I had a flight on Sentimental Journey this past weekend. That was about the coolest thing I have ever done and an incredible experience. For those of you wondering if you should book a flight...yes. Yes you should. It's truly amazing. There's nothing quite like this beautiful warbird's engines roaring. Thank you for this video!
A sea plane is not a boat even if it has floats, it has very different handling and reactions to wind. They handled it just fine under those wind conditions...
Love and Hate this Helicopter.. It looks Ugly like a tadpole.. But loved the sound and legacy of the helicopter.. Nevertheless its only Helicopter that you can pop the Hood and check engine while engine running and Rotor spinning.. Try that on new turbine jet helicopter. 😮
Just found out about this historic loss. Was also very disappointed with Irvine California's decision to scrap its PV-1 with the hangar it was in last year. I'm a member of the Ventura Memorial Flight Association based in Edmonton, we have an ex-RCAF PV-1, CF-FAV, that we're trying to restore/preserve.
Back in 1985 I had the pleasure of flying in a Provincetown-Boston Airlines (PBA) DC-3 from Key west to Miami. Earlier that year I saw a Canadian Forces Dakota at a Charleston Air Force Base airshow.
This is the first time I’ve seen a 61 with a military Sea King Style sliding door aft of the undercarriage. Is this a special or are there any other examples of this configuration?
I've taken a ride on this. despite having headphones, it was still the noisiest airplane you'll ever fly on. Also, because of how close the engines were, you could tell which side the pilots flew on by which ear they had hearing loss in.
