@@AskSebbyBusiness it’s okay, be the dp you wanna see right? same thing happened to me in march when people at or over 5/24 were getting approved for chase biz cards.
I have all the Amex cards and Chase Business what is my next card to add? Capital One is no good because they report to personal. I do have the US Bank Triple Cash Already
Great big thanks for this and other content! In the past 6 months since I first learned of point/miles, ive been spending countless hours in youtube rabbit holes. On this video for the first time i heard my industry mentioned (trucking business). I cringe to think of the $10,000,000.00 ive paid out in the past 30 plus years without earning any points. Now im downsized alot but currently do around $120,000 a year in expenses that can fall into decent earn categories. So cheers to you and other creators for making this information available to myself and others in the high margin business arena.
How recent were those data points? I tried getting the chase ink unlimited but was declined due to 5/24 (csr even confirmed it when i called the reconsideration line),
You’re watching Sebby’s business Channel - my biz spend on cards can cover the SUB in about 2 weeks. My personal spend would take most of the year to hit the sub.
💳 hey Sebby! How long do you recommend to wait before applying both $0 Ink Business cards? I was recently approved for one of them and would like to get the other asap.
Providing another data point: I recently started a sole proprietorship freelancing as a data scientist. I applied for the CIU, got rejected, took the 5 point hit to my credit score for the inquiry. Called the recon line the next morning to ask what happened, and 5/24 was the first reason given. The other reason given was that I don't have a history of business deposits with Chase, so I guess starting a business checking account with them could help in the future.
I’m a ski bum in the winter, so I’m doing a two player mode on the Wells Fargo Choice Hotel Cards this month. With the 30,000 points annual bonus, that’s 1 to 3 1/2 nights for 95 bucks. It’s not Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott-but if you do your homework, you can find some decent hotels to stay at in ski towns.
I think Hilton/Bonvoy are tough, unless you're looking at expensive options (think St. Regis Deer Valley). Hyatt has some interesting use cases. We ended up doing a night about 2 streets down from the Waldorf Astoria Park City. Nothing fancy but did the job when we couldn't snag an extra WA night!
💳The Capital One personal venture x can add 4 AUs for free. What is the authorized user rules for business venture X? Does it get Priority pass benefits etc?
No fee to add employee cards. My understanding is that the business card does not offer employees PP cards in the same way as the personal. This might change so let me know if your experience is different (since that's a pretty big data point).
💳 found a phone number to Amex business division on doctor of credit to call in an have them add a $500 SUP for the Amex Blue Cash business card that seems to otherwise only have been with targeted offers so went with that the other day. Will probably go for a U.S Bank next Did you make a video on those? Like that you did a separate channel for business cards 🙌
What point earning business card do you recommend for a business that spends low seven figures a year on transactions that will qualify as every day purchases?
You should be fine if you're under 10 personal cards on your personal report. Capital One business also has slightly different underwriting in my experience; less annoying than on the personal end but YMMV.
Credit card points are getting devalued left and right. I see its going to be the trend for the next few years. Can you make more videos on redemption side of things too. Most videos are focusing on earning side of things than spending points. Thanks sebby.. Appreciate your content as always
I may have asked already but.. If my SSN was used to apply for one of the Chase business cards about 4 years ago (got sign on bonus then), can I apply for the same chase business cc using same SSN and get the new sign on bonus as it's been about 48 months since I last received it. Thanks!
💳 I have the spark 2x card and the AF just posted. So I called C1 and they said there were no downgrade options currently available. So I then asked if they had a retention offer and they were able to credit me the $95 AF. So I guess I’m keeping the card for another year. Has this always been the case for C1? I thought downgrading their cards wasn’t an issue.
Capital One is... weird. Downgrades seem to be by person rather than global. i.e., some people are able to downgrade Savor to SavorOne. It's not an option for other accounts. Really annoying from a user perspective.
💳 Planning to get the CIP next month, so the 3 month period can line up with my planned business expenses. I hope the offer sticks around until then. I'm expecting that they'll put a deadline with some notice before ending the offer. Question: is there any need to wait between Chase card applications, particularly if one is business and the other is personal? I'm thinking of getting the personal Hyatt card right after, which puts me at 5/24. I heard there's a limit of 2 Chase cards in a 30 day period, but I don't remember seeing anything about time between applications.
Everyone keeps speculating on these new Citi Cards. I wonder if one of them will be a heavy hitter business card. That would be cool. Seems like people thing that the Premier will get renames but Citi should hit hard with a Business card.
I hope so! It doesn't sound like it though. I'm guessing they play the "Capital One" game = launch a compelling personal card and then make a business version. In that vein, I'm surprised that Chase never launched a "Sapphire Business" card. CIP fits the CSP mold pretty well. Ink Premier is more of a Capital One Spark Cash Plus equivalent.
Seb couple important points. Ink cash and unlimited have 0% Apr for first 12 months and there's a 40k referral for them. Sorry I don't know how to use emojis
@@dyhppyx use it for your every day purchase, and don't pay it off for 12 months. If you have a really high CL, use it to fund bank bonuses and pay taxes.
If you have natural business spend, then put it on spend that you want to float (and then pay yourself out for CD/savings). Otherwise, a lot of them will let you "cash" it out for 3%. Still a ~2% "arbitrage" but only makes sense with a sizeable credit limit. Also makes more sense if you're gardening (since approvals with Chase might be tougher). Other people are better off just opening up another Ink/cards.
💳 Sebby, (not holding you to it lol) BUT, do you think with a 740 credit score, 1 year business, and 1k income/yr would get me approved for a Chase biz card? Already have 5 chase personal cards. Thanks! (hoping you respond :))
$5k in projected income is probably the safe zone (and ideally $10k). AFAIK, projected is fine since they're still using your personal credit as the baseline for approvals.
