Just another day in the life of this dad and husband as he and his family navigate this thing called life. Just doing whatever needs to be done, learning new skills, and having fun doing it. We strive to be a Jack of all trades and masters of none… because we are learning and trying new things every day!
We will try almost anything and sometimes it turns out awesome and other times... not so much. Sometimes we wish that the old idiom "third times a charm" was always true! So sit back and enjoy as we share some of the fun and even some not so fun projects as we play and tinker with things around the shop, home, backyard, and great outdoors. Who knows maybe we can give you some ideas that you can use and/or create some memories with your family as well.
That generator is more than enough to run a house. Especially if you have a soft start on your AC. You have to be careful what you turn on but you should do that with any genny. They are home backup. They are to keep the essential items going. They are not to continue running normally. Good video man. Thank you for sharing.
Just suffered that same PITA. Oscillating saw worked pretty good...until it started oscillating😄 Ended up using tin snips and they cobbed it up pretty well too. I use a deburring tool to clean up the edges. Think I'll try a cutoff wheel on a grinder for any other big holes. Looked at your other vid and I see thats not a live (bait) well in the front. Seems like a pretty good place for weight and balance. Any thoughts?
@@1Chosen247 i think it was around $600 maybe a little less but he did water pump impeller and some fuel lines as well. Runs great still… these 115 are some good motors from what we been told.
@@BigRedFishDad Awesome 😎 yeah I went to go fishing with my son out here on the Westcoast and was doing around 30mph when I noticed the boat losing power and as I went to slow down to neutral I saw smoke coming from the engine and as soon I hit neutral the warning sound came out so I shut it off. I took the cowling off and the smoke was caused by oil spray on the engine. So we let it cool down and could not find where it came from. An hour or two later I checked the oil, which there was plenty… and we returned to the dock going no more than 7mph. When I got home I noticed a bolt had come off of the housing cover below the thermostat. So frustrating cause now it has a noise that sounds like the bearing is not right. I checked the cylinders, plugs, put the screw back, added oils since it was low. But it is running. I’m gonna do a compression check today and if that checks out decent, then I’ll take it for a water test.
saw this since i had the same issue. Did find the correct part ( WALBRO FUEL PUMP F20000303G3 ) Figured it's been a while since this video was created and that someone might sell one by now. Part fit perfect but is louder that the original, hope that's not a problem. Also had to replace the fuse and clean the injector in order for it to run but it was definitely a bad pump as well. Quantum Fuel Systems had this part, did not see it on amazon or ebay though. Thanks for the video, gotta love youtube.
@weswidrig1745 the 2 going to the blade pulleys are 5/8 x 48 inch. The PTO belt is either a 5/8 x 46 or 45. I'm not sure yet on that one. I ordered both sizes and I'm waiting on them to come in the mail. I'll try and remember to get back on here to let you know.
@weswidrig1745 I just got the 5/8 x 46 inch belt and it appears that it will work. The 45 inch belt should be here tomorrow so, I'll update again of need be.
So i have this truck and the other thing that's not the fuel pump sticking up on the top side of the tank but on the back what is that? how do i replace it? it has a hose that goes to the evap system .
That's excellent. I have a utility trailer with some rusted cross members. Do you think this would work for them too? Just thru bolt an angle iron over the cross member?
We used it to haul the little black car once and the 88 bronco 2.5 hours away to the coast several times with no issues. If you’re reading all the “expert” opinions about turning just be sure to unlock the steering and will be fine. As for update all the kids are gone now so we have less cars and issues so it was just sitting in the yard taking up space so my son converted it to haul a 200 gallon gas tank.
Simple & cheap, right up my alley, This is exactly what I want to do, to get the crap off our garage floor & utilize space from the ceiling, TY for posting, my Dad had all of those tools in his garage, Lord, I miss that man!
Is there some reason with a dado blade you would be pulling the blade through the workpiece? Seems to me that would cause kickback kickback and possibly even dangerous. I started the best to push the blade away from me. Maybe it's just me✌️
Just happened after 270,000 miles in the wife's jeep. Factory pistons, I was told this happens, and I was rough on the throttle. It did not let go on acceleration, just on start up.
I like the setup! But how does an air hose over the mechanical pump opening, make the new pump work??? I have a 1973 JD 110, that I'd like to convert to your setup!
@BigRedFishDad maybe i don't understand pulse? I was thinking there was a positive or begative pressure, to move the fuel. Covering a hole that movdled a lever, i don't understand how that works....
@@richconrad4554 many small engines use that type its a “pulse” of air released from the stroke happens to come out that same hole. Look up pulse fuel pump operation and can read more about exact functions.
GOPHERHAWK IS THE BEST TRAP, I CAOUGHT MY GOPHER IN 2 HRS AFTER SETTING IT, ALSO A 5 GALLON JUG OF WATER INTO THE HOLE WILL HAVE HIM SCRABLING TO THE TOP AND INTO THE CONTAINER
