Hey bud you might be able to help me…. I have an issue where the van thinks the rear door is open when it’s close and if you open it the van thinks it’s shut! I can’t work out where the rear door sensor is, do you know please ??
Thank you for sharing this video. My Promaster key hinge partially broke, so I ordered a replacement on Amazon and your video gave me the confidence to change over the key and circuit board.
I had a problem with the gauges being randomly stuck in my Boxer van (similar dash) and eventually they all stopped moving. In case anyone is interested the internals of the cluster and replacing the gauge motors I did it last weekend ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--G7G8nrSYJ4.html
Hiya, Just called Cartronix as I have the exact same issue as you - airbag light on and dimly lit lights. They advised that because a warning message comes up on the screen, I actually have two faults. Did you have the message on the screen? And did this repair fix that?
My experience with Crash Data was different. They repaired it twice and both times the airbag light came on after a couple of minutes. Then Crash Data said it was beyond repair without looking at. I found a company in Poland and they managed to repair it.
Super informative video, thank you! The piece you needed to replace in the back doors, can you link it pease? I can't seem to find the name or article number for it. Thanks a lot!
Glad you had a good experience with Crash Data but other viewers beware... I sent the same module as this one to Crash Data twice and both times the error came back within days (I replaced my vehicle battery between this so it might just be a knackered airbag module) When I phoned crash data to ask for advice the guy was really rude and started shouting down the phone demanding battery specs. When I told him to stop shouting he hung up. I've since seen a lot of other reviews of cash data saying they had a similar experience. There are other companies out there who do these module repairs so don't just use crash data because they are the most popular.
i have exactly the same key fiat 500 ....and i have had my coat blown off a rock into a pool of seawater ..the key was inside a zip up pocket ..now its not working ...had to call the AA out ..i put the key in an airtight bag full of rice to absorb the moisture for 12 hours ...the key now starts the car [although it did fail once this morning] but the central locking is dead ..
Would be an interesting topic to find out how many people actually paid the asking price for a replacement module. You state you found one and the price with VAT was around 72 quid but once they got yours it's now over 200. Well as they say that's the internet for you. Some good lots of bad.
I sent my ECU off my fiat ducato to crash data for a reset it lasted 2 weeks before the airbag warning light came back on so annoying I think it is a wiring issue as the vehicle battery has no issues and is not losing or gaining extra power
anybody know where the relay is for the indicators and hazards on an 06 CITROËN Relay II Minibus (250) 2.2L Diesel 101 HP and also what it looks like im totally lost
Great video. This is such a common problem. I have same issue with 2017 Peugeot Boxer, not been in crash, no corrosion. Some say there is an earth problem that causes spurious voltages in the ECU. New vans have a earth lead.
Fantastic video, thank you. Very informative! Will you please tell me what the parts are called that you installed? The black protector parts that slide in to the door?
Had similar issues with the rusty screws loads of them, in the end I got a heavy garden fork and levered the whole floor up in about three pieces, yes this led to a little more treatment on the floor itself.
Just been doing this job ourselves, like yours our van was a screwed in ply floor, our floor was probably a little bit worse than your but we did go a bit strong in treating it. Unfortunately buying our van in february, we were caught completely by surprise when within 12 hours the surface rust started to return despite treatment with rustins. We had to change plans to get primer much quicker than we had thought. I would suggest anyone doing this does it in stages unless they are totally certain they can do the job in on go. We went red oxide primer then hammerite and some metal epoxy stuff for the screw holes, we had some that were 1cm diameter.
