if i am making 2 lattes, is it best to put 2 espresso cups one under each drip nozzle and dispense a double espresso, or do two separate single espressos?
Hi, after some advice. Did a pyroltyic clean following the manual, however towards the end of the clean my oven stopped and now says error 8. I’m unable to open the oven now so am wondering how long it takes to cool down without being able to open. I have spoken with technical support and turned power off to oven. A technician has been booked. Thanks for your time
We are owners of an Omnichef and another high end Smeg steam oven. If they are working properly, the results are really good. But thats the Problem - always defective. Last week we had the 6. repair in around 9 month. Today: another defect!! Great value for the money

Why can't the grease on the glass not become ash too but causes a dark brown, not easily removable film? "Clean your glass first" is when you cook a lot like I, half an hour extra prep. 😂
Hi, i just tried cleaning my Smeg SFPA395x - about 1 hr into the pyrolytic clean, the inner glass exploded- luckily nobody was in the kitchen as the shattering caused the door to open somewhat and the portion of the shattered glass to come out the top (assume the door only opened a little bit). I followed the instructions as per instruction manual and this video which still had the glass panel in place. Can you please advise? I am extremely disappointed as a replacement part i assume is incredibly expensive. Regards Craig
Warning - my oven is seven years old, and these rusted out after four years; they're ungodly expensive to replace. Also, the bottom of my oven has a rust hole after having the liner replaced under warranty because the previous oven liner also rusted. I do not recommend Smeg ovens in Australia .
Bought the green one yesterday. Made 2 cups this am with loose coffee properly stamped and it was great. Still trying to get the milk frother to froth, pressing the button would help probably, I forgot.....!

I don‘t have a grinder because we generally use the pads. However, we received a nice bag of roasted beans the other day. So I went to a local supermarket and grinded the beans to Italian espresso powder with the result that the machine can‘t process it. Nothing gets extracted… why?
I'm using espresso grade finely ground coffee in my SMEG ECF01 machine and nothing comes out when I push the button - no yield It works when I use a coarser grind - but that's not why I bought this machine... Is it faulty? Or does this model just not accept a very fine grind?
Please help! We didn't use our machine for a few months and now when we do, the filter basket fills up with a lot of water when pulling a shot and barely anything comes out. Buying a new one-shot basket helped-- we can get a decent shot of espresso with it but it still fills up with water, and it still happens with the two-shot basket (barely anything comes out and the filter fills with water) and it's really expensive to replace. Is there any way to fix it?

I have the 50s Style Esspresso, Grinder, Milk Frother and Hand Mixer. I will definitely be getting the Standing Mixer. Both the Hand Mixer and Standing Mixer have a really smooth and silky action AND are very powerful. The only gripe I have is the big slot on the top of the standing mixer. After a couple of years I fear that all sorts of dust, oil/grease/flour etc is going to accumulate there and I will be unable to clean it. It would be good if it were either more accessible OR closed with a brush and that the chrome slot with the brush could be easily removed and placed in the dishwasher or washed by hand. You could unscrew the pommel at the end of the speed shifting leaver just like you can unscrew the pommel from a car's manual gear stick. Definitely do not remove it as it is actually really beautiful - It's just impractical to keep clean (especially in the environment of a kitchen) and needs a little more thought.
