So DCS gives him under bonnet batteries to test and after 3 years he finds the batteries are not fit after loosing a lassive amount of capacity and they sue him. WTF is wrong with this company. Anyway, screwed themselves now. Only a name change will save them

I watched an American RU-vidr who stripped their batteries down , the batteries did what they said on the tin , but when taken apart what was inside was poor and dangerous.
I think this is just a middleman selling shite batteries from China - they do it in UK - company already gone and renamed already to ypowtyinc ltd - he needs to countersue Mr Wang (fake name) already. They pay no taxes, they pay no vat !!

They fail to realise that yeah they could possibly have the next best thing since Vegemite on toast but without the public behind them they just have thousands of dollars of useless stock that they will have to sell at a loss because they turned on their customers. They should of taken the hit and even sent the guy a few of their products and like you said "worked" with him. His next video may of been a positive response and even free advertising now they have to deal with the aftermath of throwing stones in a glasshouse. 🤦
Yep it's hard to imagine the meeting where they all sat down and said "This is a really good idea" in relation to suing Stephan. They are either collectively the dumbest people on earth, or they've received the worst legal advice of all time!
Let's hope you don't get sued by DCS for this post! You're in a country that probably doesn't have a right similar to the 1st Amendment that a country in North America current mostly has.
No we're actually quite lucky here in that it's not a particularly litigious culture and the bar for defamation is set quite high. People can sue all they want, but good luck showing malice/intentional harm, knowledge of untruth etc. This DCS thing will fall, hard and I suspect they know that.
Once upon a time defamation could exist for something that is true but damages the reputation of another. The defence had to be that it was in the public interest. In the Bruce Lehrman case the defamation was dismissed solely on the basis that the judge thought that it might have been true "on the balance of probabilities". Which of these two is the correct interpretation? If the Lehrman standard was adhered to then any evidence that the review was true would become the end of the action. If the previous standard was adhered to then you would have to show that the knowledge was vital to consumers more generally.
If there products are sh.t why ask to have them reviewed and then not accepting the findings , well I am looking for new batteries and they will not be dcs

Looks great, one thing I would be looking at is putting a reflector under your plate. I put a tail tidy on my Hayabusa and didn’t, until I started seeing the videos about the fines and demerit points for not having one.
He has an unbeatable défense. There are three pillars he can stand on. Is it true? Is it fair comment? Is it in the public interest? While I’m not a lawyer I am a journalist and the same criteria apply. He can easily demonstrate these three things while they must prove malice. This will never make it to court.
Mate you are absolutely right, I'm aware of this and that's why I can't believe that it's even gone this far. They literally don't have a leg to stand on here. No malice, no untruths and certainly information provided in the public interest.
You know its funny. I have no idea a review even existed on these batteries. In fact ibe still never seen it. Its the lawsuit carry on that brought it to my attention.
Agree that DCS could have taken the higher ground and learned how to improve their product from this process. But what if this is true: what if these products are only profitable because they use salvage cells in their batteries with existing wear? What if they knew this from the get go? Maybe there isn’t anything to “learn” because they explicitly designed this product to have the profit margin it does by way of a deceptive tactic employed to deceive and rob customers of the normal cycle life of cells? Then there’s no way to make this scenario work because the company has been shady from the start. I’m not saying this is the case but it’s possible and if true, would explain a few strange data points.
Yes, definitely a shit product according to the Australian Govt authorised tests shown on other channels. I'll bet DCS didn't have much trouble finding a solicitor to tell them this action was a good idea.

Hi Mike, do you have any recommendations for repairers here in the US? I have a beautiful completely original 1968 Sony STR-6060FW that still works great but is due for some light restoration work. I'm scared to bring it to anyone here because I've not found anyone who seems to share your sympathetic and preservationist attitude toward restoration, and I'm afraid of bringing it to someone who will just shotgun recap it. I realize this is a big ask but thought I'd ask - thanks!
There is another review on DCS batteries from the USA done by DIY Solar, very non biased and technically accurate. Final review says sub standard engineering, very second rate assembly and attention to detail with a high probability of failure if used as a car starter battery under the hood. He also points out that it is basically a restickered cheaply constructed Chinese battery. Good on you for supporting the other RU-vid guy, it’s not slander if it’s true.
DCS is short for Deep Chocolate System, it seems every move they make it takes them deeper and deeper into the chocolate abyss, soon they will aspire to zero.
I've been fed this video by the algorithm because of a couple videos I watched by Stephan about his battle. I hope at the end of the day he ends up owning DCS and he works on it becoming a better company. If DCS pulls the suit then he should be taking them to the cleaners. I have been in slightly situation years ago. I used the naughty in and out word as part of the description when I described the way something had been installed. I had photos of the installation purely because I document a lot of my work and the equipment it gets attached to. The installer was trying to claim money for the equipment not being servicable easily. If he'd installed the items as recommended the servicing is a 5 minute job and not a couple of hour job. the installer in the end had to wear his own stupidity. I wore some of his stupidity as well as it took several trips onsite to work out why an analogue to digital input was varying wildly. It turned out that he'd shortened the shielded cable and ran unshielded cable bundled together with the mains cabling for a 10kW motor.
A poor business model: sue people for criticising rather treating such information as valuable consumer feedback to use for product improvement - you're also getting this performance data for free!!
Feedback, as referenced in this video, SHOULD have been motivation to remove, improve and fix the product. Instead, the negative repercussions for this company by ignoring legitimate testing/feedback then proceeding with legal action is quite possibly enough to tarnish their credibility and possibly destroy their business. Very sad when actions such as these place the value of money before human safety.
A couple of years ago there were other people who criticised the implementation of a new medical intervention and were also prevented from sharing their information with others. Welcome to the Brave New World!
Australian (& imported) Car companies learned back in the 1960s that there is no milage in suing for a bad review. That precedence will be hard for DCS to overcome.
Companies and businesses these days like to write their own reviews and or get their mates to write them , i have even seen ads on places like gumtree offering payment for favourable reviews ... Appalling behaviour ...
It’s a terrible response from DCS and out of principle these clowns should be avoided based on their poor response notwithstanding the fact they are selling a product that doesn’t align with what they are purporting it to be.
