There is a bit of non PD stuff in there. I'm going to clean these up and repost them next year. I'm working on the 4th video right now, mostly clips and scraps I had laying around on the laptop. Everything after that will be done more properly. These were just for practice and entertainment.
@@Lisanne78RPM thanks! I found a 78rpm acetate from the forties, no information on the label but a great song, I think you'll enjoy it. Plan to upload on Monday.
I remember listening Ruben Gaines on the radio when I was growing up in Anchorage back in the 1960's. Ruben was the Alaska Poet Laureate in the 1970's.

That’s Public Domain releases for ya. Most of the companies responsible for these DVD and VHS compilations don’t care if the cartoons are in decent quality or not, they just want to make a quick buck without needing to worry about copyright laws.
@@theenchanteddiamond6842hehe, I couldn't resist- that clip always seemed so out of place to start with, I figured it would be even more out of place here...
These public domain tapes often include the redrawn colorized version of black and white Looney Tunes shorts. These versions are not public domain, as their copyrights were renewed in 1994. Only the original black and white versions of those shorts are public domain, not the redrawn colorized versions.
I love the fact that you didn't even dare to find and/or use better versions for the cartoons (eg. restored versions, TV masters, film scans, etc.), and you simply found and/or used the first thing that came out there on the dark corners of the internet (aka. Dailymotion, Internet Archive, Vimeo, etc.).
