Really hoping for an answer but being 8 years late I doubt it, how do you load multiple troops like, 10? They always trip over one another and I’ve gotta play w the editor for ages
I would say that having them start in different squads and load in by order of squad, after they disembark they can maybe merge back into one squad? This is for AI right?
I just wanted to leave a comment here to say that if you place an invisible helicopter landing pad it will apparently help the heli land a majority of the time in that exact spot.
brooooo this was exactly what i needed. im suprised u dont need to mess with the times like the (min, med, MAX) with EACH waypoint?! bc thats what i was doing!! LOL
For some reason even though i followed all of the steps, the helicopter wont even turn on let alone take off and I dont know how to solve it (I have multiple AI inside so that may be a factor)
make sure you are marking a flat area to land the helicopter, sometimes rough terrain can affect its ability to land. Other people have commented that placing a helicopter landing prop may also help.
I am sorry I have no idea. Sorry, and good luck figuring it out. If you do figure the solution out, please let me know in the comments here so I can pin that for others to see.
Its been so long since I've opened arma... BUT There is a hotkey (i think it is tab) while you are playing which opens up a command menu. If you are a "squad leader" you can command units to move. However, iirc when the helicopter detects someone enter it, it will trigger the move command. So be fast when getting in.
Two years later and this video is still getting views. I want to be clear that I made this video when I was a beginner in maya, but the method is solid and still works. A common question I have received is, "is there a way to get the textures to export onto one file, but still have the texture sets for when I am working on them?" - to this I am not sure, and as far as I am aware- no. (don't let this dissuade you from researching a way!) Good luck everyone, and keep commenting! I always love to see that this video still is able to help others who are like me!
Hi Raven! Currently what I tend to do is separate my mesh into portions based on size... Recently I created a teleporter for a game, and wanted to separate the controls, base, and frame into their own texture sets. I would say a good way to block them out is by your own feel! But size is how I like to start.
@@UselessMiwa thanks for the reply i fixed that problem adding the delay node between launch character and character movement mode nodes you can stay on flying mode if not flying mode not works correctly
Played all the other Armas and the Flashpoint games the OG ones and just recently got arma 3. This tutorial is better then the other 50 I had to look through. I put it together the triggers and connections over time but I wish i got your video first. Left a sub and a like.
