I love the Easy Share snap focus mode on this one - it's perfect for street with a fast film. You can really tell the points of quality throughout, the lens, feature set and build set it apart. Great camera - perhaps surpassed overall by the 160 at the end (but that one really is one of love's ugly children and misses the 28mm).
Haha hope my comment isn't too late. But I was just wondering, what is the autofocus system on the X-T20 like compared to other camera body makes? (Including Canon and Nikon cameras)
If you're looking for decent single point photo autofocus, it's good. Tracking and video autofocus are poor compared to newer cameras from Fuji and most other brands.
Thank you so much for making this video! I've been thinking of uploading again but I just don't have it in me to whip out a whole DSLR all the time lol.
I think to take it in a kit with fujifilm 15-45mm f3/5-5.6 for 300$ or save up and take xa7 + kit lens 15-45 mm. What do you think would work best for me? Although initially I wanted a digital camera for 100-200$.
Just bought two untested off Facebook marketplace for $25 total with a 28-70 and 70-210, not the beer can :'( but after some corrosion clean up they both work great! Super excited to shoot some rolls with them. My first film camera was the srt-101, then I bought a x-570, now the maxxium 7000! Minoltas are so good and since they don't have the same name recognition as Nikon and Cannon they are super cheap!
Just purchased my eos m2 and whenever I capture images they turn out a lot brighter in the playback than what I saw on the LiveView LCD when I was capturing them and I don't see anyway to control canon's "exposure simulation" on this camera.... I have found some work-arounds but i'm curious to know if you have faced the same issues with photos on this camera
Love that camera if you buy new there is a free 35mm dal 2.4 lens option at bnh and Amazon. I previously had the Pentax k70 which has that same sensor and I liked how the colors popped. My favorite lens is the Pentax 20-40 lens.
Originally when the Pentax film project was announced there was meant to be a simple fun film camera and a more pro/serious film camera. Various people are hoping for an MX or even LX re-release or update. I have to admit when I seen the Pentax 17 reviews I wondered if Lumix wanted to appeal to Tiktokers so much maybe they should have gone with a vertical sensor 😅
Last week put in new batteries into my M & 22 f2.0 and I am not dissapointed. Also have a Sony A7 and sooc Sony is very cold, Fuji and Canon do a lot better imho.
Umm one thing not mentioned is this mic kills your phone battery if you are out in the field . The mic needs an on off switch so in between recording you can turn it on and off. Prob not the best for in the field portable video recording. Lessons learned
2:11 it’s incredible how close these images look to pictures taken with a CCD Nikon camera. This is when I realize how much effort Kodak put into the first digital sensors to imitate slide film in terms of colors and contrast rendition.
You could, but the camera is set up for 200 or 400 speed film. If you wanted to experiment with faster or slower films and different development times you might get some cool results.
@@Scott_Graham Hey! We're planning on going to Qatar F1. We're thinking of Turn 2 Grandstand but now wondering why you liked the T1 Gen Ad. If it's better than turn 2 grandstand, that would be great as its cheaper! Hahahaha. Enjoyed your video, thanks!
@@direkfrancis T2/T3 are great, but they're super far from the entrance. T1 had more food vendors and the view down the front straight is awesome. I'm doing T16 this year 🤷♀️
They definitely should hav Mae. An x80 I love this camera had it since maybe 2013 2014.thhe color simulations the screen only thing it’s missing would bea lt in n. Filter like the x100s and it would be totally unstoppable.
The body is brass ,it was camera of the year back in the day i had a few of the same set up . 3 over a few years all with grips , they were tough in the day the winder is noisy as 😀
Thanks to this video, I've just bought a used one, the A20 version with a 15-45 power zoom. Would not have been on my radar but it's a really nice camera and small enough to fit a jacket pocket.
This is a super weird question. Do you have Instagram or something I can send you a video that has a guess that sound? I need to know if you think it’s a camera or not.
what an oustanding and strange coincidence! Just acquired a Pentax 645 and my first roll - serious - was a Fujifilm Acros (expired 2004). Shot the film at 50 ISO.. No problem.
There are no crappy cameras, only crappy photographers ;) Seriously, I've been a Sony user since their first offering, the a100. I've owned many of their bodies including a350, a55, a700, a580, NEX-5 and so on, and I've taken some of my best photos on all of them. My very first good photo that I was really proud of was on my a100 with 18-70 kit lens even.
'Best 50mm lens in the world' - according to AP magazine way back in the day - always found a lot of CA and fairly soft at 1.7 not surprising given its vintage - many new cheap lenses ( TT etc) are far better. Don't be drawn in by the Zeiss name - try before you buy, if you can.
Good RU-vid Scott! I recently had my X70 (originally bought in 2016 - but just sitting around) was recently converted to IR720nm by ACS (UK) …. ! Best decision - and no ‘hot spot’ and of course the lens is absolutely ‘tack sharp’. My normal IR Kit (A7 II with Canon 17-40 f4 and 70-200 f4 via Metabones Adapter) this is just too much to carry around - so a converted X70 to capture the ‘occasional’ IR landscape images - as my primary project now is ….. colour landscape & creative flower photography! Incidentally, I’ve been practicing Black & White IR landscape photography (English Lakes and Yorkshire Dales) since 2012 with talks to camera clubs.
