So just for the hell of it, I picked this up today. I returned it immediately. The locking mechanism was absolute garbage. A small plastic ring washer which was already showing wear and tear was the entire linchpin keeping the safety engaged. I would have kept the knife if I was just able to remove the safety altogether. Sadly that's not the case. Edit: I'm specifically talking about the newer version of this slimj model. The one in the video does not have the tang lock slider that I'm talking about
This thing looks too clunky to me, just not appealing. Hey i know, how about bringing back some of your Sog classics, that were awesome and very appealing. The Gov Tac, Desert Dagger 🗡
This is class leading if you're talking "last ditch" belt knife in 4" category. If you're like me, you wouldn't want less than 4". That's as short as you can go, but still having lethal potential. Somewhat overpriced, but designed to perfection. The way they did the grip, it becomes a part of your hand. This model is a homerun and I hope they keep it around for a long time because there's not many other tools on the market with the same design elements
Now if at any point throughout this short video they would have actually taken the time to get a little closer to show what is actually going where to make the cuts, that may just make a whole lot more sense. I know for the people that may be well versed in multi-tools can probably figure that out by the overhead shot but, a lot of people can't
Man that knife looks freaking awesome! To be honest I was wondering what is that fixed blade knife that you pull out in your opening sequence and it might be the one also that you use for a leg tourniquet?
Wanna sell more knives, SOG? Stop using FRN/GRN on anything over $50. Seriously. And, I know, this is pushing it, but stop billboarding on you pocket clips. "Buy why would either of those things stop you from selling knives?" I'm glad you asked. Because it's not The 90's anymore and there are enough companies out there, including American Companies that manufacture over here, that are selling better products at lower prices that we as consumers CAN be so picky as to pass on a knife because of the tacky @$$ billboarding that nobody likes. As much as I love some of your designs, and I absolutely do, I only own 1 of your knives, The Pilar, and I only got that because MidwayUSA was selling it for $100. So basically half off.
Hello, I am writing from Turkey. I am a Tomahawk model ax and Sideswipe model pocket knife user. The spring for opening my pocket knife (under the big screw) is broken and I have to open it by hand, I cannot find help in Turkey.
Don't buy from SOG. They don't honor their warranty. I called today 4/17/2024 and was told I needed proof of purchase to even get my blade looked at. That's bs! I HAVE HAD THE BLADE FOR OVER A YEAR AND AM A LOYAL CUSTOMER WITH MANY SOG PRODUCTS! And I don't have one recipient for any of my blades. Just an industry fast one to get out of doing what they promised. I actually feel sad and hurt. So beware and don't do it! Scott Spence
