It's definitely got my interest, we'd have to see it "in action" to be sure how it works though. I also appreciate that they seem a bit more open to talk about why they're making certain decisions (outside of MMO developers it seems a really rare thing to see)
who cares how the game looks cos thats not its issue its not FIFA its a Football Management game. The game is broken in so many ways, the attributes of both players and staff are not reflected in performances/style of play etc the games finances are nothing short of a joke the game is just not fun to play and no matter how good it might look, thats what matters.
so assuming you can port fm24 save to fm25 i have a create a club 50 years in what would happen when i try to port it if create a club no longer exists
How disappointing. None of this excites me in the slightest. There are two things that need to be done to make a great game: 1) Fix the lazy broken sim that allows a team of otherwise useless, extremely fast players to go from non league to champions league winners - you can literally dominate the game with players with 18- 20 for acceleration and pace in all positions, even if they are donkeys who can't pass or shoot. 2) Introduce GPT powered AI interactions with all players, agents, journalists etc, allowing a limitless range of fun in game communication, because that entire side of the game is frankly time consuming, repetitive and maddening. There is no rhyme or reason why one player or journalist reacts one way and not another, and you generally only get 1 attempt to reply before their reaction to the convo is set in stone. Let us tell Ronaldo to "sit the f down you're on the bench," and have him react in an original way. Let us say anything and everything in press conferences and have the journos be able to understand us and respond originally. To be honest, if this feature isn't being included, then I don't know why they're wasting their time with a new game. AI NPCs are so obviously the next step for EVERY game, so why not FM?
The UI UI looks pretty but I sense a future frustration having to click through multiple "cards" to do/see something that was all available on the one screen previously.
Great Video as always SI I'll be honest bit concerned how some changes will affect Console but hopefully we'll get a few new features too wonder if they'll introduce Management Principles into FM25 in PC
I'm concerned with what may be the "dumbing down" of the game. I hope the level of detail on PC isn't lost just to make life easier on console players.
Its a seperate game- theyve been clear about that before. You can actually run the console version in the PC skin. The video implies all the detail is still there too- just in a more different way
Brave decision to replace the inbox tab because I believe they know that no matter what they'll do not everyone is going to like the change especially since the feature has remained unchanged for most of it's history. I respect that. Unity is capable of great stuff hope they make a good match engine and then build on this.
I assume that’s why they are calling this the first in a new style of FM. Doing it differently. It’s a brave call but I think it’s a good one. Opens up possibilities. A lot of inbox stuff I skip nowadays
Looks like no text commentary bar in the match screenshot 😢 Some saying it looks like a mobile football game but if 3d is drastically improved I can look past a mobile UI
Big disappointment we as players don’t have a personality! Wenger, Ferguson, ancelotti, klopp, pep, moyes, Rogers and so many more are defined by their personality and how that translates into squads Team, finding free transfers and wonder kids rinse and repeat is dull and just not how football works. meta tactics do seem to cycle the game in real life but in act version of FM it’s one meta ye done. The fact we who play the game make the world have zero personality in game is madness. Was hoping with such a revolution in engine we’d have evolution in game. Having an established coaching team to rise with like Eddie Howe and co should be a basic thing. Early days but this might not be a big step more cuts than expanding more streamlined less content.
Shame challenge mode is still another year away, great gamemode. Didn't care for touchline shouts personally- were so basic it felt like punishment for inattentiveness. I like idea of seeing 2d view of team between highlights. Good vid 👍
I can see why they cut it with usage so low- it was cut from pc version years ago. Hopefully it’ll be good when it’s back though. Imagine licensed challenges with more in-depth stories.
The game is pretty inaccessible to new players. It does say in the blog “making navigation easier without compromising on detail” Suggesting everything except the stuff they said they’ve cut is still there
@@SiMaggio I couldnt get into the game first 3 tries I had. Only when I learned that you can delegate everything, I was able to gradually get into the game, and now clock about 1500h per year :/ I think there could be easy access mode which is basically just "delegate everything" for newbies and then gradually easy them into the deep water.
@@JuusoHuttunenOfficial Same, I started playing only on FM24, couldn't get into the game at all 'cause it was all very confusing. Even now I still delegate a lot of things.
One thing I'm hoping for is like a mini open top bus parade simulation at the end of a successful season with the cups on display, players dancing, and maybe even a press conference-esque part where your manager model is holding a megaphone with a number of options to choose from what to say
Maybe somebody can help me. I have many difficulties Managing the potential of my players. I buy a wonderkid 2 stars with potential 4 yellow and 1 white Star. Does it mean 5 stars possible? And when i buy a player with 4 stars sometimes they are getting worse but others not getting better. Dort know what to do. Greetings from gernany
@@SiMaggio the rivalry here in Brazil is just to big hahahhah. Anyway, it’s cool to see a jersey from Brazil even if it’s from our rival. São Paulo fan here 💪
Great video, very insightful. I always get slightly worried when a game changes engine, particularly after seeing the latest rendition of FIFA and PES 😂. Really looking forward to see what it looks like though.
As i knew player who has just done his first season since lma 2006 i qas suprised that i could win the leauge with arsenal with no knowledge of the game
I've got a strong suspicion that the graphics are going to disappoint and will highlight existing issues with the match engine. But I will buy it anyway...
Great video! As a software engineer and game dev hobbyist with unity i have a take on this: The Unity side has only been in dev for 3 years(2021) which started with 2 folk. So realistically the game wont have any of this(Maybe 3d stadiums/shadows on field), but the face and full 3D match engine will be a constant work in progress that takes years to polish to the standard we expect these days, we need to expect a more polished spreadsheet manager like FM24 and if we get anything near to nordeous topeleven 3D engine then id be happy...as a start. I want to point out that the team at FM do an outstanding job at consistency so if anything not 100% miles wont push it out, i give them massive applause for that.
Depends what your laptop is. They did say the minimum requirements are going up. However- Unity might make it easier to run on weaker but newer devices
I want HUGE graphical changes but then giving people like you the option not to have them turned on. The game has been held back graphically for too long!
I played it- there’s another video on my channel. It’s not really a 3d match engine, it only shows you highlights and they are sort of preset animations as far as I can tell. It also doesn’t do as much behind the scenes.
Does the unity engine mean they can process leagues more efficiently in game? I turn off most of the graphics and would be happy with fm12 graphics. I just really want a massive database with as many leagues and players loaded while the game is still playable. Or more complex tactics.
They already improved that a lot with fm24. It’s possible they could streamline things further; the game should get quicker and quicker with newer tech anyway.
pes club manager had the best match engine by far. Player movement, physics, passing, shooting and tackling looked amazing for a mobile game. Konami decided to kill the game to create eFootball... well lets just say it was not a good idea. I would love if fm25 match engine looked and played at least that great. I don't think what will be the case.
The match engine for fm is already doing more than Pes (or fifa) for most things. It’s the graphical representation of it that’s behind. I think it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with
@@SiMaggioSorry for the delay, didn't get a notification. I'm not talking about pes or fifa, pec club manager was it's own game with its own match engine(ME) and graphic representation(GR). I know that FM ME is good. Pes club manager had it own ME and its own GR, different from PES. From what I remember (it's kind of hard to check) ME was good for the mobile game, players could do tricks, bump into each other and even try diving. And GR was the best to this day, I'm sure match engine didn't had player feelings impacting a match and many attributes were not there, but my entire point was about GR and how good it was in a mobile game from 2015, how GR got better from year to year(ME as well), Let's be honest, FM GR was left in the dust, it looks like from a 2005 game. Don't get me wrong I love FM, that's a reason why I'd love to have GM from pes club manager in FM ME. Watch some gameplay from pes club manager, you will understand what I mean.(and remember that matches were quick so treat it as a key highlight). Have a great one.
@@SiMaggio I'm not sure. You don't have direct control so I think it was made for the game. They for sure used normal pes as a reference. But in the end, I'd love for FM to look like that.
It'll be a big mistake, they just needed to bring in some gifted coders to fix up the graphics side of their current engine, an engine that has been fine-tuned with an extraordinary feel for a long, long time.
@@SiMaggio I would imagine the first version will be porting as much as they can over to the new engine intact - UI stuff in Unity isn't that great and I recall reading they have reworked the UI system, so that should hopefully be smooth. Either way it will be a very interesting release imho
I dont believe we need FIFA level graphics. I think just an upgrade to the matrch engine would be great to look a bit more realistic. I watched a video of a match from FM12 and the match engine looked much better. I also think the AI needs a lot of work. Some of the "issues" that players come at you with are a bit stupid. Like signing a 16 year old who gets mad at you for not including him in your CL squad is a bit unrealistic. I have also sometimes found when I'm just playing around with the game and holidaying, the players have lost trust in me due to broken promises or for another reason, I wasnt there mate, I was sunning myself if Greece, take it up with the Ass. Man. Even just a shake up of responses to media, players etc. I've played FM since FM2004 and for the longest time I did EVERY press conference, but over the last 5 years I've not seen any real change to the questions asked, the responses I can give. You cant really create any kind of personality for your manager. You're just this generic robot, dull manager. Let me be a 'Special One' let me be controversial and actually make it have a proper affect on the game and how the media, players, agents interact with me.
The fm12 graphics look better only cause of the pitch lighting I think. When you actually watch the football animations it’s way worse. But yeah lots of little bits to improve
