So basically, I want to put a filter on my clip (Size rotation and scale on a still image), I can ADD the filter, but the settings are just never there. the version is 22.12.21, and my operating system is Windows 10. @shotcut please help me.
We added support for selecting clips by dragging a rectangle. You can turn that off in Settings > Timeline > Rectangle Selection, drag the playhead, or hold Shift to use click to seek.
Just curious: Why did you control the shape of the oval by entering values in the properties? It would be far more intuitive to just drag its center and its corners to resize and re-position the shape right on the screen!
I am commenting here because I noticed that Sony Pictures filed a copyright claim on the short Jeopardy clip mentioning Shotcut (totally fair use) and I think that is just scummy. If they want to play that game, then Meltytech should sue Sony Pictures for trademark infringement since Shotcut could be falsely construed as being associated with Jeopardy and/or Sony Pictures.
Shotcut has my attention. Shotcut has the two most important features: 1. It's not rentware. All rentware is a con. 2. Shotcut allows the user (me now) to select a light UI. We call it a "theme" these days. I'll add that it's not remotely hosted. That's big. At first glance it looks as capable as Vegas Pro, which I am replacing. The scaling looks a bit better too. I glanced at the "docs," they look a bit _modern_ to get the job done, but there we are. Now I'll visit the menu one column at a time. Hasty Lumbago.
@@ShotcutApp That may be a workaround but I believe it should be a feature. We should also be able to copy transitions with the same properties like duration. Great app by the way.
Please give me information , How can I select and drag CLIP though MOUSE on SHORTCUT ? , I amd trying till 10 days but not possibel. There no basic function?
Hi, Shotcut supports videos and clips with multitrack audio? I record gameplay on separate audio tracks with Nvidia's shadow play, which gives me clips with double audio tracks, microphone and video game. The program I still use is Vegas 15 Pro which recognizes clips with double audio and automatically separates them onto two audio tracks in the timeline, but the only flaw it has is that it crashes every 45 minutes of work. If Shotcut automatically recognizes and separates the two audio tracks of a clip in the timeline, then I have solved all my problems, otherwise I will have to bother and learn the giant DaVinci Resolve, which is absolutely not easy. Let me know. A thousand thanks.
Yes, but it is not automatic. Just as you can split a file in the timeline into multiple pieces we call "clips" you can add a file to the timeline more than once - or copy and paste a clip to a different track. From there, each clip has its own Properties where you can change the Audio > Track.
I LOVE Shotcut BUT I have one request if anyone there sees this: Can you make the scroll bar either a different lighter color or White? It drives me crazy when light hits my screen and I can never find the scroll bar because there's not much contrast with all the dark features surrounding it. Thanks :)
I am using the last version for Win7 because this workstation has a cage power amp and HPM-100 floor standing speakers for full fidelity. The tutorial above is different than my Win7 version, but it works the same. My Rode Go-II crapped out and failed in the middle of a funeral service, so I had to shift to the in-camera audio. This resulted in two problems: insufficient audio levels and the blower of an air conditioner near the camera position. The Filters demonstrated above let me cut the blower rumble and increase the audio levels significantly. This was my very first use of ShotCut, and I am 110% delighted. Another plus: it is a portable app that doesn't play games with adding junk to the registry and DLL chain. I have it set up in C:\Program Files\Portable\Shotcut with a shortcut to the EXE on the desktop. I'm an old school developer, and find much favor with portable application code.

I rotated the second half of a video from portrait to landscape and from that point on, there was no video at all, though the sound was there. If I ever find out what caused this, I'll add it here.
Thanks, it is not typical that you need to turn off snapping, but sometimes if there are many snapping points it can get it the way. Definitely, Ripple mode must be turned off.
