Haha I wanted a longer day especially as it was a public holiday but that’s not what happened. Only picked up 265 recycling bins then picked up a bunch of missedy’s and that was it.
I see superior pak and bucher still make these split compactors though bucher offers there darts as a optional extra while superior pak offers it as a main product. Will we see these split trucks collect fogo in future?
I don’t mind driving them at all, they’re not too bad. 890 is the faster and smoother one of the 2 but you can’t treat them like a normal side arm, they’re not as fast so don’t think you’ll be setting records in them. The bottom chamber packs garbage super well though given its tiny, put 560 bins in the bottom last Tuesday and it came out like a mushy brick.
This guy is a legend! Happened to actually know him! Steve used to do my waste collection in Banyo many years ago before he retired. Such a legend that he came to my 3rd birthday party! Watching this video brung back all the memories I had with this truck. Even tho you never see this comment I wanted to share this story with someone who also happened to know this driver!
