There is another type of Syncopated Cuban Break amalgamation that is often used in open-level Cha-Cha in dancesport. This happens usually in L Side-By-Side Position, and usually done on the Same Foot. In this case, the lead and follow does LF forward, RF rock back in place, LF back behind RF, RF rock forward in place, LF forward across RF, RF rock back in place, LF goes back behind LF. (This is "2 and 3 and 4 and 1") If the 7th step ends with a tap step on LF, the dancers usually do that "2 and 3 and 4 and 1" thing again on the same foot. Yes, it is also possible to do the breaks on Opposite Feet too in that position, if you are not at the 'high" open level or for syllabus-restricted purposes.
Comment on change of direction, maybe this is a suggestion for a future explanatory video. Let S = Slow. The count for change of direction is S-S-S, which means I’m ending the three steps of change of direction in the middle of a bar of music. (Let’s say a bar is 4 beats, though I know a musician might be thinking that’s a half bar). S-S-S translates to 12-34-56. Q: Do I hold for two beats to get back on the bar, enabling me to initiate the next sequence on 1 ? ( I can usually feel it when I’m off the bar, and it’s almost excruciatingly confusing, so then I will silently count to try to adjust, but of course I’m fumbling and likely confusing my follow.)

Learning from dance videos takes concentration and patience. 5.) This video made me a subscriber. Thank you! 6.) Your toughest online competitor is Egils Smagris in Latvia.
By from Italy.
