En route to Papua New Guinea from Australia, I met a Canadian pilot called Ron Buchanan, who flew these planes for firefighting in Canada. On the "off" seasons, he flew for Talair, in PNG. (I flew for Douglas Airways.) He passed away a few years ago, but I'm wondering if he flew these Convairs?
