@@T4BRISHU The number of proceedings in a probate case in an Indian court can vary significantly based on various factors. Here’s a general outline of the process: 1. Filing of the Petition: The petitioner (usually the executor named in the will) files a probate petition in the court having jurisdiction. This is the first formal step. 2. Issuance of Notice: After the petition is filed, the court issues notices to the legal heirs, relatives, and sometimes public notices in newspapers, inviting objections, if any. 3. Hearing of Objections: If any heirs or interested parties raise objections, the case moves to a contested probate process. The number of hearings increases depending on the complexity of the objections raised. 4. Submission of Evidence: Both the petitioner and objectors, if any, submit evidence and documents supporting their respective claims. Witnesses may also be called. 5. Arguments: Both sides present their arguments before the court. 6. Court Decision: After reviewing the evidence, the court will pass an order either granting or denying probate. 7. Appeal Process (if applicable): If the probate is contested, and either party is dissatisfied with the court’s decision, they may appeal to a higher court. This can extend the proceedings further. In uncontested cases, the probate process can be completed in 10-11 months to 3 years. In contested cases, however, it may take several years, depending on the circumstances.

@@shreya6916 In India, airline compensation for canceled flights or long delays is regulated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) for passenger services. Here’s an outline of when and how you can get compensation: 1. Flight Cancellations: Eligibility: If the airline cancels a flight less than 2 weeks and up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure, the airline must offer: An alternate flight within 2 hours of the original departure time or A full refund. Compensation: If an airline cancels a flight less than 24 hours before departure and fails to provide an alternative flight, you may be eligible for compensation. Compensation is not owed if the cancellation is due to extraordinary circumstances like bad weather or air traffic restrictions. 2. Flight Delays:Eligibility: If a domestic flight is delayed by more than a certain duration depending on the length of the delay: For delays of 2 hours or more (for flights of less than 2 hours duration), 3 hours or more (for flights between 2-5 hours), or 4 hours or more (for flights of more than 5 hours). Compensation: The airline must offer refreshments and meals if the delay is more than two hours. If the delay is more than 6 hours, airlines must inform passengers 24 hours in advance and offer either: • An alternative flight at no extra cost, or • A full refund. • If the flight is delayed by more than 24 hours, passengers are entitled to accommodation, free of charge. How to Claim Compensation: Contact the Airline: Immediately reach out to the airline’s customer service or use the claim forms provided on the airline’s website. File a Complaint with DGCA: If the airline does not respond satisfactorily, you can escalate the issue to the DGCA through its AirSewa portal or app, which allows passengers to file complaints against airlines. Another option: File compensation case against airlines before District Consumer Forum.
