Well done. I may have missed this, but the Canadian Governor General, not the Prime Minister, is the Commander-In-Chief of the country's armed forces. Yes it's mainly ceremonial, but in theory it could come in handy if the PM, as Bat Guano might say, tried some preversions 😅
I don’t agree that the market is going up. When you consider the devaluation of the dollar and lower purchasing power, we really aren’t better off. It takes more currency to buy the same things. I also don‘t agree with raising taxes. The people suffered through a low business cycle and now they’re trying to make up for government folly. Plus it’s a taxing method that not based on sound money, which is unlawful in the first place. Then add in seigniorage and that the government has the power to devalue currency at will to encourage sales from other countries. The government made money with their sale but back home, we end up with higher prices for goods and services. In the end, the government has all the advantages and we are stuck with the liabilities.
This is not R2P this is R2U Resposibility to protect europe. not to Asia....we feel like this is not l Responsibily to protect. us...Even myanmar is UN member...Shame on you R2P...
This video helped me understand this concept further in preparation for my IR paper! I lean on the side of hope, for without any semblance of hope or trust, we can only maintain these chaotic relationships. Leads to acts of preemption out of fear. However, in that states are inherently driven to ensure their own security/survival, cooperation must be mutually beneficial or result in failure.
There is NO SUCH THING AS the King or Queen of England. England has not been a sovereign state for over 300 years. There is a personal n called the King (or Queen) of the UNITED KINGDOM. Why this is such a hard thing for people to get through their head is bewildering. I note you didn’t refer to the US President as the President of California.
It should also be noted that the spending during the recession should come from government debt and not tax revenue. Otherwise the ammount of money in the economy stays the same. The debt can be paid via multiplier effect.
I hate collectivism more than anything. The individual can get left out completely forgotten EVEN HURT in order to benefit the bland, the boring, and the brainwashed. I reject conformity, I reject us, I reject we, and only support beautiful me.

Diefenbaker high school, I remember you was my social studies teacher back to 2019 or sometimes before Covid, and I was followed this channel at that time. Few years after I became a junior student in the UofC studying International Relations. I study the history and global politics all day. Just wanted to say thanks to you and this channel, it played a very important role to helps me learning politics and history, whatever from high school or in the college, helps me creating lot interest to my major. Everything you post in this channel is related to my major class! Btw I am very happy to see you even after so many years, that feeling is amazing, when I see your face it led my memories back to high school but hearing the knowledge of my major.
I wouldn't call the US's invasion of Iraq "smart power" seeing as it was THAT that led to the formation of ISIS. "Stupid power" would be a more appropriate expression.
@@KorczyksClass And in the socio-political sphere you see so many versions of terms being banded about you can start to lose the plot over how they are being used, and what the content maker's intended meaning actually is. From this term you also, confusingly, get libertarianism, classical liberalism, liberal progressivism and so on. I watched a discussion the other day on "neoliberalism". To me an obscure term, and when I looked into it I realised I would have used the term "laissez-faire capitalism". Just an example. Seems to me a key part to unravelling the issue of meaning and definition is to refer back to the originator of the term or of the idea, or both, as you did here. So, to be able to say, "Yes, these are the ideas of John Locke and others" instantly gives a firm grasp on the expression and how it should be used

I have acquired Augustus Kelley’s reprint of the first edition of “The Wealth of Nations,” which is challenging to comprehend due to its archaic English. However, I’ll retain it rather than sell it, as this reprint has become quite scarce, causing its value to increase significantly. The relevance of “The Wealth of Nations” will endure as long as capitalist societies exist.
Mate you know that the rich pay most of the taxes already? We have a progressive tax bracket as is. Can you elaborate what taxes are dropping for the rich. Buzzwords don’t mean much if you can’t substantiate them with examples and evidence

The R2P is nothing. My country Myanmar has been in Chaos since 2021. Too much war crimes here but R2P is too afraid or busy or too ignorant to protect us.
I think the problem with SDGs is that they're not taking into account the security issues of third-world countries. To implement even the simplest SDG, you still need state capacity with a credible government free from the fears of intrastate (civil wars) and interstate threats. That's why I think just like MDGs, SDGs are doomed to fail in the global south countries.
NATO is an offensive military organization. Sorry buddy the reality is the opposite. America dictates to others in the international community how to run their houses abd whi must be the head of the family. So Mr Obama don't stifle your conscience snd try to be politically correct
Realism is what we are seeing playing out on the big stage. Liberalism has risen and now falling and is proving the wisdom of realism. Just take a careful look at what is happening today. It it liberalism or realism. Wars and conflicts everywhere. The US has dumped diplomacy, cooperation, law and order and ethics and adopted a policy if militarisation of international relations abd politics to maintain world domination. Now this behavior of the so-called liberal Democrats lends credibility to the realist theory

Good video. But you're confusing democratic socialism with social democracy. That's two different ideologies. I'm in Europe. Socdem is mainstream. Demsos is not.
