The auntie knew better. Shes black too. She just wanted to know if your hair was real. Some people will put a root (voodu)on you or need your hair for something. I grew up burning my hair growing up after my mother did my hair. 🤷🏽♀️ 💭 people are curious and hands can be filthy. But I wouldn’t let anyone touch my hair.
So i have really long hair (locs) as well and people stop me all the time. Most black people compliment me but some ask me if it is real. I don’t understand why they ask me that and why it matters to them. White people compliment me and say can they touch it because it smells good. I use lemon grass essential oil on my hair. I have a problem with people wanting to touch my hair as i don’t want other peoples negative energy on me
Too many black women are obsessesd with other black people's hair. Very annoying when they assume your hair isnt yours and arr so bold and confident about it that they are telling any and everybody. Even small black children are doing this. Its ridiculous.
I dont blame outsiders to the culture because they dont know any better. Because so many black women wear fake hair and tell everyone this, they assume all black women have fake hair.
Love the vulnerability of it ❤❤i thought your hair still looked great even when shrunk ... can you also do 21( or any amount )days of chunky twists??i see many long hair RU-vidrs doing it but not in this form (daily records of moisture, life, work, environment interference kind of vlog)
That young flatmate story was such a heartwarming one. If I see a beautiful hair, I say that. Otherwise I keep my mouth shut. That mean flatmate is just a bitter lonely miserable person.
Honestly, a lot of other races, IMO never know when it’s not my hair or not so I don’t even hear that question. The only people I hear from are other black people if it’s my hair or not 🤷🏽♀️
I live in South Africa but my hair is more straight so my arms are quite hairy but they are blond hairs i was teaching children that were predominantly Tswana they were sometimes touching my arms saying" nice " because they are hairy😅, sometimes they wanted to play with my hair but i thought it wasn't a great idea.funny how people want to know texture .
Did you all know that oil will saturate your hair and weaken its structure that causes breakage.do not put a lot of moisture on the root and scalp, some is ok but the most moisture needed is at the ends.oil is bad.use a lotion type moisturizer with water and leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse.stop tying your hair in tight bands, it causes breakage.stop putting wraps on your head 24/7 your hair and head have to breathe.
My new favourite thing to say to people like that asian woman is : Only animals have straight hair 😘 Lice and fleas LOVE straight hair they are far less likely to be able to survive in curly hair.
I get a lot of compliments and reactions about my beard. I've had it long for over a decade, and it is type 4, probably mostly 4A. It hangs down about a foot, and the stretched length is longer. My day to day, I keep it braided or in twists. Because I work with paints, glue, and power tools, I keep it tucked away. The reactions come when I show the length.
You seem like such a sweet and beautiful person inside and out❤ your grace with the mean Japanese lady is the grace i keep trying to aspire to. And you do have extremely beautiful hair, and i think its because you take care of it yourself❤ keep teaching others how to fish.
came back to watch this video a second time after commenting on your q&a video that I would love to learn more about balancing school as a mature student. I love your realistic and practical approach to choosing a degree - passion can only take us so far! I hope this video reaches more kids heading to uni, so much valuable info here🫶🏾
would LOVE to hear more about balancing school and work and how to do well in school as a mature student - currently struggling severely to do well in my classes as a full time employee😭 PS - love you and your content!❤❤❤
The Auntie knew you were grown. She was older than you. That is black culture everywhere. She tells you to come on and the expected response is, "yes ma'am". if you are busy it is, here is my #.
