Hi Zac, thanks to your brilliant video, I have saved myself a wheelbarrow full of cash! Crash data received my ECU on Thursday morning - it's Tuesday afternoon and I have got it back and refitted it - all fixed. A really easy service to use and great support from the online chat team who can help at any part of the process. This really puts to shame the Fiat main dealer who wanted to charge £90 to tell me why my airbag light was on - you're telling me they didn't already run the diagnostic when they did the vehicle healthcheck at the service?!? They then said it would cost me c£300 on top of the £90 regardless of what fault code they plucked out of mid air! I'm going to really enjoy cancelling my booking with the dealer :-)

Great video. This is such a common problem. I have same issue with 2017 Peugeot Boxer, not been in crash, no corrosion. Some say there is an earth problem that causes spurious voltages in the ECU. New vans have a earth lead.

My experience with Crash Data was different. They repaired it twice and both times the airbag light came on after a couple of minutes. Then Crash Data said it was beyond repair without looking at. I found a company in Poland and they managed to repair it.

Glad you had a good experience with Crash Data but other viewers beware... I sent the same module as this one to Crash Data twice and both times the error came back within days (I replaced my vehicle battery between this so it might just be a knackered airbag module) When I phoned crash data to ask for advice the guy was really rude and started shouting down the phone demanding battery specs. When I told him to stop shouting he hung up. I've since seen a lot of other reviews of cash data saying they had a similar experience. There are other companies out there who do these module repairs so don't just use crash data because they are the most popular.

I've a motor home . Drove 50 miles halfway home after being parked up 5 weeks then air bag warning light comes on . ☹️Looked under Seat at connections , but not swivel , only 30.000 on the clock as well . Great video . Seems I've got to get it plugged in first ? .to test . Then at least I know about crash data Thankyou

I spoke to the lady at Crash Data and she was very helpful as you say. However my local garage used a diagnostic tool and came up with the error code U1726 - they said that I need a new module, Crash Data said the same thing, new module. However there are none anywhere, Crash Data have 150 on back order and our local Peugeot dealer has 4 on back order, no one can say when they're due in. MOT in June, it will fail. My battery has never gone flat and the motorhome is 2016, no corrosion....gutted and need help..:(

Would be an interesting topic to find out how many people actually paid the asking price for a replacement module. You state you found one and the price with VAT was around 72 quid but once they got yours it's now over 200. Well as they say that's the internet for you. Some good lots of bad.

Hi there, any recommendations for an alternative company to mail the ecu unit to? My model number isn’t an option on their website.

I sent my ECU off my fiat ducato to crash data for a reset it lasted 2 weeks before the airbag warning light came back on so annoying I think it is a wiring issue as the vehicle battery has no issues and is not losing or gaining extra power

Hi i just watched your very informative video as i think i have this problem , as i have the airbag & seal belt lights lit up on my cluster ,, but my mileage also flashes ( but these started at the same time after i foolishly used a soldering iron on the 12v electrics with the battery still connected :( can you tell what your symptoms were that you had ,, was it just the airbag light ( or seat and belt ) also was your mileage flashing ? thanks

Do you disconnect both ends of battery or just negative end.

I have recently had a reprogram by Data Crash they were rubbish for me.. I paid for reset £80 plus... in the end had to go to main dealer to sort spoke to Crash Data and they were not interested
