm surprised they cooperated when you told them to move to the back of the plane. I wonder if any of the ugliness would have happened if your boss hadn't returned the limes.
I’m so happy you found me. Thank you so much for subscribing!! Please let me know if you have any questions. In the meanwhile enjoy the content. Have a great summer! 😄
Alternate title: Entitled *ssholes put in Timeout Corner. I bet they were prob pre-gaming in one of the lounges before the flight. Sorry you lost an hour of your layover!
Love your personality! Nice trips and great behind the scenes content. Thanks for sharing I noticed you were barely on time on one of those flights..have you ever been late?
Hello there Dawn. Thank you so much for the kind words. I do enjoy making videos for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for watching. Luckily, I have never been late, nor have I ever missed a day of work. I have been lucky to make all my commuter flights so far. I hope to keep it that way. Lol. 😆
30 minite video boiled down to…So two unruly passengers in first class was moved to the back of the plane during the flight. Once landed, security made an hour report. Got it!
I'm glad you shared your story. It sounds like you and your flight crew appropriately handled the unruly passengers. I do feel sorry for the poor folks back in the back of the plane that had to deal with those two 'privileged characters'. Good job on handling the situation well. I am flying to Australia for the first time in a few weeks. I sprung for business class because of the long-haul flight. I hope I don't see those two on my journey! Thanks for all you do to keep passengers safe and happy. Just know that I very much appreciate you and what you do.
Thank you so much for your wonderful and thoughtful comment. Yes, we do everything we can to make sure that everyone is safe and sound. That is the first priority. Then we also try to make sure that you have a pleasant time on board as well. That is very exciting that you are going to Australia. I have not gone there yet but one day I’m sure I will. Have a wonderful flight. I hope it will be a relaxing one. Thanks again for watching. 😁
I'm surprised that passengers are allowed more than 2 drinks and Therefore for safety all of the airlines are asking for a lot of trouble and should change their rules.
Interestingly enough, the rules are that we can give them two drinks at the same time! But luckily 99.99% of the time everyone acts very respectful and relaxed. So that is very cool. Thanks so much for watching and for your comment. Be well. 😎
